WOW Kremlin Palace
Ranked #58 of 234 Hotels in Antalya
Reviewed October 30, 2012

We were transferred to the kremlin hotel after been told about our 12 hour delayed flight, having stayed at the royal wings, and the royal palace in previous years, and then our most recent stay the titanic hotel, we we're not too fussed as had read about the kremlin and it's reviews didn't seem too bad, so was quite looking forward to having a mosey round.
Upon arrival, the hotel from the outside is quite impressive, and nicely designed, the reception area is huge and at first glance looks very impressive, as everything is like kings throne style sofas etc, only when you look a little closer you really see how run down this hotel is.
We were checked in, and the bell boy brought our cases down to our room which was through a little alleyway, as walking through the outside area smelt really funny, while been littered with loads of cats and kittens hovering outside the hotel rooms.
Upon walking in to our room, which was situated in the bottom floor, there was an horrific smell of urine, which was bad enough, it was as if the cats had been sleeping in there. My partner didn't even want to take her shoes off as the carpets were that disgusting and stained.
We then opened the curtains to see the balcony area, which had 2 chairs a table, and then a tree view. Literally the tree was coming through the window so there wasn't even room to sit out.
The bathroom was very grubby, and had brown mucky marks all down the side of the bath and the bottom of the bath, literally the best thing about the room was the premier league football channel which showed the weekend football highlights in detail, and also the mini bar which had a couple of beers and pepsi in. I didn't want to get in the covers come bed time either as again the covers just smelt and looked grubby, as if never been washed.
The air con blew warm air out in the room, and I don't think air con existed in the hotel itself either as it was stifling, and it wasn't hot weather wise. The hotel seemed to be catering for the Germans, Russians and mainly all the locals who were everywhere due to the Turkish carnival. we walked round to look at all the facilities on offer and to be fair there is plenty to do at the hotel, there's an amusement area, a few bars in the main lobby, free wifi, a couple of clothes shops reasonably priced too, my mrs even purchased a lovely dress from there too, a souvenir shop, a sweet shop all before even heading outside. The outside are was again littered With things to do, from nice big pools, music, entertainment shows at night, watersides, water pipes, traditional Turkish eating tents,to total chill out bean bags, the only problem being is that everything just looked so old and tired, a lot of the fixtures of the hotel just needed upgrading or modernising and I'm sure it would bring the standard of the hotel up considerably. It was also like we had 2 heads as most of the ignorant russians and Germans just glared at us, while the Turks who had come from Istanbul and other areas for the carnival just looked like they wanted to cause trouble, we had a few knocking on our door, and hanging round outside some of the ground floor rooms. with the hotel rooms we were put in been located a couple of minutes walk through like an alley way me and my partner didn't feel 100% safe to be walking around so even chose to stay in the not so delightful room itself.
In regards to food, this was also disappointing, as there seemed very little choice, maybe two types of meat, one fish, and mainly just salad and fancy cakes which were not our cup of tea. The best food was outside on the balcony area, where you could make your own stir fry and pass it to a chef who cooked the meal for you on the giant wok, this could of been very useful only if we knew what spices were what, and trying to get a word of English from anyone in the hotel was near on impossible. There was also southern fried chicken which was very spicy and tastey served with wedges from the balcony too, so if you don't mind KFC most nights you would be fine as this was fairly good.
Lastly the bar areas were serving drinks in warm glasses, getting drinks mixed up all over the place, and getting non alcoholic mixed up with alcoholic drinks, so thankfully our 6 month old baby wasn't yet drinking soft drinks.

All in all I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, how this can be rated as 4 star is beyond me. I could of gone on for much longer for reasons to stay away, but I think you get my point. Trust me if you are English and want a relaxing nice clean hotel, with a good range of food then this place is not for you at all, unless you want to sit on old dusty loungers where the cats have just been laid. The hotel is also a lot further out than all the nicer hotels on the main strip, so your about 50 minutes to get to the shops if you want to go out for a look in the shops etc.

