there are so many good reviews of this hotel,i dont understand it !. our friends felt the same way as us . we were 6 adults and 1 child staying in 3 rooms july 11th-25th,i could write several pages but i will keep to the main points.
first the good stuff,as everyone says the general look of the hotel is outstanding with expensive looking fittings, furniture etc,the rooms were nice although we had no sea view which we booked,we also requested a bath which are only on the 7th floor, after being told that no other rooms were available and making a fuss at the front desk, they suddenly found a nice sea view room with bath for us on the 7th floor !,(which they said was not available before being shown the non sea view room ) next day they found sea view rooms for our friends which they had also booked.
if you have never been to a,ultra all inclusive 5* hotel or just all inclusive 5* you would think this place was good, last year we stayed in belek at an ultra all inclusive that was truly ultra for much the same money, this hotel is,making tons of money for the owners,by giving quantity but not quality, the food was much the same in one way or the other every day,the buffet looks impressive but is only one third of its size as everything is repeated as you go round.you get many of the same dishes breakfast, lunch and dinner.the theme nights were a joke, there was no theme ! ok,mexican you had mince meat balls as usual but with sweetcorn on top, they did have whole poached salmon on fish night otherwise nothing different.the cakes, puddings, sweets were all of inferior quality.also the layout of the main restaurant was badly planned as often you had a table 2 minutes walk from the buffet, thats if you could get one in the first place, guest relations tried to help us by reserving a table for 7 each night, but it was never there, the restaurant manager could not care less and i was not going to give him 10-20 euros to accommodate us.most of the waiters worked very hard and gave good service, however this hotel brings in young trainee waiters from other delphin hotels and they are useless,i almost got cut twice by flying china and glass which are dropped all the time (they rarely swept them up just kicked the bits out the way) maybe that explains why 30-40% of drinking glasses are badly chipped top and bottom you could cut your mouth quite easily.
the worst thing of all was the ultra drinks, they had some imported brands but if you wanted a good cocktail they lacked the brands needed to make it right, and unless you went to the bar
yourself and gave a good tip you would not get the right thing, as ive said before there was no quality, every bar had a different drink menu so when you found one you did like the next bar had no idea how to mix it !.our 1st week, the hotel was quite busy but you could still find a pool/beach lounger, but our second week the hotel was full ,after 8.30 am, you had to do the old towel on chair trick or you would not get anything.(they remove towels on chairs before 8.30 quite right)
i said this place is like a holiday camp as everything is cheap and cheerful, how anyone can say the daytime snacks are good is beyond me,ive had far better dolma/kebabs than is offered here, in my home town, the baked potato with sweetcorn etc fillings is far from luxury, yes the pier was nice and the beach area nice too.hotel rules are a waste of time, such as the relax adult pool, the sign says no children under 14,kids of all ages were in and out of the pool and NO sunbeds floats etc allowed in pool well there were loads of them untill every hour or so the show would start when guest relations would come round trying to stop people doing all the things that the signs prohibit.outside the main restaurant is also a large sign saying NO shorts/vests/flipflops etc at night another joke !80-90% of the people looked like they had just come off the beach.
this hotel says it wants to be one of the best, its only 1 year 3months old and they are not making people stick to the rules so in time it will just get worse, the hotel is not the most expensive but its not cheap either, for the money you pay to come here you can do so much better elsewhere.
if you are a large family with many young children maybe you will like it,but for couples or families with older kids ,KEEP AWAY

Room Tip: for a decent sea view 5-6th floor up 30s or 60s beware some rooms are small some big for same money

Myself and my girlfriend have just returned from a 7 day break to the Delphin Imperial. The hotel itself is very big, and almost like a Vegas size hotel but don't let that put you off.

We went for a sea view room which I would highly recommend paying the little extra for. The noise levels were none and the view of the sea and pool was very magical. The mini bar is included and restocked everyday.

As for the food, well there is absolutely silly amounts and your tummys will never go hungry. Breakfast runs from 7.30-10am or there is a late breakfast which is 10-11am, although they may as well just say breakfast is 7.30-11am as it is exactly the same no matter what time you go. There is plenty of choices be it cereals, fresh fruit, eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles, etc and there were always plenty of free tables inside or outside.

