“Beautiful hotel, great setting.”
Reviewed August 13, 2009

My partner and I booked with Thomas Cook, on a half board basis. In the brouchure the hotel looked absolutely beautiful, and when we arrived it did not disappoint. When we arrived we were shown to our room which definately lived up to it's boutique title. Whirl pool bath, power shower, hair dryer, well equipt kitchen area with microwave and fridge. Air con brilliant- definately needed it.

Breakfast selection was fantastic, wide variety of food and great times (7.30 til 10).

Our first meal on the evening was a bit disappointing. After reading excellent reviews we expected something really amazing, but there was not a great selection. Half board guests are required to use a card for extra charges such as drinks with the evening meal. However, we left ours in the room. When no one approached our table to ask us what drinks we wanted, I approached the bar and asked to pay in cash. Such a fuss was made! A waiter approached our table and told us that his boss was not happy with him because I ordered drinks at the bar rather than him coming to our table. When we said we want to pay in cash (which is what every other customer who are on bed and breakfast basis are able to do) it turned into a big issue so we just gave up. On a more positve note, the food the following few days was amazing. However this was not consistent. A couple we met fell ill after eating a chicken wrap, so i'd stear clear of the chicken! The selection of desserts was fantastic, however you need to get them early as flies and wasps swarm around them which is not very appetising.

Great location, bars and restaurants near by. Plenty to do. I really would recommend venturing out of the hotel for your evening meals, especially on the marina where you can get lovely fish and steaks at a really reasonable price. Great restaurant called Vanilla right by the hotel as you turn right out the doors. Frequently went to a bar and sheesha place called Kaptanin Yeri where I would recommend! Atmosphere and people were lovely.

Our last day was a big big big dissapointment. During our stay we booked up a Turkish Bath, of which we were entitled to free of charge twice a week through Thomas Cook.
When we came to pay our final bill we had been charged 112 turkish lira. When we question this charge the receptionist became very cocky and sarcastic saying that we had been charged this for the massage, which we had not been told was an extra 25 tl each. Our Rep got involved and managed to speak to the manager of the hotel who would only reduce the price by half, otherwise the police would be involved. Needless to say we were very very annoyed, so in the end we had to pay the charge, something which we were not informed of by reception when we booked the Bath.

At half five the staff start clearing away the sun loungers which is a bit of a pain if you're the relaxing type.

Other than that, our stay was very relaxing and pleasurable.

I would definately recommend this hotel, and I would also recomment half board basis, simply because it was about the same price for bed and breakfast. It was simply a convienience. Everything but the food and (occasionally) the service could be classed as boutique.

This was a great, classy hotel - we got a terrific rate through hotelclub.com - our room was small but very comfortable and attractive and we were pleasantly surprised by the jaccuzzi in the bathroom. Breakfast and supper were included in the price and both were huge buffets with delicious food.

Service was superior - we are so glad that we didn't listen to the negative reviews of the staff, because we were treated extra well here. The desk staff went out of their way for us, helping obtain bus tickets, translating an internet site, arranging a day tour, and treating us very personally in a friendly and warm way. The pool was small and use was limited as the meals were served in that space. The location was wonderful and the place is gorgeous.

We loved our two nights at this hotel.

Beautifull, quiet, clean hotel with very good service. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpfull. We booked a superior room, with whirlpool. The room was airconditioned and quite large. It is very nice located in the middle of the old town.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Alp Pasha hotel at the end of our 19 day journey through Turkey. We already had to put up with plain rudeness in some hotels but we have to say that the Alp Pasha staff, particularly at breakfast was by far the worst we encountered. What a pity! What a waste considering the buidling itself which has lots of character! We observed that other guests were treated like sh.... and at one stage a member of the staff joking in german with a german guest about another non german!! To get service at breakfast was simply impossible, the waiters would be wandering around with an earphone, obviously communicating with someone with no interest whatsoever of their guests needs. What a shame! On one occasion we asked the front desk staff whether we could borrow a pool towel from the hotel to go to the beach. It was negative with such an attitude! The reason was their towels were not meant for a beach! We discovered later on while lounging by the pool that all their towels were in an appalling condition, torn and fraying!

Lcated in the old centre of Antalya city, which is nicely renovated, full of boutique hotels, restaurants and terraces and souvenire shops, among Roman ruins, just 5-10 minutes walk from the sea.
The hotel is an old Turkish guest house, renovated with taste and preserving the style and spirit of the original building.
Nice pool area and court yards, pleasant atmosphere, good variety fr breakfast and dinner buffets, mostly traditional but also international dishes.
Helpful staff, always helped with the parking of our car in the hotel parking.
The negative aspects would be the poor lighting of rooms, some ventilation problems and not great cleaning of rooms.

The hotel has a lot of rooms and guests so is not a good place to rest. Breaksfast and dinners are around the swimming pool so the chlorine smell is strong and music is swicht on, the whole day.
We paid our room with a credit card (obviously in turkish lira) and they apply a very convenient change for them, so the total amount in Euro was higher than the contracted one in Euro. You also have to pay for the safe in your room.
We asked for the 2 bathclothes (included in the price of the room, but they were not inside), and they brought only one -for two people-, so we ordered for the second one and staff were not very kind about our request.
Rooms are not so nice as they seem at the website.

This hotel has a lot to improve before becomes a boutique hotel.
Apart from nice setting and decor there is nothing more on offer.
I could not agree more with previous reviews, food is preaperad in cheapest possible way and does not match the boutique discription the hotel seems to pride itself on.
Also the food hygine is not up to scrach, food is left uncovered and available to flies and birds. Sitting aroud the pool with your meal isnt a pleasent experience either as all you will smell is a chlorine from the pool water. Staff is very quick to take your plates even before you have finished but that is all they are quick enough to do for you.
We asked for some tea to be delivered to our room well we never got it.
The management need to go back to business school to learn how to run a boutique hotel, because at the moment the hotel is for cheap and cheerful package holidays.
