“Clean, Helpful and Enjoyable Stay”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

We booked this deal as a last minuet cheap deal, we took a week all inclusive for the first week in september, the resort itself is nice, we arrived at the hotel at 1am and we had to wait over an hour for our room to be ready, but the night receptionist did get us something to eat and a drink.

The hotel itself was clean, our room was serviced everyday without fail, and the cleaning ladies were fantastic, the english that the staff spoke was very limited, apart from the day receptionist whos english was fantastic, the pool was spotless as was the pool area, the rooms were basic but comfotable, and the air conditioning and TV were free, you had to pay for a safe at reception.

The Food was not bad, we met some other english people there who told us that compared to some other hotels the food here was excellent, there was a barbeque every night, where there were a choice of chicken skewers, beef burgers, grilled fish etc, there was a pasta station where the chef would wok a sauce and have spaghetti or noodles, along with home made thick cut chips, the salad was always fresh and tasty, there were plenty of dishes to choose from, lots of fresh fruit all the time, and plenty of cakes to choose from. Breakfast had cereal, always fresh fried or scrambled eggs cooked infront of you, along with bread jam, cheese, fruit and eggs benedict and meats. The selection of all inclusive alcahol wasn't too bad, you could choose from local whisky, vodka, gin, beer, white and red wine, but it was a bit dissapointing that you couldnt buy a cocktail, the bar was basic and they had nothing to make cocktails with even if you wanted to buy one. The bar staff were not very friendly, and quite pervy to be honest.

Dennis who is the dogs body around there is absolutlet fantastic, he works from 7am until midnight every day and is always smiling, and he does absolutley EVERYTHING. i wanted to take him home, we tipped him £30 before we left.

We saw hind no hare of the rep the whole time we were there, but thankfully the beach owners had good english, beach 17, which is owned by charlie, was fab, the food was fantastic and he would deliver your drinks to your sunbeds, there were water sports, such a jet skiing and banana boating, and paragliding. Safety is not the number priority anywhere so be very careful!

The hotel has beach and sea views from pretty much any room you are in, the hotel is VERY much catered for Germans, Dutch and Swiss people, i kind of got the impression they diddnt like english people very much at all. apart from the day receptionist, and Dennis.
There are problems with germans putting towels on sunbeds on a night, and no matter how early you get up, you can not get one, we spent most of our time at the beach, but there were 2 days when we needed to stay by the pool as one of our party had sun stroke and we had to sit on tables and chairs, even though the people with towels on the beds were not even in the hotel. we asked the receptionist repetadly to help us with this, and after day 3, the night receptionist took all of the towels off the sunbeds so that there were plenty to choose from on a morning.

The music is nothing to be desired, radio swiss pop will play repeatedly, every day, and no matter how many times you ask them to change it, they wont. The hotel next door played chart music, and they did quite well at turning it up to drown out the depressing music our hotel was playing.music went off at about 9pm so that people could sleep. however on our last night we sat down at the bar area with our own alcohol and we were told to be quite and go to our rooms at 11pm even though we were not being loud, so we refused, and stayed there until 2pm.

The tranfer company wasnt great, we paid extra to have a shorter transfer (1hr 30min) But the transfer going to the hotel took 3 hours as the driver diddnt know where he was going.
The transfer on the way back from the hotel took a total of 4 hours and 20 minuets, some people on the front of the coach arrived at the airport 15 minuets before thier flight left so I am not sure whether they got on the plane or not. 4 sets of people from different hotels diddnt get picked up for the transfer as the driver couldnt find them! you need to make sure you call your transfer 24 hours before to get your pick up time, as our flight was at 11pm and they picked us up at 5.20pm which was a good job, otherwise we would of missed our flight.

Over all, we have said we would go back to the hotel, if we could get a cheap deal, as cleanliness is the most important part to me, and the location of it is good. you couldnt go hungry even if you are a fussy eater which i am! I wouldnt go every year like some people, but we would deffo give it another go if we went back to the same part of turkey!

Enjoy your stay! make of it what you will! dont let other guests get to you! spend most of your time on kleopatra beach, its beautiful!

