See below for comparison to Titanic, Concorde, Delphin Palace.
We were delighted that this hotel had improved already excellent facilities. New for 2011 was a Patisserie 11am-7pm providing ice-cream, cakes & coffee. Drinks trolley around pool area and collection of kids from main buffet restaurant to mini-disco so parents can finish off their meal at leisure in peace! New bar next to ampitheatre is handy. Hotel is clean, food amazing, the only thing lacking is good evening entertainment. Whilst mini disco is on, there is a lull as live music in the pool bar doesn't start until 10pm and the 9.30pm ampitheatre show is provided by in-house animation staff. Other hotels in the area bring in dance/acrobatic acts.
We've visited Concorde, Titanic & Delphin Palace. Sherwood Breezes is the best value for money, the Delphin Palace is brilliant but it's hard to justify the extra cost, plus the Sherwood Breezes waterslides suit our kids better (age 9 & 5). Titanic has the better pools but food not so great. Concorde more for adults as only a small kids pool with 2 medium & 2 large slides.
Later this year I will be in a position to review the new Royal Holiday Palace & The Lara Beach Hotel ~ though price-wise ~ Sherwood Breezes comes out favourably.
From research I would try Royal Wings next, as great food, waterslides & funfair.
Lara Beach Hotel has an excellent reputation for food.
As we were repeat guests to sherwood breezes we were assigned better rooms on this visit. 1501 a corner suite, road view but plenty of space and 1504, generously sized, balcony overlooking Royal Wings next door. We would definitely consider returning in the hope of a seaview on a 3rd visit.

It's all too easy to write & complain about a bad holiday & forget that people need to know about the good one's too.....this was definitely a good one! The hotel is'nt the most impressive looking compared to some of the others along the strip of Lara Beach, but the holiday experience cannot be faulted......and we expect the best! We were'nt overly loving the resort when we arrived, so am glad the hotel more than made up for it, and as it is all-inclusive with large grounds, the rest of the resort did'nt really matter. Our only hiccup was an extremely hard bed in our (first) room. My husband has a back problem & it could have spoilt his holiday sleeping on that bed, but after mentioning this politely to the reception staff the following morning they offered us another room with better beds and a lovely sea view that we had'nt even paid for!
I cannot rave enough about the food. Incredible value for money, so much choice we had to rein ourselves in. Plenty of different restaurants during the day and there were others for the evening but the main restaurant had endless choices and a lovely atmosphere so we never wanted to try the others. A real treat to have all drinks included, and the mini-bar refreshed in our room every single day. Also enjoyed the free ice creams by the pool!!
The entertainment team need a mention too. Can't fault their enthusiasm & they were so friendly & amusing regardless if you took part or not. Particularly loved the pool games just before lunch which were very comical to watch from the comfort of the sunbed. We were lucky to be there for the Turkish bank holiday and a lot of effort went into entertaining us for the day. They deserve top marks!
This is a review about the hotel which gets top marks, but as I said, we were not so keen on the resort...if you can call it that. Really just a dual carrigeway out the back of the hotels, and very unfinished. Probably will look better when it is done. Just shops, so not much atmosphere out there, so we stayed in the hotel in the evenings.
We had one trip to Antalya using the bus service arranged by the hotel which was very good value. However, word of warning about the shopkeepers down the cobbled hill to the harbour.....do not make eye contact as they hassle you more than is comfortable!!
Overall a fabulous week and we did'nt want to come home.

We stayed there in May this year, before the bank holiday rush. We had a an excellent two weeks there and really enjoyed the activities and facilities on offer. Rooms were slightly dated but the place was cleaned constantly, the outside was spot on but could have done with a shaded area on the kids playpark.

There were a few Germans there when we went, we found them to be ok and had a good laugh with a couple whilst joining in the activities. But guess if you're going to look for faults with anything (Hotel/Guests etc) you will inevitably find them.

Food ok, like a good canteen but can't expect miracles when everything is served on the warm plates for the masses. I wouldn't bother with the Italian al a carte as it was rubbish. Shame there was no bacon for brekka but still plenty of options. Doughnuts, Gozleme, Ice Creams & Baklava excellent.

I wouldn't let any experience deter me from going back and would certainly recommend to people with young kids before/after the peak season as probably better with less guests there.

This is the 2nd time we have been to this hotel ( i posted a reveiw last September) last time it was a fantastic 2 week holiday, this time it turned into a horrible honeymoon.
No air-con in the rooms when the temperature was hitting between 80 and 90, jaquzzis, steam room, sauna all not working, staff very rude - more intersted in the Germans, Food very repetative especially in Bobbys beach bar at lunch time - Chicken kebab 6 times in a week, I never had 1 donner Kebab the whole week i was there, sorry but Turkey=Donner, could not get a pizza without it being burnt and if you want a coke take your pick - hot, flat or waterdowned.
If you would like any more information please contact me i just dont want people to get ripped off

just came back from this hotel.lovely hotel, food fantastic, free mini bar every day.the cleaniness of the hotel is fantatstic.only reason why we as a family with childrens age 2-6 wouldnt go back as the hotel is full of germans, which are very rude.At tea time its is like a cattle market everyone rushing in for food!(anyone swear they avent eaten before!!)the mini disco music is in german with one or two english songs.the mini disco rep speaks in german mostly,so for these reasons wouldnt recommend.this is the only part which lets the hotel down.the night entertainment is ok as long as you are willing to join in!!the entertaiinment team are fab especiallly teito! each day you can change your beach towels..oh by the way the lifts take ages!!glad we wasnt on the 9th floor!!

Room Tip: on the front facing the pool.

Can anyone tell me what the disabled rooms are like here and if everywhere is accessible for an electric wheelchair.
Also, do they supply pool/beach towels or do we have to bring our own?
Going next week.

Thanks.
