“In the hart of old city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012

Alp Pasa's situation in the hart of old city, kaleici, is excellent. It's athmosphere is unique and service ecxeptionally good. From hotel it is only about 300 meters to harbour and nearest beach. Perfect place for couples and even families.

Antalya is one of the best places where you can spent your holiday. You can find fun and peace at one place. I suggest to people to take hotel Alp Pasa at Kaleici, amazing old part of the city. It is not ordinary hotel, it is place where you will feel like unique guest, place with history, place that takes your breath at every moment. You will enjoy in real turkish atmosphere and wish to come again!

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days in mid November. When we booked we selected the "Deluxe Room Sea View" with wireless internet access. Room amenities include Beach View, Fireplace, Iron, Kitchenette, In Room Movies and Free Newspaper. What we got was a nice room with non of the amenities. Wireless internet access was only available in the restaurant/bar area. "Sea View" was very difficult to see as the hotel is not on the coast. It is way back. Discussed with the hotel staff at the reception but they more or less said it is what it is... and you can see the view part of the sea from the terrace area during the day.

Maid service was once a day compared to twice as on the reservation confirmation.

Breakfast was honestly the worst we had in any hotel. Choice of squashes rather than fresh juice - fresh juice and coffee was charged as extras. Choice for hot breakfast including eggs was poor. Choice of cold meats was very poor. I have been to bed and breakfasts with a better spread.

Dinner menu choice is ok but prices are above average. Plenty of other places to eat within a very short distance in the marina and old city with very good food and value for money.

Almost all serving staff in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner were not very polite apart from 3 of them. Non of them greet you in the morning of evenings.

Hotel manager walks around in a mood and not very friendly.

Plus point is the hotel is in the old city and is a lovely restored building. The old city is the place to be unless you want a breach holiday. Lara beach is about 15 mins by taxi.

Point here is that if you choose this hotel then don't expect what you get is as they have on the website. Another 3 guests also raised issues with the hotel similar to what we outlined above.

Room Tip: Definitely choose the so called Sea View rooms because some of the alternatives are not pleasant bas...

Had a great stay during my 9 days in Antalya. Travelling almost almost every month. This place will be one of my favourites. Nice otomanian rooms, breakfast is good, cleaning is great. Will book again!

We were here in october and spent in this hotel 7 days. The first nigh we saw a cockroach in our apartment and went to reception for changing the room. Receptionist looked at us as we are mad or something and answered that it is Antalya what did you expect and that she killed 5 cockroaches last night. Seriously? This is the answer? We came here for a holiday and to relax but we were chasing the cockroaches and we couldnt sleep the first night and then until our stay here wes over we slept with lights on. I must say the apartment was really nice and clean, I wouldnt expect cockroaches here. Also food was really good I cant complain.
There is also only one small beach near the hotel. We had to travell to another one.

We spend at the Alp Passa Hotel three nights during our 10 days holidays in Turkey and we realiced that we should have acutally spend there more days. Not only is the hotel beautiful, the rooms are very confortable and nicely decorated, we stayed at a standard room with one big king size bed and an amazing big bathroom with a huge tub. Small details make the difference thruought the building starting with the extremely nice and charming stuff of the hotel, turkish friendliness at its best. Breakfast and Dinners are the dream of any food lover, the assortment of cheese, bread, fruits and vegetables during breakfast; salads, starters, warm dishes and desserts were endless. One had to pick on a couple and leave the rest for the day after. We tried the inhouse hammam that was a great and relaxing experience, would go for one right now again for sure. The pool, although a bit small, was the perfect ending to a nice beach day or after boat tour trip at Antalya port. The hotel is in the heart of Antalyas old town, a nice walking and shopping area. I am counting the days to go back!

Room Tip: The suits must be great but in case of not being able to pay for it go with a standard room that are...

The reception was ran by two girls both were very helpful and cheerful and made the check in smooth and informative. The bellboy showed to a room in the annex which was a huge with a view over the tops of the roofs. The bathroom had a massive corner jacuzzi bath big enough for two which we used quite often. Due to the hotel being in a central location in the old town there was a little bit of noise from the street below and the 4 mosques surrounding the area called to prayer 5 times a day including 5 am. The breakfast buffet was good with plenty of choice, the evening meal the starter meze and dessert was good but the main course was very average with overcooked meals. The dinner was served very late from 1930. The drinks prices were double than anywhere else.