This hotel, for a last minute cheap deal, was actually quite good. Reading the reviews before we went here, I was a little apprehensive about this hotel however it was an enjoyable stay.

The hotel is very close to the beach, our room overlooked the sea and you could see the castle on the hilltop from our room (the pictures we took of the sunset and the hilltop silhouette were amazing!!). The room itself was huge, much larger than what we were expecting however the shower was a bit small and there was no bath. The location of hotel was ok, buses ran regularly into the town however do not expect an empty bus, it was always crowded with A LOT of people on board. The staff are very helpful, the guy at reception could not do enough for us and always wanted to practice his English with us although his English was already pretty good. The pool was reasonable, always clean and never crowded, we never struggled for a table beside the pool however sometimes we couldn't get a sunbed which wasn't really an issue for us. The bar was ok, limited choice of drinks but still nice. The food was good although it wasn't really aimed at the English, probably more German but there was always plenty to choose from and the desserts were lovely!

Alanya seemed to be more popular with Scandinavian, German, Dutch and Russians, at the hotel we only met 2 other English couples. However from what we saw, the majority of people spoke English, sometimes only basic but enough for what you need and many spoke various other European languages. Don't expect to find many English tv channels, I think we only found 2 including the news but hey, you don't come on holiday to watch tv all day!

So if you are looking for a resort that only really caters for English then avoid here but if it does not bother you and you aren't the sort of person that wants a full English breakfast every morning then I recommend coming here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would seriously consider coming back and staying at Monart Luna Playa.

Room Tip: Definitely try and get a room facing the sea, lovely views. However this is also the side overlookin...

this was mine and my partners first time to this part of turkey it didn't get off to the best of starts with a2b transfers not knowing where the hotel was and taking as long to find it as the flight from England next morning woke up to beautiful sunshine and refreshed the room was on the 2nd floor and was very adequate a double bed a single bed wardrobe and chester draws with mirror the bathroom had a toilet a shower cubicle and wash basin down stairs breakfast was all laid buffet style catering more for Europeans than brits but there was enough of everything out side you could even get fried eggs omelettes cooked to order just before midday the rep made himself known offering different types of excursions and trips we booked the Turkish sauna and massage and a day on the pirate boat with him about 6 hrs of saunas steam room and 3 massages for 20 pound stirling and all day about 6hrs again on the boat all drinks and lunch 25 pound stirling we missed lunch on the 1st day because of the massage but dinner was served buffet style again varied dishes of continental food as much as you could manage and the waiters didn't frown if you left food on your plate so you could try all different types of food this was the theme for all the meals eat and try what you wanted as well as a bbq every night all the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to try and be helpful praticeing their English at every opportunity this is a budget hotel but I felt that it underpriced itself we were made to feel very welcome by the main receptionist banu a very pleasant and helpful woman who explained that this part of turkey catered mainly for germans dutch and swedes but was grateful for british tourists so that the staff could learn more English I would recommend this part of turkey to anyone wanting a quieter holiday and would definitely recommend the monart luna playa to any and every one

Room Tip: some rooms are small we were lucky if your not happy let reception know and they most probably chang...

First time we had took our 2 small kids abroad , we went in a part of 5 adults and 3 kids , arrived at the hotel about 4 in the morning .. Kids were buzzing hotel wasn't much to right home about! On the first morning went down for breakfast which was cold cauliflower and chips and the rest of the splodge I couldn't put a name to , my wee boy was straight in the pool (which wasn't that big ) laughing splashing as little ones do, there wasn't many people round the pool and sun loungers were really next to the pool , the hotel staff were not friendly at all ,over the next couple of days more people arrived who were all German and from then on our holiday was a nightmare to the fact that we were scared! The Germans spat at my kids tried to assault my kids when I complained nothing happened, asked for a rep to be called , but had to end up calling via our mobiles adding cost to our holiday! When kids were in pool they got spat at for splashing and shouted at verbally ( the beach was across the road) where the could all have went and read there books!) when complained the staff got ver angry and lashed out at us (very scary) I phoned my tour operator to see what we could do , finally a rep came to see us ( not that he did anything for us) eventually we had the choice to move along the road at a cost, 2 days before coming home ! So we decided to stick it out , an all inclusive holiday we booked took us way over our spending as we had to eat out as the food was disgusting! My little boy and girl survived on water melon , all I can say is if your British DON'T GO NEAR !!! As your not welcome and they will make that clear to you, for a family holiday that we all looked forward to was a nightmare from hell , came home with no memories at all of our kids first holiday , in my opinion the hotel should be closed down or something is going to happen to a holiday maker by the staff , fair to say I would probably felt safer in Afghanistan in a tent that's how bad it was ..... Can I just add alanya was a lovely place only spoiled by the hotel.