Lunch again was in the buffet restaurant, but we only ever ate in there twice as we filled up on the various snacks throughout the day. Again though this ran from 12-2.30pm and there was multiple choices of food which were all yummy. There's also an outside buffet for lunch down near the beach if you don't want to go back upstairs.

The reason why we didn't have lunch was due to this. Around 11am a guy comes round the pool serving chicken and rice. From 12-6pm in the pool bar you can get cheese toasties, hot dogs and you can also get a fresh pizza cooked to your liking. 1 min walk up the path there's a little booth that in set times in the days serves different snacks too. 12-2.30pm they serve kebabs which are yummy, 2.45-3.15pm they serve these wrap things with like chilli in them. After that it is jacket potatoes, then its melon and cheese and meatballs after, so you get my drift on why you can fill up on snacks pretty easy without having to worry about going back to the restaurant for lunch. Back at the pool bar in the afternoon there's cakes and from 4pm-6pm they do waffles which seemed to be very very popular and yummy. Ice creams and a juice bar are also available all day.

As for drinks, girls on roller skates take and bring you your order, so you do not have to leave your sunbed at all which is a very nice touch. You can always get bottles of cold water where ever you go as there as plenty of fridges stocked with them throughout.

Coming onto dinner, Again you have the buffet choice, or you can opt to eat in the ala carte restaurants. We found eating around 8/8.30 in the buffet was a lot quieter than trying to get in any earlier. The ala cartes you need to book the morning before and you do need to be at the booths for around 8.45am (they open at 9am) to be able to book a table, but I highly recommend eating in a few as it is nice to have a sit down 4/5 course meal. Also it isn't a different theme each night, there is actually 9 different restaurants!!!

Coming onto drinks, there are lots of different bars scattered all over the place. We found that each bar we went to, they seemed to offer different cocktails at each bar, so it is well worth visiting them just to try these out. For the beer lovers there is also lots of choice. You can get the local on tap being efes, or you can get bottle of efes light, efes dark, becks, dark ale, diesel (fruity beer) and our favorite which we took a liking too was Mariachi (like a desperado so very refreshing in the sun).

Entertainment, well this is the only thing I can mark the hotel down on. As we weren't really bothered by the entertainment as we were happy to just chat, chill and have drinks, it wasn't too off putting for us, but for someone who likes their entertainment it isn't the best. Wednesdays was amazing, as they have a massive beach party with a huge fire, then live music with a foam party so this was fun, but the rest of the week was just dance acts, or nights where they got you up on stage and made you play silly games which unfortunately my girlfriend dragged me into haha!

The hotel itself is very clean and there are always people making sure any rubbish is cleaned up instantly. The staff are very polite and always happy to help you out. If your drink is empty, they will make sure it is full again very quick. While some do not speak the best English, we never had any communication problems and always got treated very nicely and with respect. They don't expect tips or any of that rubbish and they always have a smile on their faces and seemed to absolutely adore children. We got to know a few of them and found that they would always bring our favorite drink over before we had even sat down :)

If you are still hungry in the evening or early hours then the following is available. Camelot bar (or as I liked to call it Camel bar :p ) serves drinks and food from 8pm-8am. Room service is from 12-6am serving a selection of various items.

Once again we both had an amazing week and would definitely go back. If you want peace and quite throughout the day, visit the relax pool (first pool on the right) as they do not let children in this pool.

We traveled - 16th-24th July.

Room Tip: Sea view is a must.

