Spent 10 days here at the end of July. Well what can i say apart from donot contemplate staying here if you are English. The hotel is very predominately German which had we known beforehand we would not of entertained staying here let alone spend out the money it cost. The easiest way i think i can write this reveiw would be to give you the Pro's and Cons so here goes-
Pros- rooms cleaned daily and the maid was polite.
Cons- German hotel, barely any information in English.
Food awful- best diet ive ever been on and i am by no means a fussy eater.
Tiny pool and not enough sunbeds.
Bar staff and waiters too young with no manners and a lack of experience.
Everything on site shut at 12o'clock with no warning.
No entertainment as such and the animation team was not much better.
Dont bother booking the Alanya trip unless you are German as noone speaks any English. The boat trip out for the day was good though and this was the first time we enjoyed our meal without paying for it. Worth a mention though is the Que Sara restaurant and bar adjoined to the hotel. Food is well cooked and presented nicely. Thanks go to Eddie, George and Jack they at times were the only enjoyable part of our holiday. This was my 5th trip to Turkey but my first to Alanya. Safe to say we will not be returning to this part of which is a beautiful country. Oh lastly if you go to the beach be warned the sand is boiling hot and the breaker waves knock you off your feet, also the Euro is the main accepted form of payment along with the turkish Lira here.

I am not a fusy people but I thing this is one of my worst choise ! I choose this hotel because of price and some good reviews from some travel sites. I staied some times at 3 star hotels, but none of them was so bad. I thing that one star is too much for Acar!!!! We arrive at 23, 30 and we have a room so small that I can not breath! The shower was so smal that you can stay only 1 minute there and the water is not warm after 24. Next day, we change into an apartament which is ok, in the new building. We staied one week, and the apartament was never cleaned up- only change the towels and get the gurbidge. The towels were so old and dirty that it was an adventure to use it!Never cleaned up the room or the balcony in this week!
The all inclusive board was a big joke- the food was so bad and you dont have any choise to dishes! We have some frozen meet and some nugets, and one time we have doner kebab. At breakfast only some eggs and some cheese, some tomatos and if there is there is something left you will meet at dinner!!! The restaurant was like my kitchen sise and it was so hot there that the dishes are compromise-sometimes they smelt bad! The pool was so small that if 10 people are in, there is no more space there! The pool bar is so small and it have only plastis juice and beer! Dont thing at coctails, alcoolic drinks or something else! At 11,30 they turn of the lights and get down the tables! It was an nightmare! The staff was total unprofesinist and dirty ! The pool area are cleaned in time we eat and everywhere was tigaretes and dirt!
Dont go there, you will get head trouble! I dont want to remember ever this hotel!!!

Room Tip: ask for an apartament

I travelled to the acar hotel on 04/08/2013 at 11.30 pm for a two week holiday with my wife and two children,14 and 8.on arrival we were given a family room 115 overlooking the main street, not very big but suitable for our family. air con worked fine and we thought a great holiday was starting. on our first first full day we were greeted with ear blasting Turkish music from the pool bar from 10am-to 12pm no let up whatsoever. on that first night we were in a group of 12 people around the pool drinking and having a laugh when one of our group went to the bar for drinks and was refused. the reason given was to many glasses on our table. THIS IS AN ALL INCLUSIVE HOTEL. the next morning I spoke to the manager amed to ask why our company were refused service as we have paid up front for food and drink and his reply was, i know your all inclusive but your drinking to much. the conversation was over as he walked away. over the next few days this manager kept an eye on our table from a short distance, we were refused drinks on another two occasions. i read reviews before we booked this hotel and dismissed all the bad ones, i have never had a bad experience on holiday and believe its what you make it that counts. all the hotel staff could do with costomer care training, starting with management. the rooms were kept clean. the pool was 5.5 feet to 9 feet deep, wifi was very poor. the food was repeated every day,not suitable for kids, lots of chicken bits, wings, legs thighs and the odd breast, rice chips pasta never plain always with something mixed in.you wont starve but you will eat out more than a few times for a change...not good .the hotel is situated in a very good place close to everything. BUT I WOULD NEVER GO BACK. this hotel don't seam to like English irish scot or welsh guests, as other English guests were refused drinks also.IT WAS LIKE IM A CELIBRITY GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!

Room Tip: the white two bedroom apartments at rear are the best option, better equipped and quiter

me my boyfriend and family just got back from the Acar hotel Alanya turkey. The food was terrible they was nothing to eat for children. even the chips were horrible because they was just reheated the next day if they was some left. If you like bread and egg for breakfast than that's fine they was not even a toaster. What was left at breakfast it was reheated and than put out for dinner and than what was not eaten at dinner it was reheated for tea it was horrible. The drinks was very good! although the staff there was horrible they had no manners at all they took your plate away from you when you was not finished with it they was all teenagers!. they did not like English people in that hotel! they was not many English people in the hotel. The other people what was not English did not like English people in the hotel either they gave you dirty looks. The pool was very small and only fitted a few people in it and they was only about 10 sunbeds and they would get up in the middle of the night and put there towel on so that no one else would be able to get a sun bed. the room was small but was cleaned daily but when they had moped the floor it left a horrible smell which we had to leave the room for a bit and leave the door open they could do with a new mop or change the water! only good thing about this hotel was the bar what was attached onto the hotel they was very polite and you got 20% off the bill if you was from the Acar hotel we spent most of our time in this bar! The private beach was nice but had to pay extra for sunbeds and umbrellas if you was to go in the sea you would come out with cuts every where as it was very rocky. over all the hotel was very bad and would not recommend anyone who is English to go to the Acer hotel or anyone with kids!

