The main course was good, not the best ever... but I will forgive them this for three things:
Atmosphere, friendly service and Dessert. There was truly wonderful folk music playing the nights we were there. (Do not go here if you don't like cats... the place was crawling with them.)
We finished our very good dinner and were brought a nice plate of fruit on the house. We had spotted 'baked helva' (halva) on the menu-- it's their only dessert. Had to try it and so very glad we did. A shallow clay dish filled with bubbly-hot halva with toasty walnuts on top. The texture is like eating half-cooked brownies piping hot. Nutty and sweet--- this was the best dessert I can remember. Returned with friends the next night, just for dessert-- and they swooned as well.
All in-- this is a great place to go and really feel that you are in a friendly restaurant in the heart of Turkey. Good food, kind service and amazing dessert. Price was very reasonable for a spot with great atmosphere and music.