There were 7 coach loads dropped off at the kremlin. And almost everybody we spoke to coming back today have said exactly the same, so this is not just one couples opinion but several several families and couples too

Room Tip: Stay away from the bottom floor at all costs

i stayed here with partner and 2year old and 7 year old. when we arrived i was taken aback it was sooo big! never been or seen a hotel like it. bell boy took our bags to our room, well i say room but it was more like a flat with upstairs in it. mini fridge stocked daily beer juice and water really was the best room i have ever been in. the hotel is so big you have to really take a moment to figure out where everything is. pools great kids loved it. the entertainment was also the best i have ever seen really up to date and different the entertainment team were out of this world!!! food was good but did feel it catered more for other nationalities rather then brittish, eg soup for bfast!! but you always find something!! the only problem i had was the amount of russians, they are not very friendly and have completely no manners they dont stand in ques at bars or shops just barge through dont know if it was the time of year i was there or if its like that all the time, but that is my only complaint, but going to somewhere called the kremlin palace i sup i should have expected it!! apart from that it is an amazing hotel to stay in you dont have to leave it everything in it, although the shop is expensive alot cheaper down at shops which is only 5 mins dwn road in bus.

Room Tip: my room had upstairs downstairs which was great 2 bathrooms even better when everyone getting ready...

After spending a week long all inclusive holiday booked through Co-op travel we can definitely say we a well relaxed.

The Kremlin hotel in sheer size and aesthetics alone is fantastic. Apart from the array of sparkling pools it would seem like you a actually standing in Kremlin Square. Check in was easy and the staff were very helpful. Our bedroom was spacious and well set out providing privacy on the balcony yet having stunning views. With approx 5 restaurants on site and a huge buffet meal hall food and drink are not a problem at all. Plenty of outdoor activities or sunbathing around one of the luxurious pools or down at the sea there are plenty of ways to keep you occupied... Even the water slides ;)

It was very busy but during the day to didn't seem to be a problem at all as you could always find a chair to sunbath in quite easily. The only down side was due to the sheer numbers in the hotel to book a table for dinner you needed to call a stay rant as soon as it opens otherwise they will be fully booked within in 10 mins of taking bookings. Saying that however we only missed out one night and the buffet dinner fills you up nicely anyway so no big loss.

Over all a great week away, would defiantly stay at the Kremlin again and due to this experience would look at other WOW hotels... Be cautious however if you don't like children.

We spent last week at the Kremlin Palace - our first experience of Lara Beach - it was FANTASTIC!
we were a bit apprehensive after reading some of the previous reviews, but as you always find - its usually different when you get there. It was one of the best beach holidays we've had, the weather was 35 -37 every day, but spending it on the beach with the sea breeze was perfect. The resort is immaculately clean, the best guide to standards I think, is the public toilets, at the beach and pool areas - WOW - it certainly lived up to its name, clean, ALWAYS had toilet paper in every cubicle (small but important details!)
The food was delicious in every restaurant - sure the main one was like school dinner chaos
( as every all inclusive hotel is ) BUT just pick your times wisely - breakfast before 8.15am you'll get clean, set tables, dinner after 8.15pm - same again, lunch - try the Pasha restaurant for the BEST in Turkish pizza, if its burgers & chips your after - the beach bar, or if your taste buds want an adventure you cant beat the main buffet restaurant, the selection is immense. Anyone who complains about the food is either a snob or should go to Benidorm next time !!
The Russians - never came across a rude one yet - no problems at any of the bars at any time during the day or night, infact you'll get your favorite bars, and the bar staff will get your drinks ready when they see you approach - THATS service ! A smile goes a long way in any language and the hotel staff don't know until you say 'hello' your from the UK ( they do seem to prefer us)
The rooms and reception do seem to be a bit 'Faded Grandeur' in places - but hey - did you go on holiday to the sunshine to sit in doors ? Everywhere is spotless and clean - and if you're a cat lover - you'll melt at all the kittens resident in the gardens ! TOP TIP - take a bottle opener for the beer bottles in your mini bar - restocked daily - but no openers in the room and none for sale in the 2 shops ! Or use your initative as we did !! Would very happily return next year - for 2 weeks this time !

Room Tip: Block 3 closest to the beach BUT also the pools & evening entertainment . Great if your into Eur...
