“worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2013

Spent couple of hours here before a flight home. Fantastic small museum with extensive range of statuary and also sarcophagi.Well layer out. Some exhibits lacked information whilst others had extensive information. However this is a small quibble. If you have time in Anatalya and have any interest in the history of Anatolia then you must visit

“Excellent exhibits”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 19, 2013

Loved the exhibits. well worth the entrance fee. Particularly impressive were the numerous sculptures. My only criticism was the lack of information on some of the exhibits. Otherwise a lovely way to spend a couple of hours or so. Very interesting and beautifully presented.

“what a fabulous collection”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2013

we have now visited this museum twice this autumn and would love to go back. The quality of the collections is staggering (artefacts, statues, icons, sarcophagi...). Some of the explanations are poor, but most are good.
Do not bother with the cafeteria, although the setting is fine; there are restaurants not far away, overlooking the sea.

“Muze”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2013

For a mainly beach tourism city and region like Antalya to have such a wonderful museum is a great surprise. I thought it might be boring but it was quite the opposite - very interesting.
Even my young son was happy to stroll around it.

It has a fascinating collection of statues from the Roman city of Perge which has inspired me to want to go there.

try and look at the outside collection of larger artefacts if you can as it is easy to just leave after a long foot slog and miss these.

“A travel in the area's historical past”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2013

A very well structured museum offering an overview of the local history from ancient to modern times. The museum has a well organized gift shop and cafe. It is located very close to Konyaalti beach which is also worth a visit.
