“nosiest hotel in Oba”
Reviewed June 13, 2014

Looking forward to a relaxing holiday? then don't stay at the Oba Time hotel. They blast out, at ear piercing levels, head banging music all day and late in to the evening. Even an iPod at full volume, with ear phones, can't drown out the incessant noise.
Not to be recommended for families, anyone over 25, or anyone who doesn't appreciate being in a rave party15 hrs. a day, every day !!!

We have stayed at a number of hotels in Alanya and Oba but this is the best by far. It is a 'boutique type' hotel with a more stylish interior. The bedrooms have more room than some we have been in, the ensuites are very modern with a creatively designed shower. All was clean and in good order. Our room faced the pool with an adequate balcony however it was not noisy. Absolutely delightful traditional Turkish food, which means delicious. Everything was clean, the waiters were very attentive without being intrusive. All the staff were friendly and helpful as well as being efficient. As someone else commented the owner was often present at the hotel, eating lunch or dinner alongside all the guests. Everything that other commentators have said is true. Any requests / suggestions made were acted upon very quickly, e.g. I requested the volume of music be turned down during meals to enable us to hear our conversation, this was done immediately what a pleasant change from being told to put up with it. Will definitely be returning to Oba Time.

Room Tip: Rooms 17 or 18 on each floor face the pool.

Hotel was very clean, most of the staff were friendly. The hotel photographer was friendly and helpful, some of the staff could take a leaf from his book. Food was always fresh and hot, however, very repetitive and not a great deal of variety unless you like pickled vegetables! The owner of the hotel was always around inspecting the food, cleanliness and general upkeep of the hotel which is reassuring. The hotel is close to the beach which is lovely although the all inclusive does not stretch to this. The local mosque is very close by and although it isn't a problem during the day, morning prayer starts at 5.30am and woke us up each morning. All in all a great holiday and good value for money.

Room Tip: Stay away from the side rooms as these have no view and are facing the local school.

Me and my husband booked the hotel for 6 nights all inclusive. All the hotel staff i.e. the manager (ibrahim), reception staff, luggage man, waiters, kitchen staff, cleaners are very friendly and always smile. They always greeted us. They always helped whenever needed. The food was also very good. I will definetely come back to this hotel if I come to Turkey again. It is definitely one of the best hotels.

Great little hotel about 5/10 minutes walk from the beach.. no road noise. Couldnt fault the food or service we received. The hotel has been recently upgraded to a lovely standard, cctv cameras on all floors and in the grounds of the hotel, these are monitored all the time, safety not a factor. With the hotel being all inclusive meal times were from eg 12.30 - 2pm, food was amazing so fresh, colourful, the only downside I would say that unfortunately certain nationalities dont know the meaning of queuing or thinking of others, they kept seats by putting on the table about an hour before lunch or evening meals then waited by the doors for the dining are to be open and then took most of the main meal themselves (and also leaving most of it) I would think again about going if you have small children as the meals were not really catered for them. No price list on the bar for after 11pm when all inclusive finishes but drinks range from 10 - 12 lira so watch out on your first purchase. for the first week there were only us 4 English people mostly Dutch, Russian, German or Turkish.. Entertainment good, just watch out as in all Hotels in Turkey certain entertainers have lucky raffle tickets .. which are fixed and they just want you to go to there shop to collect your prize. The waiters, chef, and cleaners all had time for you. The hotel was constantly being cleaned to a very high standard. The rooms were on the generous size and very modern shower room with hairdryer, aircon included in All inclusive safety deposit box is in your room but is payable on arrival. Also if you dont like your room you just need to ask, they are very helpful.. just 5 minutes along the road is a lovely little English Bar called Eden, great just for a drink or a get together to watch sky sport or a meal... The market is just outside the hotel on a monday morning a delight to visit. overall a great little gem. If I had to put a downside on it it would have to be a transfer about 1.5 to 2 hrs from airport we booked a Turkish hire company cheaper than tour companies and not as many drop offs.....

Room Tip: All rooms have air con. all pool View rooms have sun on the balcony everyday. rooms in middle of ho...

My partner and I stayed at Oba Time 29 June for two weeks. Hotel was small, spotless, new, great decor and had free air con. People moan about the food, but we found that apart from a lack of choice, the food was gradually changing and improving during just our time there, other changes were going on e.g. the scratchy loudspeaker that played music too loudly round the pool, was replaced by smaller surround speakers and chilled out sound, which was very welcome! This hotel is run by staff who are friendly to holidaymakers, but from what we saw didn't get much back. The manager also cares very much about listening to people,s suggestions on what we would like to see change. For us it was the fresh bread is nice in the morning but we could do with a toaster. English people usually like butter on the table rather than asking for it etc. It irritates us when people moan that there are no English at the hotel, so what? Learn hello, goodbye and thank you in Turkish for starters and have a laugh with the waiters, and make an effort. This hotel was lovely and changes are always being made to improve. If the food choice expands, and small improvements continue in the way they were when we were there, it should get the consistently high ratings it really deserves.

Room Tip: If you get a `double promo` room, it means a twin. This wasn't clear until we asked your holiday...

My boyfriend and me were on a holiday at the end of July this year and we were settled at Oba Time Hotel. It is brand new hotel, elegant and nicely decorated. We arrived at 2 am at the hotel. We were greeted by man whose job is to help guests with anything during the night. He took our bags to the room and served us the dinner. Next morning we were informed about all the important things ( e.g. where is the hotel beach, what is the procedure for taking safe). All in all, the hotel staff is kind and eager to help 24/7.
Likewise, the food and bar service are excellent. You can drink coffee, juices and domestic spirits for free from 7:30 am till 11 pm. Although many people have objections on food selection ( too much vegetables and not many different kind of meat meals) I think there were something for everyone.
It is importatn to emphasize there is a free WiFi in the hotel.
One more thing I want to mention is that this hotel is quiet and great for couples and families.
