Kervansaray Lara Hotel
Ranked #183 of 234 Hotels in Antalya
Reviewed February 2, 2013

We spent our honeymoon there and it was an excellent choise. Couisine was perfect, food was really delicious. There are two pools outside. First one is quite, without any music. Second one is much more for families with kids. And there is an indoor pool with spa inside. Rooms are nice with sexy lights on the floor. Staff was professional and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Quiet, relaxing, friendly. Really nice deal, all inclusive is really all inclusive. Staff is really friendly and always trying to make you feel better and better. Got the week trought Thomson at last minute and don't regret it. The Rep Nicky was really there for us. Nothing more you can ask. Would look forward to get back in the summer for a different holiday. Thanks to you all. Special thanks for the entertainment team and the young barman in the Lobby bar. See you soon

We passed one week vacation in this hotel at room 8215. These are our observations:
Negative points:
- Very noisy loby (around 80db);
- Very noisy lobby bar (over 90db at bussy moments);
- very loud live music at Agat bar, people could barely speak (over 90db); At a certain moment, the people on the balcony of the Agat bar closed the door, because the noise was so overwhelming that they could not have a normal conversation.
- Lighting in rooms is fancy, but very poor. Unable to read a book;
- Technical installation not maintained correctly (room 8215): lamp under mirror in bathroom is missing, reading lamp at bed is broken, electrical board has missing protection - lethal hazard;
- A lot of surrounding noises at wing 2 (about 60-70db), view on technical installations of neighbor hotel;
- However we paid an additional amount to have sea view, the sea view was very limited to just a small corner of the sea;
- Soft drinks in minibar were limited to 1 cola every day;
- The broad band internet service is available at an unannounced exorbitant price of 5 euro's a day;
- Central Heating and Air Conditioning System is poorly designed: some rooms are too cold, while other ones are too warm. When absent from the room, the system does not function;
- Food of the Mediterranean ‘à la carte’ restaurant is of mediocre quality;
- The lobby bar has a perforated floor with lights underneath. The last two days of our stay, the smell of vomit turned away all customers.
- To many drunk people, especially Ukranians. Hotel Security Staff had to intervene several times.
- The Aqua bar has nothing special. The announcement on the hotels website is misleading.
- We had a Turkish night shopping, with aggressive salespersons. Nothing you would expect in a 5 star rated hotel.
- Prices at the Spa & Wellness are wild prices, you have to negotiate firmly. The first day they will ask you a 50,00 Euro’s, while some day later, they drop prices to even 5,00 or 10,00 euro’s.
- Not all of the announced activities took place; the communication of the animation team is very poor;
- The presenter of the shows at the night club was screaming so loud into the microphone, that we could not understand what he was telling. He definitely needs some training on how to use a microphone. Music during the shows is very loud (constantly over 90db). They should take more care about the health of the spectators, especially young kids !!!
- At a certain night, only one broken ping pong ball was available at the playground. Unable to play ping pong;
Positive:
- In general the hotel looks nice;
- There is a good variety of food in the main restaurant and is of an acceptable level;
- Very nice tennis courts;
- Food of the Far Eastern ‘à la carte’ restaurant is good;
- Prices at the shops in the hotel are a little above the external shops, but still reasonable;
- The animation team is good;
Conclusion:
However the hotel could be a very good or even outstanding hotel, a lot of small issues get quickly very annoying and irritating. Some of the hotel staff is super friendly; others just do their jobs without any passion. I would rate this hotel as a midrange hotel, definitely not worth 5 stars as it is now.

Room Tip: Do not take rooms in the second building x2xx, view on technical installations of neighbor hotel, no...

Dear P a,

Many thanks for choosing Kervansaray Lara Hotel among endless choices and sharing your impressions here.

As Hotel Management of course we're open to every kind of opinion and respect them, but by your leave shortly we'd like to inform you about some important points:

Our hotel lighting system is a part of our hotel's architectural structure and design. At night it's colorful and dim-lit in accordance with it's concept and slogan.

We could not understand what "the noise in the lobby and public areas" means. We have an airplay in the lobby at a certain level and standards and haven't had a negative feedback about it yet.

Kervansaray Lara Hotel is not only a resort hotel suitable for holidays but also is a convention / incentive and sports friendly hotel suitable for bussiness trips & camping for sport teams as well.
For that reason, the hotel is nearly always fully occupied with the guests staying for multiples accommodation aims. This can give you the impression of a noisy and a dynamic hotel atmosphere. If it disturbed you, we'd like to present our excuses.

Spa Center have a different and an independent management from hotel and due to this unfortunately we can not organize price lists, we can only inspect if the standards of hygiene and usage are proper or not.

