This was a late addition to our group tour and well worth it. The museum is very well laid out and the statues, sarcophagi and ethnographic sections are especially good. (There's nothing wrong with the coins, small artifacts, icons, and pottery bits, it's just that the other bits grab your attention.)
The (new?) Hall of the Child (so named on the guide) would be a very useful starting point for school groups - well done to the museum staff. No flash photos allowed in most areas.

“Meeting the gods”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

For the first time it rained. And not a little. So we take a short taxi trip to the AAM. We are spoiled with culture, but pleasently surprised by this wonderfull house of beautiful original statues of Greek gods. Even when the sun shins: don't miss this wonderfull oppoptunety.

“Small quality museum”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

A well set up museum displaying many of the local archaeological finds of the area. Quite a number of wonderful statues from the site of Perge as well as sarcophagi. It also has a small ethnological wing showing Turkish household items and clothes as well as some prehistoric relics.