Had a fantastic time at the imperial, the reason I haven't rated it an overall excellent is we did have a few minor issues which are mentioned in my review.
I travelled with my husband and 2 children, on arrival the hotel looks so impressive! it really is lovely!, inside the decor is just beautiful, maybe not to everyones taste (however it was mine!).
At reception/check in there are several people there to help you who speak a range of different languages, they all wear a small badge which has a flag of each language they speak, they are all very friendly and helpful, check in was fast and easy.
our room was perfect!, we were on the 8th floor in a family room with a great view of the pool and sea, very modern & airy, plenty of room, spotlessly clean and everything in the minibar is free which also gets restocked everyday, there is a variety of teas and coffees and a kettle which is quite unusual abroad!, lovely big shower although if you like a bath which I do i,m afraid there isn't one, not that it really made a difference though!..
Beds are very much on the hard side and the covers barely cover the edge of the beds! but we were so tired every night we slept just fine.
the pools were great!, kept very clean and well done to the rollergirls who bring you drinks all day!, that must be hard going in 42 degree heat!!, must mention Damla as she was brilliant!.. my son loved the waterslides and all the pools, the childrens pool with the small pirate ship is great for families with very young children or non swimmers as its quite shallow, there is a lifeguard that walks around the deeper pools but you do not see him very often (not his fault they do need more) and the waterslides are quite poorly supervised due to this so young children need an adult with them at all times. Lots of watersports and activities all day if you want it. my husband and daughter went out on the jet skis and had a great time, the Turkish staff in the watersports beach hut were very friendly and helpful but there is another unfriendly, rude man of a different nationality who works on the desk, didn't get his name.. A tip I strongly recommend is if you want a sunbed by the pool be there at 8.30 in the morning, if its before 8.30 the attendant will remove your towels if you leave them, leave it too late and you wont get a bed.

Food & drink was great with plenty of choice,so much to choose from, however me my husband and daughter did have an upset stomach for a couple days and I spoke to others who had encountered the same, we are not sure if this was due to food, drink or something else but we never ate or drank outside of the hotel, i personally believe it was outside at the lunchtime buffet where the salads are left uncovered in the heat, flies were buzzing around landing on the food and my daughter seen some kind of insect crawling around in the rice!. such a shame as everything else is kept so clean, the food really is lovely and the waiting staff are all excellent!!.

Evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss, some nights brilliant fun, others not so great but all in all it was good and my son loved the mini disco!, gala night is great with a brilliant firework display not to be missed!. also loved the rides at the Luna park which opens in the evening, Turkish health and safety leaves alot to be desired so please watch your children as there are no barriers by the rides & young kids were standing watching within inches of the pirate ship whilst in full swing!.. didnt go in the nightclub so cannot comment.
I've seen quite a few previous reviews mentioning the rudeness from other nationalities, I cannot pinpoint a particular nationality but yes you will encounter lots of frosty faced women miserable men, pushing in, & an abundance of ill mannered people and their offspring, I also witnessed a large Russian man repeatedly hitting his 3? year old little boy who was sobbing by the childrens pool, this really upset me and I could't watch it anymore, I eventually lost my temper approached him & really shouted at him to stop!, the family looked very embarassed and left the pool!, good!!.. I spoke to other families who had witnessed this many times by the pools always coming from a particular couple of nationalities who seem to think it's acceptable to bully and beat their children in full view of other guests.. disgraceful and very sad to see..

Overall though we had a brilliant time, the staff are brilliant, the hotel is lovely, weahter was gorgeous & we made some great friends so all in all an excellent time!

Room Tip: request a pool or sea view

Having thoroughly enjoyed a stay at the Delphin Palace next door last summer we thought that we would upgrade this year to the stunning Delphin Imperial immediately next door and we were not disappointed!!

Lara Beach- not a lot to resort other than nice beach and strip of luxury hotels albeit we noticed that the resort is expanding with more and more shopping centres appearing. Really safe area, we walked about regularly without issue.

Arrival; 25 min journey from Antalya airport; check in was smooth and we were invited to take advantage of the 24 hour a day all inclusive food and drink; thought it would be rude not to have a quick drink in the early hours at the Camelot Bar which was still open at 0430 hrs, and you could grab a snack if you did not wish to use the free room service food menu (0000 - 0600 hrs!).

Room was very modern with a large king size bed and single. Plasma TV with a selection of UK channels including movies, entertainment, news etc etc. Mini bar stocked with beer, soft drinks, water, chocolate and nuts daily, kettle with tea and coffee available (powder coffee and teas not really to our taste but home brands can be taken or bought across road).

The room was spotlessly clean and serviced to a high standard every day. Fruit basket and bottle of wine was a welcome surprise.

Our view was on West side of building, overlooking the main road which we initially were a bit disappointed with but latterly were pleased with same as it was good to watch the world go by while enjoying a drink on the balcony (plus we spent little time in the room).

