We stayed the first week in May at the Baia Lara. First time to Turkey and we will definitely be returning. Short transfer time from the airport which is great after a late night flight. The rooms are really big and extremely clean. Throughout the whole hotel you can not fault the staff constantly cleaning and maintaining the hotels standards. There is a wide variety of food stations especially at lunch with the fresh pizza made to your order and the kebabs and salads. We also went to the white bar where we had fish and chips freshly made. The hotel also has little touches where they go round the sunbeds with ice creams and treats throughout the day. The brasserie is an added bonus too open when the restaurants are not you can have coffee, cakes, food to order 24hrs a day which was a great stop off prior to stepping in the nightclub for the evenings. The entertainment could not be faulted , we have seen our fair share and can honestly say that this was the best especially the evening with the Colombian salsa dancers. There is also a 24hr English pub and a bowling alley. The restaurant is a challenge especially when it is raining as it gets full very quickly we found it best to find a table order your drinks then go and get your food. There are plenty of sunbeds all around the pool and on the beach and even set up on the jetty in the sea. Fabulous resort , fabulous holiday thank you Baia Lara.

We stay at this hotel in 25th March for one week, we want to select one of the best hotel for our honeymoon and i am happy that my choice was best,
everything was excellent and entertainment and food was best in this hotel i suggest to select this hotel for having the best holiday.
warm pool was good, bars was excellent specially i like the restaurant near the sea and pizza part,..
I want to make baia lara number one in ranking so i have some suggestions for good managers of this hotel:
1. put one clock in the room
2. close the one exit door of cinema that doesn't have step
3. it is better to have one or two sports, free of charge and add to package of hotel, tennis billiard,..

other things are really excellent, i suggest to select this hotel for your trip in Antalya

We stayed at the Baia Lara Hotel from the 8/5/14 - 15/5/14, and returned back to the UK the early hours of this morning. It was our first time staying at this hotel, but our 4th time in the Lara Beach area.

Our room was on the fifth floor, facing the land at the side of the hotel. The room itself was spacious, and always cleaned very well by the housekeeping staff. The room had a double bed, and a good sized balcony with two chairs and a table. There are also tea and coffee making facilities, which I used a couple of times to make a coffee. The mini bar is stocked up with fanta, coke, juice, water and beer.

The food at the hotel is fantastic. At breakfast time, there is so much to choose from. There are eggs, pastries, salad, cheese, yogurts, cooked meats, fruit, fresh bread etc. Also lots of different types of cereal, and even fried halloumi. To drink, there is fresh orange juice, also machines for coffee and cartons of juice, milk and water are available.
As for lunchtimes, we mainly went to the Enjoy Snack area near the pool. Freshly made pizzas, fried chicken, salad, fresh sandwiches, pancakes, waffles, donuts, etc. are the types of food served. I loved the fried chicken, and it tastes just like KFC.
In the main dining restaurant, every evening there is a theme for the dinner. I really loved Saturday, which was the Far Eastern night, as there was so much seafood to choose from. French night, which is Wednesday, is also really nice. I recommend the French Onion soup, which is delicious.

At the Baia Lara, you can attend one a la carte restaurant for free during your stay. We decided to go to the Mexican. It was lovely. The waiters bring a little bit of each appetiser and starter on the menu. I loved the chicken quesadillas, the nachos, buffalo wings and potato wedges. For the main, there is a fajita, which we didn't choose to have, but it came out on a sizzler for other guests. I had the Red Bean Salad, which had a spicy seafood dressing, which which was really nice. Dessert was bananas with chocolate sauce with scoops of ice cream and apple pie, it was amazing. During while you eat, there is a woman playing the clarinette, and it makes a lovely atmosphere.

The staff here at the Baia Lara, really couldn't be any more helpful than they already are. They are very friendly, and helpful. The waiters and waitresses at clear your plates quickly, and when you sit down at a table, they come over and ask you what you would like to drink. The housekeeping staff were excellent, and they kept the room very clean. It was also cleaned in the evening, and we returned to find little chocolates on the bed.

We used the Dolmus bus a few times, to go places in Antalya. Numbers LC 07 and LC 08, are the buses which take you towards Antalya centre. We went to Terra City shopping mall, about 30 minutes from the hotel, which is a luxurious shopping mall with four floors of shops and restaurants. Also, we visited the harbour in Antalya, which is beautiful and there are lots of shops around the area. Mark Antalya is also a big shopping mall, about 50 minutes from the hotel.

Overall, we had a lovely holiday at the Baia Lara. We would definitely recommend staying here, and would love to return again in the future.