Room Tip: don't bother going to this hotel

i would not consider using the acar again, but the place once the new airport is built i would definatly go back to.unfortunatly the acar is a no frills hotel and is pretty basic.when we eventually arrivedafter a 3 hour transfer we were given a tiny ,i mean tiny room.we were moved next day without any problems, but to somewhere not much bigger and across from a block the acar partly own directly across the balcony into a hoarders appartment where on a daily basis ,she squirrelled away new rubbish and changed its position.i was taken aback at the towels! well rather rags we were given i wouldnt dry my car with something as grey and ragged as those were.the bed sheet looked more like one of my mums old tablecloths than a crisp white sheet what i would have expected.on the whole the hotel was very clean.i cannot say otherwise.the faults were as people have already mentioned .the photo of the pool i saw must have been super imposed as in reality it was more akin to a foot bath! the sea is also rough and very dangerous.my husband saved a woman from drowning on the third day .there are no lifeguards, but there are strong undercurrents.its great fun at first to jump the waves but its the ones you dont see underneath your feet that are the danger!.also it is extreemly rocky and slippery.take beach shoes.the sunbeds are one euro each as is an umberella.nothing is all inclusive once you leave the hotel.the hotel share the beach they all do,so what is onsale there is not part of your all inclusive.the food on offer later in the evening 11.30 is soup! far too hot for soup or more fluid ppl expect chips or burger type things.breakfast is salad ,lots of it there are boiled eggs and luncheon meat and chicken roll, but there is also cold sprouts or broccolli from the evening before which isnt not recommended for breakfast.lets say nothing goes to waste its reused or disguised in a concoction for another time.chicken is the staple food of the holiday ,if your lucky enough to get a few pieces of it.there are no theme nights its the same most days ,but passable, there is no need to starve, there is always something to be had from it,unless you are "really " fussy and if thats the case then dont consider going there.there are no english channels on tv ,if you arnt well or for any reason want to watch tv on holiday then learn turkish before you go.it is more of a family hotel than anything else, lots of kiddies and little entertainment .it wasnt as friendly as we were told .also beware of the uneven floor levels one lady ended up in a wheelchair for the rest of her holiday after falling over with her plate where the doors divide from outside.top tip keep hold of your plate if you leave food on but leave the table as it will be whipped away,by one of the teenage waiters.well no!not waiters as it isnt waiter service .its get your own .the centre is well worth a full day out in the shopping is great once you leave the tourist shops,no hassle may i add they leave you alone which is bliss, unlike anywhere iv been before say im just looking and they walk away .the shower and aircon is a godsend.on the whole its a value for money hotel depending on what you pay for it of course we paid £460 pp for one week as an example .it ought to have been less for what we got but it was june/july and most of that went on transfer, luggage allowance and flights ,i doubt the hotel gets much of that figure.a holiday is always about what you make it if you dont allow it to spoil it and a room is about a bed to sleep in and shower in .the rest is up to you .dont go with big expectations then you wont be dissapointed .

Room Tip: only 3 have a sea view on the front road there isnt much difference in any i was told some family ro...

Me and my partner have just got back. From the airport to the hotel it took us 4hours on the way to the hotel we stopped off in the middle of no where to go to a service station which was over priced!
Once we arrived to the hotel we was given a room which was very small. Asked to be moved the next day and was give a bigger room!
Hotel room had free aircon which worked very well, bedding was ripped and had stains on, fridge in hotel was very dirty and wasn't cold!
Food: if you are a fussy eater then you won't like the food, more for Germans given the same food everyday which most of the time was left overs!
Drinks were very good.
Swimming pool very small and cold, be ware of the children's pool and everyday the waiter dropped cups on the floor in the pool and around the pool!
Waiters very rude and young there was a girl who worked there who was lovely very professional! But staff need proper customer service training as this is what they lacked in! Not a place to take children to as no entertainment, play are very dated, a lot of people getting very drunk and also lots of smokers! Hotel was overall clean!
Area where hotel is based has local shops, not a lot of English people around this area. Went on a boat trip which was a waste of money was told we will get to do certain things which never happened!
Hotel was very safe to leave items in the room left iPhones and documents and money which never got touched! Cleaners were amazing very friendly did a good job!
Overall wouldn't go back to the hotel again or the area

my wife the two grandchildren (6 and 11)and I have just got back from the Acar hotel Alanya Turkey. the food was ok if you like chicken then is was brilliant as it was severed everyday. what you don't eat for breakfast is served to you at dinner if you don't eat it at dinner then you get it for tea. Our room was a good size for the four of us and keep clean but it was the noise that killed it for us. the generator was attached to our bathroom wall and came on every 15 minutes for 5 minutes so loud that we never slept for the 7 nights we were there. This was no biggie as the club across the street played loud music all night long, one night till 6.30am. The pool is so small the 6 people fill it and the park for the children to play in has 1 rusty old swing and a very small slide and thats it for the kids nothing else for them to do. the aqua park 2miles away is to be left well alone their was a broken wrist 2 broken arms and a broken neck in the 7 days we were there hate to think how many in one season. If you like to shop then your at the right hotel as your right in the town centre with lots of shops and markets all over the place but don't take the kids. all in all if the wife and I had gone alone it would have been fine but the kids only have the small pool to play in for the whole holiday

Room Tip: eat across the street the food is cheap and wonderful, stay of the beach the sand is in reality smal...