Hotel has the wow factor from the outside illumination of building at night to the stunning lobby, beautifully maintained gardens etc etc. The cleaning staff are constantly cleaning and ensuring that the hotel is spotlessly clean.

Restaurants; main buffet restaurant is massive with a huge selection of quality foods all freshly prepared regularly ranging from fabulous seafood to succulent meats. A number of themed nights ensured the variety of options kept your interest! There are a number of cooking stations out doors providing freshly prepared foods. The quality of the food is excellent huge variety and the executive chef maintains a keen eye to ensure everything is of top standard. If you are a desert fan; you could feast for days on the selection of cakes etc.

A-la-carte: There are I think 7 a-la-carte restaurants, the hotel has a policy that children are allowed into I think 4 of the restaurants namely the Chinese, Turkish, fish and Italian (there were numerous complaints I believe to customer services re the lack of access to others including Japanese, Mexican, steak and we heard there may be a change of policy coming), and some of the reasons quoted were that the food is not suitable for kids. The décor of the a-la-carte restaurants are stunning and the food likewise! Only other negative was that you have to queue up for opening of computerised booking service at 0900 for the next day as they fill up quickly, but it is worth while queuing!!!!!

Coffee Bar provides wide selection of pastries, sandwiches and cakes along with lovely coffees.

Pools; there are 2 very large main pools, a relax pool, kids pool with pirate ship, pool with mini slides and then the main aqua park with a number of excellent slides. Pools are spotless inside and surrounding and water quality checks regularly seen to be carried out! Lots of beds around pools and we never struggled to get a bali bed or sun loungers for the 8 of us. Hotel have great policy of removing unaccompanied towels etc from beds till 0830 which ensures no pre booking of beds. There is an indoor pool which is great for cooling off after a long day in the sun.

Beach is clean and the pier with bar at end is brilliant around 1700 for a relaxing cocktail as the sun starts to go down about 2000 hrs.

Entertainment- some really good evening entertainment; special mention re the Gala Pool night where superb show put on around the pool - do not miss it, followed by a firework display. Daytime there is always something going on around the pools to keep you busy from pool games, air rifle competitions etc etc.

Kids Club- large area near to the 2 kids pools, staff brilliant with kids keep them amused for hours, there are plenty of drinks on tap for kids as well as snacks.

Drinks; 24 hours a day, just need to ask for branded drinks and that's what you get, also plenty of bottled / draught beers available from Efes, Efes dark, Becks, Marachi etc. There are loads of places to get drinks and numerous fridges around filled with ice cold water bottles. If you cannot be bothered to walk the short distance to one of the bars the Rollerblade girls are always around taking orders for whatever you want to drink up until 1700 hrs and nothing is a bother for them (they probably more upset if you get your own drinks!!).

Staff; cannot do enough for you they were all first class throughout the hotel. Congratulations to you all and the manager for running such a first class operation.

Luna Park has dodgems, big wheel, carousel, boat ride and is open from 1930 - 2130 providing free rides for all.

Arcades, Cinema & 10 pin bowling are also available within the hotel.

Visited Spa but did not use facilities but it was stunning inside including the ice room!!

Guest relations are brilliant they are keen to ensure that the service provided is first class and are regularly canvasing customers to establish if there are any improvements that could be made to the service provided (there is not much to be improved upon I can assure you!).

Special mention to 2 members of staff who made holiday even more enjoyable; Lokman Bilen (pool man - found on pool to left side of hotel as you go towards beach - he works so hard ensuring everyone around the pool is having a great time and the pool area perfect). Also big thank you to Alena Gershtman in kids club who ensured our boys had a ball (albeit we were with them all the time also as youngest is only 3 and we enjoy seeing what they getting up to on holiday).

Would I go back; without doubt... I think you would struggle to get a family friendly all inclusive hotel anywhere to match the surroundings, service and quality provided at the Delphin Imperial, we did Sandals (adult only) for our honeymoon which is only all-inclusive I have been to that surpasses that provided by Delphin for food quality.

Top notch hotel again thank you for a wonderful holiday!!!