We stayed for a week at the start of May and had a wonderful time. We travelled with friends and our 2 young sons aged 2. We arrived late, around 11pm, no welcome drink upon arrival after travelling all day, I would have expected this from a 5 star hotel. Our luggage was delivered to our room promptly, and when we requested a travel cot, this was also brought up and set up for us promptly and had a brilliant mattress, normally with travel cot mattresses you end up having to pad them out with blankets etc, these had a standard thick mattress, fab! We had a room on the 4th floor, on the right hand side. If you get a room on the right hand side it's likely you will have a view of the building site next door where another hotel is in the very early stages of being built. Only noticed this when I looked out on the first morning and could see tractors...not the best view to wake up to, and work seemed to start at around 8am. We did ask to change rooms but the only ones available didn't have balconies, and to be fair we were hardly in our room so it didn't really bother us. The rooms are very spacious and exceptionally clean, with plenty space to store your luggage. The bathroom has plenty toiletries should you have forgotten anything. The air conditioning was very poor, or possibly just not switched on fully by the hotel as we were not in peak season.

Breakfast in the main restaurant was delicious, always a wide variety to suit everyone. My particular highlights the pancakes and juice station where you can squeeze you own fresh orange juice. There are several places to eat lunch, the main buffet restaurant (which is pretty quiet at lunch time) the White Bar which was waiter service, lovely food but not a massive choice, or the terraced area around the pool, which was our favourite. This is where the pizza grill is, delicious and well worth the wait. Ice cream is served outside from 1.30.

We ate in the main buffet restaurant each evening, and as other reviewers have said, it's best to head to the same area each evening and tip your waiter on the first night so you'll be looked after and have drinks waiting for you. Menderes was a lovely guy and kept our drinks flowing all week! We also visited the Turkish A la Carte one evening, you need to book between 10.00 and 12.00 and can visit one A la Carte per week. The food was delicious and it was lovely to try some authentic Turkish dishes, especially the dessert. The standard of food and drink at this hotel is exceptional, branded spirits and fabulous cocktails.

We spent a lot of time around the kids pool with our 2 year olds, plenty to keep them entertained as there's a big lawn area with lots of toys and also a small park area. Very slippy around the pool though. We also found all pools, including the indoor pool, to be very cold, as we went the first week of May the weather was not quite scorching enough to heat them.

We visited the Spa twice during our stay, excellent choice of treatments offered. If you visit in your first 24 hours you receive a 30 euro discount, highly recommend the Turkish bath and foam massage. We also took advantage of the on-site photographer and had some lovely family pictures taken on the beach, can be pricey but the quality is excellent.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, grouds well maintained and the staff are generally very friendly and helpful. Location wise, there isn't much else in the area apart from all the other large hotels on the strip and some shopping areas, but you can get a taxi/bus easily right outside. We visited Antalya and took a taxi, very reasonable at 50 Euros return between 4 of us, and much quicker than the bus! Overall, a fantastic stay in a beautiful hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the left side above reception will not over-look the building works next door

Fabulous. The hotel staff were very professional and friendly. The hotel is beautiful no complaints at all. The entertainment was excellent very high quality and suitable for everyone. The grounds are spotless and very well maintained. The five pools were fantastic and beautifully lit at night, the food was superb plentiful and many many choices for all tastes, there were hundreds of deserts beautifully displayed. The fresh fruit was of high quality and plentiful also barbequed food daily . Couldnt find any negatives. Highly recommended.

Just returned from our second holiday at this wonderful hotel. The last time we visited, in June 2010, we had a brilliant time. We were that impressed that we decided to go again...and this time was even better. The hotel alone is first class, but on-top of that you have the food, drink, activities, entertainment and location that are all brilliant. Food is available 24 hours a day and is extremely good quality and variety with a la carte restaurants also on site. All drinks are labelled brands and not the cheap imitations, and like the food there's somewhere to drink 24 hours a day. The hotel is only 25 minutes from the airport, so no long journeys after a tiring flight, and is close to a lot of the recommended attractions like Duden Waterfalls, Antalya Bazaar's and Manavgat. There is something for everyone to do whether it be strolling along the lovely well kept beaches, going to the free gym and sauna or doing the daily activities like water aerobics or archery. Finally and most importantly, the staff are happy, friendly, helpful and would do anything for you - especially the entertainment team - Emel, Mahmood, Burak, Cem and Ivan - who are the nicest people you could ask to meet that make you feel so welcome. They really are a credit to the hotel and represent the hotel so well. We'll definitely be returning again and cannot recommend Baia Lara enough.

Room Tip: Sea / pool facing rooms are better

We stayed at the Baia Lara for 7 nights in April/May. Upon arrival on the transfer to the hotel we were told we would have a champagne reception and there would be a snack bar with burgers and chips for everyone however none of this was available. On the other hand our holiday at the Baia Lara was amazing and we have booked to return next year. The food was terrific especially lunchtime with the food made right infront of you. The staff were also brilliant and attentative especially Mr Arafat Altun who made us very welcome, Shamus and Fehrat were outstanding and their service could not be faulted at all. Also the entertainment team were incredible, Mahmut especially as he was brilliant with the kids and getting everyone to join in with every sort of activity. We hope to see all the staff we have mentioned next year when we return!