We arrived at the My Luna Player at around 1.15am. We were welcomed by staff and shown to our room. Which was big and very spacious with everything that we needed. Rooms are very clean and cleaned every day by friendly staff. We found the food amazing for what we paid for, with a variety of meats, rice and pasta dishes and several barbecues throughout the two weeks we were there. There was entertainment every 5 days which was fun and enjoyable, Belly Dancing and musicians (not everyone cup of tea) but they made it fun and it is what you make it, so if you decide to get up and dance then you will have a great time! The beach was only across the road and we were not charged for sunbeds the whole time we were there, maybe because we booked a couple of boat trips through the people on the beach but hey ho the trips were only around £6 each and well worth the money. The day we left we were not due to leave the hotel until 10pm but the manager gave us another room and still gave us access to all inclusive until we left. Staff don't have very good English but were always smiling and willing to try and help with anything needed. Would defiantly go back as have no complaints about this hotel in general. The only disadvantage of this hotel would be that there is not much entertainment and not much for children but Alanya is only a bus ride away! People expect far too much for a 3 star hotel in Turkey...... If you want luxury then go to a 5 start hotel and pay 5 times the prices but if you want quiet, cheap, basic but good and friendly then My Luna Player is the place!!!

Room Tip: Choose a sea veiw.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week at the end of April 2011. We paid in total 450 for the holiday including flights... so just expected a cheap and cheerful last minute holiday. We arrived around 6pm at night and were greeted by a friendly receptionist, who then asked a member of staff to show us to our room. After having a nosey around, we had dinner... buffet style with a range of foods. There was always at least two meat dishes... pasta... chips.. loads of veg... a wide range of salads and breads, soups and a variety of desserts. Although most of the food had a Turkish style, they still supplied a range of good European dishes. There were two bars, serving soft drinks, tea and coffee, Effes beer, red and white wine and a range of spirits. Both were open until 11pm every night. There was also the option to purchase a bottle of wine at a discounted price after the bar closed to take to your room. Staff were always very friendly. Although their English was limited, they still made an effort to speak to you. We had a standard double room with sea view balcony. The room was cleaned daily and fresh sheets and towels were supplied daily also. The room was spacious enough with air conditioning, tv, a double wardrobe, dressing table, hairdryer, and furniture on the balcony. The beach was just across the road. The part directly across from the hotel was ok, but the beach was better if you walked up 5 or 10 mins towards the center of Alanya... there were more loungers and beach bars in this area. On the last day of our holiday, we thought we had to check out by 12pm... after taking all our luggage down, the manager was at reception and asked us when our flight was... it wasn't until 1am the next morning. Realising this was a while away, he gave us our room key back and said we could use all the facilities until we left. This saved us a lot of money as we had our food and drink all day again until leaving. Our transfer (nothing to do with the hotel) was supposed to come at 8pm that night, but didn't show up. The manager could see we were stressing out about this and offered to call them and find out what was happening. They had forgotten to pick us up and he sorted it out for us, ensuring we would make our flight. He then sat with us until it showed up, and wished us a safe trip home. After leaving the hotel and on the plane, I realised I had forgotten my purse. When we arrived back in the UK, I had an email from the manager explaining the maid had found my purse and he arranged for it to be sent over to the UK to us. This arrived safely to us with everything inside. Overall, we thouroughly enjoyed our stay at My Luna Playa, and would definitely stay again. We got more than we expected for our money and staff are polite and friendly!
