I stayed here with friends in September 2011. We had a good, spacious room and the staff were friendly and willing to book taxis for us to the old town. In general it is a good hotel but it is not 5-star by western European standards for the following reasons.
At breakfast there is plenty of choice but the coffee is from a Nescafé machine, not fresh, and there is no juice, just squash. Breakfast was understaffed so we never sat down at a fully made table and occasionally had to ask for a table to be cleared. We had lunch once at the pool bar (pizza, pasta and salad) which was fine but overpriced. Four of us stayed in a corner suite which had two bathrooms, but unfortunately one of the showers didn't run hot, and when we told a man at reception he laughed and no-one came to look at it. We had two camp beds in the room, one of which was so hard and uncomfortable that my friend spent the week sleeping on the sofa instead. The cleaners were not particularly thorough – we had a lot of stuff, toiletries etc. but they didn't bother to clean any surface that had something on it.
Other disappointing aspects of the hotel:
At the pool bar and on the beach area where there are sun beds provided by the hotel they play loud dance/pop music which was very annoying. We thought they did it to drown out the noise of the road, but at the beach in particular we wanted to relax and hear the sea rather than this music so on one occasion asked for them to turn it off, and they did. We witnessed another guest get angry at the bar manager when the music playing at the pool was an unedited version of an English song full of expletives, to which the staff were oblivious. Reception staff were happy to give us directions to a supermarket but then argued when we brought back our own water. The hotel shop downstairs is expensive (45TL for sun cream). The location is not very picturesque – apart from views of the mountains on one side, all around the hotel is undeveloped land and right in front is a busy main road. there are restaurants within walking distance but one side of the road doesn't have a pavement which doesn't make for a very nice/safe walk. The other side has does have a pavement and there is a tunnel underneath the road to get from pool to beach.
Overall a nice hotel but don't expect 5-star treatment.
