“Really nice hotel but not as fantastic as some of the reviews would indicate.”

Ok let's get to the specifics. The Baia Lara has some really good points and some not so good so I will start with the good-
The hotel is very clean and tidy.
The pool is loveley.
The beach is very nice.
The maids are brilliant and rooms are kept spotless and the mini bar is topped up every day.
The reception staff are friendly and always willing to help.
The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere.
The spa is the best I have ever been to - highly recommend the Turkish bath and massage.
The kids club looks just as clean and has an enclosure for those with younger children.
Now the not so good-
The beds are a disappointing not too bad but had much better.
The entertainment is poor and you need to entertain yourself - unless you call playing cards and having a drink entertainment.
The food is quite good however it's the same every night and just when you think one of the 3 restaurants may impress unfortunately the food tastes the same and like its all from the same kitchen.
No English channels on the TV.
The breakfast may be good for some European guests but not a sausage or rasher of bacon in sight - egg on toast gets boring after a few days and the cheese and cold meats in the morning make you feel sick.
No staircases except the fire escape the lift is very busy and always full so it can take a while to get up and down.
I am comparing this hotel to sentido perissia in side and whilst Baia is probably a bit newer and brighter I think overall the sentido perissia has the edge based on fun, entertainment and overall value for money - next time I come to Turkey I will return to sentido perissia for sure - they have the fun factor much more than Baia Lara. Sorry - it's a really nice hotel but something missing for me and I will defo be ready to go home after 11 nights

We stayed at this hotel for our honey moon on the 9th of April 2013 for a week, The hotel was so clean and beautiful. The staff were very friendly and could speek english well, Our room was very spacious and every day was cleaned with free towles and new bedding and mini bar was restocked every day also. The food is delicious, buffe style with a wide variety of food. They also have 3 al cart resturants which are turkish, mexican and italian, as we were on our honey moon we were aloud to choose 2 free al cart evenings if you want more it was £10 extra. The entertainment team were very good and speek english and many other languages, There is loads to do if you want to. The alcohol keeps flowing 24/7 but beware as they dont mesure the amount of alcohol and drink can be a bit strong. The spa was beautiful but the treatments are very exspensive and we recommend you take euros or pounds with you as they do take turkish lira but dont really like it and every thing was in euros. The shops in the hotel its self were exspensive as they wanted 17 euros for a bottle of sun tan lotion, There are more cheaper shops out side the hotel but again all in euros. All though we went in April and every thing wasnt open yet we have a lovly, relaxing timeand would defently go back again. The only thing I would say is there was an incident while we were there with a man needing medical assistance, where we then relised that none of the staff were trained in any sort of first aid, so the person then had to wait for an ambulance. There is an on site nurse but she seems to only be able to phone the paramedics and not physically touch a patient. We did suggest that the staff be first aid trained to our rep but the reply we got was this is not the UK. Other than that every thing was perfect and we would re turn again.

Room Tip: Pay a little bit extra for a sea veiw room and we recommend you ask for a room from the 4th floor up...

just returned from a 2 week hol from 10th may - 24th 2013, there was 2 familys 4 adults 5 kids and we all loved it from the food on offer ,lunch time was the kids best pizzas, kebabs fried chicken salads everything you could wish for. the al la carte restaurants food was amazing the italiin being my best. the drinks evrything you want even cocktails you can have on the all inc. We got one of the beach huts which was well worth getting sheamus the waiter was superb always there happy to help. but what really made our hol was the entertainment team and kids club, they was superb always smiling offering activitys but never to pushy. zaf, cem, mahmut deserve a hell of alot more credit than they currently recive. also the kids club we had a 1 year old with the rest of the kids neevr wanting to leave there we got friendly with the kids club manager Oznur she was awesome my girlfiend was abit apprehencive about leaving our 1 year old in a kids club (for a small fee we had no worries about doing so a couple of times) but once we had met her all fears was compleatly washed away. people moaning about the location you really dont need to leave this hotel there are shopping centres just outside also if you wish to go abit further there are tri scooters outside at 10 euros per hour you can sort all your shopping needs and have a laugh at the same time. the shop inside is abit expencive but the supermarket on the otherside of the road is 2 mins away and alot cheaoer.all in all i couldnt of asked for a better holiday and would love to return again one day. also if you wish to play football at 5pm with cem make sure your on the opposite team as he thinks hes messi haha from ste and ste from wigan

Room Tip: if yoiu want to choose we had one on the right (entering the hotel)(left as your looking back from...

Hotel itself is clean tidy and beautiful. Entertainment team are young and vibrant and speak very good English. Mustafa the first choice representative is excellent and very professional he is a credit to this hotel and his company. Food could have better variety for British guests in the morning as food is catered more for European guests. Some staff are excellent with service but can't speak very good English and its hard to explain any issues you may have. Some staff are rude and very ignorant towards the British but not to the European guests management should inform their staff that all guests pay good money to stay at this hotel and no matter their nationality should all be treated equally. Had a good holiday and hotel is lovely.

Room Tip: Rooms on floors 1 2 and 3 get outside noise from spare land next to hotel

Really didn't want to go home after a 2 week stay. Everything about this hotel is excellent. Staff are amazingly friendly and ready to provide whatever service you need. Food is tasty and a really wide selection. Lunchtime outside food venues provide even more choice and again delicious. Exceptional quality of food and service is provided at all 3 a la carte restaurants giving the opportunity to taste food you might not try ordinarily. Bedrooms and all public areas are spotlessly clean and hygiene is of highest standard.
The entertainment team work endlessly and Cem, and Mahmout get a special thank you for being our friends throughout our holiday. Long may they continue and I sincerely hope to see them and the rest of the team next year. Finally a big thank you to Mustafa our holiday advisor. We have been lucky to have had him as our advisor 5 times now and he is certainly the most efficient , sincere and dedicated person we have ever met.
I could go on forever singing the praises of everything and everyone employed at this hotel and will certainly be returning as soon as possible.

Sad to leave from day one we were looked after by everyone food is amazing pool and beach areas spotless lots to do during the day made much more entertaining by cem mamood and jafari these are TOP BOYS!! if you come here ask them about that.
Rooms are spotless cleaned everyday a must for families and couples, only downside is things are a lot more expensive in the hotel than shops just outside the gates :)))) Steve Oconnor Wigan

If you are looking to book this hotel then you will have no problems the service the rooms the hotel it self is spot on. We have stayed in 5 hotels in Lara Beach and this one is on par with the Barut but this is newer. The staff make hotel and could not find fault with any one the restaurant manager was great you will see him in the pic with my wife. Said he would take us out to see the places that you never get to see on an excursion on his day off just pay for the fuel so we said yes. I have got to say this was the best trip we have been on in turkey picked us up at 10am Returned 5pm went to three different water falls and cave and finished on a boat trip in Antalya old harbour. We paid for his lunch 7 euros and give him a tip of 30euros it was well worth it if you would like to see any pics of the trip just ask will be going back next year

Room Tip: E Mail hotel before you go and a request a pool and sea view we did and got it