In conclusion, we'd like to state that the negative points and critisms in your review are going to be meticulously examined and inspected by our Management Team, and in case of a fixation any defect, it's going to be improved as soon as possible.

Many thanks again for your feedback. Your opinions are very important for us.

With the wishes of welcoming you again with the better vacation memories.

Excellent hotel. Rested there with a friend - and we both were satisfied. Vast territory, nice bars, good food, the contingent is all ages and nationalities. Cleaning room, linen changed and bar replenished every day. Service at a high level. Animators entertained guests all day long.
But most of all we liked lighting the hotel - very nice and unusual.
We didn't like disco, because it started at 24 o'clock and finished at 2 o'clock.

Good sized hotel, the hotel is set up more for the business user rather than for a vacation, The food was excellent and fresh everyday and great variety of food. The hotel staff were good and very helpful, the hotel is looking a bit tired and worn compared to the other hotels next door, the hotel is situated at the end of the street so don't be afraid to keep walking as the further you go the more shops there is. Rooms are sort of futuristic with neon lights running through out the room but the bathroom lets it down by looking very dated! Facilities are excellent quiet parts of the resort if u just want to chill and relax, but also noisy and bass pumping parts of the resort if you are into that atmosphere.

Me and my partner have just recently returned from this hotel. i have to say apart from some dirty child pooping in the main swimming pool it was a fabulous holiday! We only stayed for a week but it was the best holiday ever! The food was cooked to perfection there were different themed nights during the week. They cooked proper kebab meat which was YUMMY! Fresh cooked fish. proper KFC chicken it was the bomb! They had a Turkish themed night where they had a Turkish market, belly dancers, camel rides and fabulous foods. The cocktails were delightful. Would recommend the slushy drinks with some vodka. The beach was lovely although the sand was BOILING. I did get bitten when me and my fiance went swimming in the pool. Try to go further away from the shore and decking/pier :) the tiles around outside of the hotel are scorching so always wear flipflops :O The drinks service when you are eating your meals is ok but due to going in peak season it was quite slow. Our room and bathroom was lovely despite some things that could of been improved e.g. broken light bulb under one of the mirrors, moths down the side of the bed and a crack in the decking on the balcony. Also the mini fridge could of been topped up with more varieties of fizzy frinks... Cola, diet cola, fanta, sprite and pepsi. As we only got a maximum of 5 bottles of coke during our stay. The lunch service was amazing, freshly cooked food, fresh salad and fruit. A great variety of foods. I would of preferred more english foods. A to remove the head, tail and scales from the Sea bass (: We met a lovely couple there as well which gave us more options to do more like walking into the shopping village. I would not recommend walking there on your own or with just two people as it can be quite intimidating when the shop keepers continuously try selling you things. There are great beach activities that you can do, (make sure your insurance covers you for water sports) I would recommend going to the private beach (your hotel) for these water sports. You can purchase these from outside of the hotel but just for your safety and money i would use the hotels water sports team. This can be a family orientated hotel as they have a large family pool with loads of slides, Great activities such as football, tennis and games room complete with two or three pool tables. They also have a mini fair ground! :D There is an outdoor terrace on the bottom floor of the hotel, it is quite hard to find but if you go wandering around the lower floor of the hotel you will find all sorts of bars and coffee rooms. There are some little shops inside the hotel which sell, snacking foods, handbags and purses, clothing ans souvenirs. Very friendly people. :) I would defo go back to The kervansaray hotel but after traveling to other places

Room Tip: Rooms that are on the left hand side of the hotel. (if your at the front of the hotel, facing the ho...

I recently returned from a two week holiday at this resort with my husband and mom and dad. Mom and dad have been to this hotel three times before and loved it but after reading the reviews both me and my husband were a little concerned. We really had nothing to worry about - the hotel is very big and very modern. The rooms were spacious, clean with great air con - the best room we have had in a hotel abroad. Free safe, free pool towels, international alcohol brands (Smirnoff vodka, johnny Walker whisky etc), fridges containing free bottles of water and fruit juice everywhere, slides, 3 pools (one of which is a wave pool) it is also right on the beach with free sun loungers and an amazing beach bar with drinks and food. Entertainment was a lot better then most all inclusive hotels we have been to. They had variety of entertainment in the day- aqua gym, pool games, darts, riffle shooting, beach volley ball, football etc. They also had free mini golf. The night entertainment was good most nights - highlights were the beach party night with tribal acrobatic entertainment, chinese acrobatics, German beer festival with rodio bul. Mehmet entertainment chief was great fun and got everyone involved. Bar staff were extremely friendly especially Uycel and Zecci in the lobby bar. Food amazing - lots of choice, out door eating areas were great and always plenty to fill your plate with. I woudl highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants value for money - I will definately be returning.
