“AVOID THAT HOSTEL!!! Factual review!!!”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

Our hotel choice was based ONLY on “trip advisors” good reviews of that hotel. When we arrived we have realized instantly that flattering words we have read are inaccurate and over exaggerated:
1) We have booked and paid for a double room with double bed. We have received instead a room with two single beds across the road in very noisy building and we couldn’t really even take a rest properly.
2) The bathroom was very dirty and the drains were smelly
3) The air-con didn’t work properly
4) Instead of towels we have received 4 bathmats
5) Incompetence and insolence of the hotel manager was infinite. When we kindly asked for a room change to the other building (the actual hotel from the main trip advisor picture) we have heard and I quote: “Hotel is fully booked, deal with it! In our hotel double bed is only a request.” At that stage I have decided not to mention that the sea view was “requested” as well…. ;-). On the plus side all waiting staff was very friendly, cheerful and always happy to help.
6) Food was really disappointing especially breakfasts. Lunches and dinners are about average.
All-inclusive package is an EPIC FAIL:
- budget alcohols (not pleasant experience)
- white and red wines from the dispenser (red is ok but for some reason it’s served colder than the white one)
- drinks served in a plastic cups
7) There are 2 (“very good”) reviews of that hotel which seem to be fake as I have read them before I have booked my holiday in September. Exactly the same ones appeared in October as well! Someone in trying very hard to mislead others.
We were aware that our expectation has to be accurate to a 3* hotel but that was an absolute joke! Let the pictures speak for themself. I wouldn’t give a 1 star out of 10. We normally don’t write bad reviews we would like to warn others to not make the same mistake.
Alanya is very nice but if you want to relax and properly enjoy your holiday avoid that place! The only positive thing that happens to us there was the fact that we have met a brilliant couple from other hotel guests and we have had a good laugh together!

Room Tip: Just avoid that place if you you are planning relaxing holiday.

We stayed here from the 28th September for a week, after reading the reviews before booking I thought the hotel sounded fairly pleasant with the budget we had to spend on a holiday.

Once arriving at the hotel after a 3 hour transfer the hotel looked OK we were greeted by a member of staff.
Once we had checked in we were then told we had to spend the night in a room as there were no free rooms! We were then taken up 2 flights of stainless steel stairs past the 5th floor where i must say I don't think I would let an animal sleep in, the air con didn't work the door didn't lock from the inside and all in all the beds were so uncomfortable.

After the first night we then checked into our room for the week, the room was clean and spacious however the air con every morning would leak out water so we would then have to turn it off! The cleaners seemed friendly however we did not have our sheets on the bed or towels changed ALL week, it was only when I asked for clean towels we were given some!
And it's pointless putting your DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door as they still just walk in as they did 3 times on 3 separate occasions! Also all through the night all you could hear was the lift going up and down and at around 5 am every morning the cleaning shouting at each other right outside the room!

As for the food and drink- the food was basic and bland same thing every night we found ourselves eating out most days to avoid having to eat the food! which was at a cost!

The bar shut at 11 pm every night even if you had been waiting ten mins for a drink the staff didn't care, i'm guessing because we were English!

Alanya is a lovely place and I had a great time! BUT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!!!

We arrived at the hotel at 1:15am to be greeted by two young boys on reception who couldnt speak a word of english, they started stairing at the computer screen and then eachother instantly i knew something was up....NO ROOM!!!

So we got taken over to what can be described as a hostal. I was mortified as we walked over no lights so you cant realy see were your going, had to climb 3 flights of stairs with our suit cases, room was clean but basic no hangers or safety box.

The next day we went to see the manager ERAN who was useless to be told that we would have to stay over there another night wich we were not happy about.

One side of the pool doesnt get any sun at all so got be up by 7 if you want some sun. food gets boaring after the forth time of having chicken and rice but is quite nice so you didnt really have to eat out.

Some staff are really happy to help and have a chat but the beware the tall man on the bar he is rude, ignorant and very miserable and definatly put a dampener on our holiday!

This hotel caters mostly for eastern europeans and not so much for british tourists. If your british you got no chance being served drinks past eleven oclock but if your german of russian you got no problem.

We had a lovely time in alanya but that was only because of the people we met. This experince has completly put me off going to turkey again so i can 100% say i will NEVER be returning to this hotel!!!!

If I was to describe hell it would be Millennium Park Hotel.

