“Very noisy hotel”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Firstly the transfer was a nightmare as stated 2 hours but was if fact 3.5 hours!! So when we arrives we where too late for food. Our room was at the front of the hotel, which was quite noisy, but the room facing in the corridor was worst for the noise. People slamming doors and screaming and shouting!!! Our room was right by the stairs and the lift!! You could here people next door as if they were in your room. The positives about the room was that it was clean and tidy and we had the room cleaned every day and clean towels.
The breakfast was dreadful, the hotel catered more for the Eastern European as there was no toaster... They served broccoli and sprouts at breakfast time!!!! Salad was lunch and diner with other items, but after 5 days of the same food we were told if you want a nice meal go to this certain restaurant which was lush!!!, we were also told where we could get an English breakfast which was lush. We had a turkish bath at the hotel was was fab. The quiet bar was the best at the evening and we were looked after really we'll by the waiter, the cleaner was great. The reception staff were very helpful especially when I was trying to get through to organise the pick up to the airport. The dining room staff were ok, some were a bit grumpy and moody!! The pool was not big enough for the size of the hotel either. Overall I would definitely go back to alanya but definitely would never go back to this hotel!!!

Room Tip: If you go to this hotel, ask for a room at the back on the quiet street

Just come back from Gold Safron. Went as two mature couples so our review is probably a bit different to family reviews ! So, first the postives ! The rooms are huge with a king size and single bed, large balcony with table and chairs and somewhere to dry your clothes, fridge, good shower and hot water. Everywhere is immaculately clean - rooms, pool area where someone comes round to remove any rubbish and empty glasses regularly and dining room where plates are whisked away as soon as you have finished eating. Apart from the guy on reception who greeted us when we arrived and virtually demanded a tip, saying he didnt take coins, all the staff are very friendly. As for food there is always a large selection of salad, the bread is very fresh and a lot of choice, the potato wedges and soup are good. Although free drinks finish at 11pm you can virtually line them up - however you can drink all day and night but will never get drunk !! The hotel is very near the beach and there are a lot of restaurants, shops etc. all around.
Now the negatives, furniture in the rooms is dated. Apart from the food I have mentioned the rest is not good and very repetitive. There is no toaster and all thats available for breakfast is a variety of eggs, bread and buns. All the cereals are awful. They cater more for Eastern Europeans than the British. We did go out to eat a few times and those meals were good. The pool area is not big enough for the amount of guests and you have to be up early to get a sunbed. The evening entertainment starts at 9.30 for adults and is terrible although the animators themslves are lovely. Even outside the hotel there is no entertainment and most places shut early.
The hotel is definately not four star but you get what you pay for and all in all is good value for money although we would not return.

Room Tip: You do not want a room overlooking the pool as this will be noisy and rooms on higher floors are bes...

family of 4 with 2 young girls went to Gold Safron for 2 weeks. hotel rooms are very basic and dated but very spacious with extra room for the girls.the only thing I would say they had no air con in there room so got a little stuffy but they slept well. room maids was not the best some people we got speaking too had to clean their own rooms. food was standard and our advice would to avoid the snack burgers as many people had stomach bugs and lost a few days of their holiday hugging the toilet!!! the animation did their best of what they had, they worked long hours but always had a smile. pool area was nice if you want a sunbed though you will have to set your alarm for 7 to get a sunbed. most of the bar/restaurant staff were really friendly except for one young barman in the quite bar who was consistently rude to us and other guests. photographer in the hotel was absolutely brilliant and I would defiantly recommend the sunset photos. if you want a fab trip out we went on the jeep safari up the mountains and was the best trip I have ever been on well worth the money and the dvd they do is a great souvenir to remember a great holiday. all in all was a good holiday for the money we paid, as long as you make the best of what you have.

Room Tip: room on the pool side can be a little noisy at night.

stayed here in august. when we arrived despite booking for four people we were given a room with two beds. when we took it up on reception we were told on the beach our agents had booked it like this. we were told we would have to pay extra for a room with three beds. any way on the third day managed to swop rooms. the standards of the rooms was poor for a so called four star hotel. bathrooms old and worn with no extraction so all the smells come straight in your room.
everything else was quite good with the food variety and standard excellent.
loads of rusdian guests and not yhat popular with the brits.
location was excellent for the beach

I didnt´t expect much so it was much better than expected. Rooms are big and cleaned everyday. Food was ok. Too far to walk if you wanted to see the central Alanya, but easy to get there.
Service was excellent, especially in the pool bar (thanks to Mustafa) and in the kafe Türk (thanks to Kerem and the sweet girl who worked there).

Family of 4 went to Gold Safran Alanya for 2 weeks for the first time so we did not really know what to expect. Yes, hotel is a bit dated and rooms need new furniture...but really how long do you spend in your room on holiday? For me the best thing was that everyone was really friendly and helpful, polite and eager to please. We love food so for us the food was great....huge selection of cold starters, salads and hot meals...something for everyone and snacks in between every meal....rooms were made and cleaned every day...covers made into a bow...entertainment beside the pool was absolutely great...the boys and girls did their best to find time for everyone, kids and adults. After 11 o'clock in the evening they took young people to the club and brought them back safe and sound and looked after them the whole time. The drinks and food was completely unlimited...you could bath in the drinks if you wanted to...Transfer to and from hotel was on time and the buses are all with a/c so not bad at all. Also air con in the room was fantastic....really can not understand some people who can give the bad review..in the end you get what you pay for...we had huge family room 2 rooms in fact like an apartment because our kids are 18 and 11...and I actually booked standard room but they upgraded us with no extra cost as well. I do not know what else to say but all in all we had amazing time and definitely would go back again.

I was first time in Turkey and liked very much. Hotel is good priced and it is reason why we took this one. Hotel is avarage, dont wait 4 stars in european style. What was main for us, hotel is close to seaside. Sea was nice and some days with waves and we had a lot of fun with it. Rooms are big enough with older furniture. There is AC but works only when you are inside. We had balcony to the road and there were nice view on mountains on the left. What is good after 12pm city becomes calm and you can sleep without noices. All inclusive is as very well. Lots of vegetables, rise, various salads, cakes, fruits etc. No pork :-) But for diet it is excellent... In pool bar you can have Tuborg beer and in cafe next to the side road you can have Efes beer, both good enough. Sea is some 5 min away, really close for anyone. On the beach you can have water or some sweet juices (very sweeeeet). You can rent umbrella and sunbeds but we did not. We prefered to be just next to sea, not 50meters away. So if you are not fan of lying all day on beach, dont rent it. Hotel pool is not extra big but as well enough just what is bad there is no sunbeds enough.Entertaiment is rather poor there around pool. Anyway if you want to have own, get up at 6 or 7 and place your towels there. Entertaiment is rather poor there around pool. Then go back to sleep and later you have them :-) Dont forget to see the city, is very very nice and you can have few hour ride around city and old walls for some 10EUR. It is worth money.
To be short, the hotel is worth money, location is very good- sea is close and on the street lots of shops and pubs. Maybe it is not real 4star hotel but we all liked holidays...
