Owner description: Descend from Kaleici to the Antalya Marina via very steep stone steps. Bring sturdy shoes so as not to slip. It's well worth the effort because the marina is a lovely crescent-shaped place where fishing boats rub shoulders with smart yachts. Watch the fishermen sell their latest catch and chat with yacht owners. A few small cafes offer coffee or tea. Look back up toward the plateau, which forms the basis of Antalya and get a special view of the landmarks from down below.

Walking in the small old streets is nice and the shopping is good too for small thing but dont forget to bargain and if you dont like the price walk away and they will call u back and when u reach the end you can see the boats are there. You must take a boat trip its one of the best thing to do. Dont you forget to bargain because its a must we were big family and I took the trip for 50 tl and as I said before if u didnt like the price walk away and they will follow you and at the end they will agree on your price.
At the end I remind you dont forget to bargain

The harbour has nice mountain and city views and an old city wall on one side, but it's really nothing that special.

Upon entering the marina path I was offered 10 liras for a 45 minute boat tour. The beautiful Antalya coast in the skyline was beckoning me, it was a nice day and the price was cheap.

They said the tour would start "now" but, instead, for the next hour I kept complaining about the delay, and was moved 3 times to different boats to combine the tourists, and kept being promised the whole time it would start "now" only to be kept waiting while they tried to convince more people to take the tour.

It's low season and I learned a hard lesson. I would recommend the boat tour on a nice day and if you have time to spare and nothing else planned. But do not buy their promise that the boat tour will start right away.

We visited Antalya last year and stayed in Kaleici (highly recommended). We discovered the harbour area by accident when out for a post dinner stroll a few days into the holiday. Wish we had found it sooner as it's a gorgeous place. Steep steps down but so peaceful and pleasant after dark once you get there. As you would expect, it is surrounded by cafes and bars but not too much bustle to disturb. There is an amphitheatre there and there was a local musician playing but not sure how you find out what the program is as there was nothing around telling you what was on. It's character is different by day with much going on and lots of boats selling trips etc. You can get to the bazaar easily from there too. Would also recommend having lunch or a coffee at one of the restaurants (heaven for fish lovers like me) that look down over the harbour and out to sea as it's probably one of the best views in that part of Turkey.
