“I Dream of the Baked Halva!”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

The main course was good, not the best ever... but I will forgive them this for three things:
Atmosphere, friendly service and Dessert. There was truly wonderful folk music playing the nights we were there. (Do not go here if you don't like cats... the place was crawling with them.)

We finished our very good dinner and were brought a nice plate of fruit on the house. We had spotted 'baked helva' (halva) on the menu-- it's their only dessert. Had to try it and so very glad we did. A shallow clay dish filled with bubbly-hot halva with toasty walnuts on top. The texture is like eating half-cooked brownies piping hot. Nutty and sweet--- this was the best dessert I can remember. Returned with friends the next night, just for dessert-- and they swooned as well.

All in-- this is a great place to go and really feel that you are in a friendly restaurant in the heart of Turkey. Good food, kind service and amazing dessert. Price was very reasonable for a spot with great atmosphere and music.

“Definitely a bad choice!”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

We rely on the Lonely Planet but this place must have gone badly downhill! Food very ordinary with tired salad and toasted stale bread. Complementary fruit did not compensate. Not recommended.

“Disappointed at the end”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

This is a great location in the old city of antalya. We visited on a Friday night when it was buzzing and had live music. The food was authentic and excellent and they offered a free starter. However when they presented the bill we found they had substituted the wine we ordered with a dearer brand. They made no apology for this error and refused to reduce the bill to compensate. Sorry to say it spoiled a great night in a lovely location.

“Exactly what I was looking for”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

I was in Antalya for 4 evenings and spent 3 of that in this restaurants. Fish was daily and tasted great. Cold sea food dishes were also lovely. Service was very friendly. There was live music and that made the place very pleasant to spend some time and enjoy slow eating. I will definitely visit this place again.

“wonderful authentic Turkish restaurant”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

Please if this is the only restaurant you et Turkish food in GO ! I have been visitingTurkey for the last 40 years, and was amazed by this little friendly homely restaurant serving the most wonder ful food. You enter via the original Turkish Ottoman officials house, where the cold meze (starters) are beautifully set out on the linen clothed table and go through to the open part of the restaurant and further into the garden if you are lucky enough to get a table there. Great proper short Turkish menu of fish, seafood and lamb dishes, wonderful vegetables, good wine choice and best of all real Turkish folk musicians of a very high standard at the weekends. Lovely friendly staff and just the best place t eat and be hear the old harbour and in the centre of the old town. We came here every night for our week stay in the nearby Tuvana hotel (another delight). Why eat in one of the monster tourist factories restaurants nearby ,when you can have this?
