we stayed in this hotel for 5 nights, during our last vacation to Alanya, April 2013.
the location is of the hotel is great, the staff are helpful and the rooms are very clean.

the only disappointment of this hotel, is the beach opposite to it, its not sandy, however, in Alanya you can always go to any other beach to enjoy the sun.

We stayed here in May 2013 - This hotel is fantastic, central to everything, absolutely spotless, staff were friendly and very helpful from the time we arrived to the time we left - I had requested, if possible to have a sea facing room - and that's exactly what we got. The choice of breakfast was amazing, from freshly made to order pancakes to the eggs etc - absolutely beautiful. Fresh clean towels every day or more often if necessary - which was amazing!! We have been to Turkey a number of times before but this hotel by far beats them all. If there was a negative to be found it was the rudeness and arrogance of a certain "countries" people who seem to think that can push ahead of others and push past - they don't get the "queue" situation or else they don't think it applies to them - but this is not the Hotels fault (unless they can ban them haha!!). Even when we needed a late check out, it was no problem at all to them.

Room Tip: When booking either through you're agent or by yourself - send an email to request a sea view room if that's what you would like, and in my experience that's what you will get if they can at all.

Just returned from 2 weeks at Hotel Aytur. On arrival at 2am we were booked in with no hassle and taken to our room. Very nice refurbed room. in the morning we got a chance to look around and to sample the breakfast menu. There was quite a variety on offer, if not much typically" british". Still, you won't go hungry, but you may not feel too hungry if the waiting staff get a little too close. We found the dinig room staff mostly unfriendly;and worst of all, their personal hygiene leaves a lot to be desired.Perhaps Right Guard could sponsor them. The pool area was fine but was in shadow for a lot of the time because it is surrrounded by the hotel blocks.Cold water also for the same reason. Cross the road for the beach, but first get cheaper sunbed tickets from reception. Sea water warmer than the pool, but invest in a pair of beach shoes. Very stony at the waterline.
Enertainment at the hotel was virtually non-existant. Monday night is Turkish night;and a turkish pub singer one other night of the weekend. On our first week that was cancelled for a wedding. No animation at the hotel, although the questionnaire asks you to rate it.
If you have children,I would avoid this hotel.Children are not made welcome here. A family with
5 kids were removed from the pool area and sent to a smal pool by the unrefurbed hotel block. They were then given excuses to keep them out of that pool as well. The best part is that they had booked to stay at the Eftalia Village;a kid friendly hotel which Eftalia had overbooked. This is apparently common practice with this hotel group.
Over all this is a nice hotel which could be a lot better with a bit of staff training in the basics of just good manners and deodorant use.

We have just returned from spending a week in this hotel.
It has undergone a refurbishment programme, and as i have stayed there previously, I am very impressed with the new "feel" of the hotel.
We were lucky enough to have a room on the front overlooking the beach and sea.
The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was a good variety that catered for all.

Highly recommmend for the location, only 10-15 mins walk to the harbour and main centre, the walk down you pass many shops, bars and restaurants.

Room Tip: Room 1305 is on the 3rd floor with stunning views of the area and sea. Road traffic could be an issue for lighter sleepers, this was mainly due to us having the balcony doors open in fairness.

After reading other reviews on trip advisor about this hotel I was a little dubious before my husband and I jetted off. When we arrived at the hotel at 2.00am we were put in the old hotel block and even though it was dated etc we have stopped in worse. We got some sleep knowing that in the morning we were going to ask to be moved to a new room. We had our rep meeting first thing and before we even had a chance to mention the dated room our rep had already organised for us to be moved. We could not have asked for more. Our new room was lovely and air con was a god send. We stayed b&b. A lot of people on trip advisor say the hotel food doesn't cater for English people but what do you expect. The hotels main custom are German, Russian, Swedish etc. Look breakfast was continental style and fine. Fresh fruit, bread, fresh fried eggs n pancakes. If you want a full english breakfast then stop at home. Some of the staff looked a bit grumpy but they actually are not, they were all really friendly and helpful especially at the beach bar.
Alanya was beautiful and if you want to see more then I would recommend booking trips at Eftalia tour just down the road from the hotel. Ask for Pasha n say Big Boy from England sent you. He will do really good deals. We booked three trips for a total of £90.00. Do not book with Thomsons reps as it costs this just for one trip.
We both enjoyed eating out every night and would recommend La Luna and Kervans at the harbour but there are hundreds of lovely resturants to try. Alanya was fantastic with plenty to do. Wish I was back. Couldn't fault the hotel, holiday and people.
This hotel is only rated as a 3* in the Thomsons brochure but I think that once they refurbish the dated block like the rest of the rooms and hotel it will get a 4* rating.
Overall we were pleasantly surprised with the hotel and loved Alanya.

Room Tip: Ask to be situated in the new blocks and if road noise bothers you ask for a room not on the front.