Before booking our holiday to Turkey we looked at this hotel on a few websites and read the reviews on Trip Advisor and seen how good it was so we booked it. I went with my sister and her friend and my nephew. When we got there at 4am we got taken to our room. It looked nice and clean, good value for the money we paid.
Room.
The toilet and was leaking all aver the floor, we told the maid but nothing was done about it all holiday. We were given a key for the room door, which was also the key/ fob for the electric which had to be bashed into the wall to get the electricity on, otherwise it would cut out. The bed linen was changed twice in the two weeks we were there and our towels were rarely changed despite us leaving them in the shower as directed. The maids just folded them up and put them back on our beds.
The view we got from our room was really nice as you could see the mountains.
Service and food.
The service in this hotel is a joke!!! There were a few nice waiters (sorry I don’t know there name’s)
We got our food from the restaurant, and then had to take it through the hotel lobby and into the dining area where the waiters came and took our drinks order, 20 minutes after we ordered we finally got our drinks, and this was every night. The reason for this the waiters were too busy flirting with girl guests instead of serving. One night one of the waiters asked our friend if she would meet him at 10pm and said he had Viagra (he was only in his 20’s) which none of us found amusing or acceptable at all. She was further insulted later in the week by the same waiter and embarrassed by his innuendoes. We felt we were being laughed at by the waiters, all the time we were having our meal. We did not deserve this treatment as we were not rude to them.
The food was just edible, there was nothing really suitable for children and my young nephew ate nothing and the dishes were very repetitive. We had to ask what the food was most nights, but this could be a gamble too as one night I was told the dish was beef and my sister was told chicken so they either didn’t know or they couldn’t understand??
Entertainment.
All a can say what entertainment??? The guy that ran it was a great bloke we had a good laugh with him, but we were there for two weeks and we got ‘Miss Hotel’ 3 times, ‘Mr Hotel’ 3 times, bingo twice and we had one Turkish night which was good because they had dancers on. One night he got a guitar out and I thought we were going to get live music…….until he asked the guests if anyone played guitar, when no one did that was it for the entertainment for the night.

One night we met other guest in the hotel and we got talking at about 11 o’clock just when the free bar closed. We decided to go to the shop to get some beers and continue our night. At 12.30am the hotel manager told us we were being too loud. We could not understand why he said this as we were not drunk or shouting or causing a nuisance, we were just talking. But the manager insisted we were in a residential area and when we asked he said he could not offer us an alternative place to sit and continue our night. The next thing we knew the police came and directed the manager to move us to the pool bar (which is the main bar) which we happily did so we could stay and talk. Just as we got settled, we were told by the manager we had to either go to the beach or go to bed……. It is a good few years since I was told to go to bed especially on my HOLIDAYS.
I have stayed in lower rating/star hotels than this in the past, but what they lacked in pleasing presentation they made up for in friendly staff, nice service, comfortable beds and appropriate bathroom facilities. I found the Millennium Park Hotel to be more like Fawlty Towers.

All I can say is DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!

we arrived at millenium park hotel after a 3 hour coach journey from antalya airport after the driver got lost trying to find other hotels on the way through i suggest that these drivers invest in a sat nav as nearly every person we spoke to at the hotel had the same problem,we eventually arrived at 1.30am and was given a nice room 101 with good aircon which was free and had a pool view,
we went to sleep and the following morning we went downstairs for breakfast which was very disapointing, COLD boiled eggs, bread with no butter or no toaster, salad and a few cereals,
which we did not eat so we waited until lunch hopeing that would be better but to our dissapointment it
was not much better just lots of rice chicken and turkey in gravy but could'nt be sure as nothing was labelled the evening dinner is pretty much the same as lunch so we started to eat out alot, the pool was very small and the sunbeds were almost on top of each other due to lack of space i dont know why they bother putting sunbeds out as most of the day its in the shade, its very hard to get served at the bar for drinks as theres only one barman working who seems very anti british and when we did finally get served it was only half a glass full, the entertainment was dyer just getting people up from there seats to take part in stupid games
like they did in the 1960's,when the bar closed at 11pm on the dot it was lights out and if we wanted to get another drink we could pay for it and then take it to our rooms as we wernt allowed to drink around the bar or the police will be called which they were on one occasion we were made to feel like children though we were in our forties,if it wern't for the people that we made friends with here it would most definatly been our worst holiday ever i would not recomend this hotel to anyone especially the british as they only seem to have time for the germans, dutch, and eastern europeans.

Not what the brochure depicted. You would be hard pressed to compare the pictures with reality.
The pool is very small and no way big enough to cater for 3 x 5 floor hotel blocks. The sun loungers were dirty and if you weren't up before 7, they were taken. The pool only got a few hours of sun in any particular corner, so if you wanted a day by the pool, you found yourself having to move with the sun, or going elsewhere like we did.

If you are planning on going all inclusive, don't plan on variety. The food is very repetitive. I hope you like chicken, rice and salad. Also out of 7 days, Egg on bread beat pancakes 6 to 1 for breakfast. With regards drinks don't expect a pint of anything, or a FULL half pint come to that. If you are having evening drinks, it's lights out at 11 or its off to the beach for you. You seriously risk the police being involved otherwise.

With regards the staff. A mixed bunch really. Some were pleasant, some not. Some seemed very narky, but they do put in the hours i guess and you could see it on their faces. There was gossip of rudeness but i never really saw it.

The first half of my stay (due to over booking) was spent in a run down block of rooms across the road of from the main complex. Spacious and air-conned but basic (and it doesn't appear in any brochure). When moved into the complex, i must say our room was lovely, good views, spacious, clean and air-conned.

All in all the hotel wasn't upto much. It didn't represent what we saw in the brochure or online. I liked Alanya and the holiday was really good, but only because of the people i met whilst there and not because of the hotel.

I wouldn't return