Room Tip: We asked to be on an upper floor on west side of building and got that albeit no sea view. You have...

11th - 25th July 2013

Having just returned from a truly fantastic holiday at the the Delphin Imperial Lara Beach, Turkey, with a party of 5 ages ranging from 16 to 70, I simply couldn't fail to mention my experience .
From it's very first impression the Imperial greets you with elegance and class, a wow factor to impress which lingers, this is reflected throughout the entire hotel from the bedrooms, restaurants, and lounge areas to the gym and shops in the basement, superb décor spotlessly clean and refreshing, constantly being cleaned and maintained to a very high standard.

Booking in at the reception area was easy, by friendly, smart and experienced staff.

The rooms are very impressive, modern with vivid furnishings but truly relaxing and spotlessly clean with everything required, including a kettle!!
There are many places to relax and enjoy a drink or bite to eat, these areas are away from the main eating areas which are open both during the day and at night, all continuing the Imperials standard and service.

The main restaurant is filled with friendly enthusiastic attentive staff eagerly awaiting your presence, the food was excellent with an array to serve every perceivable palette, constantly changing and forever being overseen from the kitchen critics, with plenty of seating for all in smoking and non smoking areas. This continues with the outside restaurants, again serving a great selection of foods and drinks to the continually high standard.

The pools are superb, beautifully maintained with no after tang of chlorine or stinging eyes, sun beds for all at any time of day ( front row beds do require an early awakening to reserve!! ).
The beach and pier area is also superbly maintained by very a hard working beach and maintenance team, again sun beds available throughout the day ( premium locations again require and earlier start to reserve ).
The animation team work tirelessly generating activities for all if required, from botcha and shooting to a range of shows in the evenings, they are not pushy and respect your decision to decline if you wish.
My daughter (16), myself and my father-in-law (70) all got massive enjoyment out of the aqua park, with slides suitable for all ages! The ringo's are a great touch for certain slides and there is a lifeguard there during it's opening times.

My only criticism of the hotel is the booking of the al la carte restaurants, I simply don't understand how they appear to be fully booked so early, having been third in the queue and being informed that all reservations have been taken although with seating for 30 persons per al la carte, yet during their opening they appear to be only half full, a lesson could truly be learnt from the Delphin Diva ( which we stayed in the previous year and also thoroughly loved! ). But apart from this, the food was fantastic, and don't feel afraid to skip courses as many are 3,4 or 5! The staff are accommodating to suit your every need!

To summarise, this hotel is up with the best and I certainly would recommend and return without hesitation, with its friendly enthusiastic staff eager to serve you with a smile, constantly cleaning to provide you with a stress free and feel good holiday. All members of staff from the gardeners to the barman and animation team contribute and combine in making this hotel what it truly is.

A special mention to Önder Özdemır the waiter who works effortlessly to fulfil your every need and make your stay that extra bit special!! Remembering the personal minor details that really make the difference. We would also like to thank Mustafa assistant head of main restaurant dining area, who was always cheerful and joking whilst maintaining the professional standard expected of the main restaurant! Finally, the beach bed man (whose name I sadly forget - but wears a trilby hat) who never failed to greet you with a smile and his willingness to help.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at - oliviawhr@gmail.com. We would be happy to provide you with any information you require to give you information about your stay or anything to help you decide whether this hotel will suit you!

THANK YOU all at the Imperial for making this such a great holiday, and one to truly remember.

Initially Hotel building, lobby and rooms are fascinating. Staff is so polite and friendly. Main restaurant is so big and has option to choose interior or terrace but for tables near main entrance you have to pay tip. The hotel has 8 a la carte restaurants that you can eat in all of them free once in a week with reservation in advance. The beach party and foam party was great.
The entertainment can be better but the entertainment staff is good esp. Turgay, Casper and Gul.
Rollerblade girls bring you drinks so fast and there is no need to go to bars.
In our wedding anniversary they made a romantic room for us with flowers, candies, fruits and red wine.
Bars serve both local and import drinks.
Hotel location is in Lara and it has free shuttle bus to Antaliya.
The room service from 12 am to 6 am is free including beverages and foods.
Totally it was perfect holiday.
