my wife and i stayed at this hotel from 27th feb-till 13th march, what a brilliant hotel, the staff are led by the manager mr HAMED BEN AICHA,and his second in command mr EL AMRI FAYCEL both of whom are not afraid to do their bit for the hotel, they can be seen walking around the hotel asking if everything is ok with your accommodation, and if u need anything,i even witnessed mr Hamed putting the all/inc bands on the hotel guests himself!! the whole staff from the gardeners and maids, will smile and ask u if u are enjoying ur stay, and if u will return, the bar staff are all very attentive,mr mohamed,mr salem are only a couple of names from the bar,u will get to know them very well, the food is excellent, always something to eat for the fussy eater,i know cause my wife is a very fussy eater and loved the food, the entertainment,we felt could have been a little better, more outside entertainment, rather than using the animation staff, who do a great job getting the people motivated, they are Dora,Mamadou, and Spider, there are more but i cant think of their names at present, please if u are being looked after by these wonderful people, shake their hand and tell them so!also if u can afford it give them a tip, every few drinks u get from them, yes these people are very hard working, there is a heated indoor pool my wife and i both used it,also a jacuzzi that is 30deg the room was fine for us,with a larger than usual amount of coat hangers, the room was cleaned every day with fresh towels provided,oh on arrival u will be given a form to fill in,one half will be kept by the hotel, the other half u must keep for the airport,i had asked for and recieved a low floor, the hotel encourages u to e-mail them any special requirements, and though the cant promise, they will do their best to full-fill ur requirements, there are a few shops outside, but please be aware if u are buying jewelery as all that glitters is not gold as the saying goes,i bought all mine from the shops in the hotel. i noted from an earlier comment that people were rushed to bed when the bar closed, nothing could be farther from the truth,as my wife and i sat on after the main lights from the bar were switched off most nights, without a problem,if u are quiet there isnt a problem, finaly i would like to thank mr ben-aicha and mr faycel for a wonderful holiday!!! will i be back? you can be sure of that,as soon as i can!!!
.

just got back from 11 days at the bellevue park, had a great time, everyone is so friendly.the maid cleaned our room everyday and made a very good job of it, the management were always walking around and approachable and always stopped to ask if you needed anything or there were any problems. the food was very good and even if you were a fussy eater you could always find something to eat. the waiters were very good, bar staff could remember what drinks you had and as soon as you were at the pool or beach the staff were there getting the matress for your bed and pool towels.the walk into port el kantaoui is really nice along the beach. will definatley be going back to this hotel

We stayed at this hotel for one week in February for my 60th Birthday, we just wanted a nice quiet break. The Hotel is lovely, the staff can't do enough for you and they do not look for tips all the time. You get the same service whether you tip or not.
Our bedroom was lovely quite big and kept spotless by the maid. We were on the shady side of the hotel but that did not bother us because while the sun is out in February you are outside on the sunbeds.
The food was fabulous, so much choice even the most fussy eater could find something to eat. Although I did not want any fuss on my birthday, the maid decorated our room with flower petals and made 2 swans on the bed, it was lovely. In the restaurant in the evening the waiters had dressed the table up and lit a candle in the middle of the table as soon as we arrived and after our main meal all the waiters and chefs and some reception staff came to the table with a lovely chocolate cake with candles on for me and sang happy birthday to me and then got the rest of the guests in the restaurant to sing it as well !! It was such a lovely evening.
The staff on reception were so well organised when we arrived although there were only 2 of them on duty we were all booked in and shown to our rooms within minutes, the duty manager gave us all an overview of the hotel as well. During our stay the managers could always be seen in and around the hotel asking if everything was ok and were only too happy to listen to anything you had to say either good or bad, needless to say we had nothing bad to say it is a truly wonderful hotel. Once the bar staff know what you drink as soon as they see you approaching they get your drinks ready for you, this makes the service so much more personal and they take a pride in their job.
Our Thomson rep, Gemma gave us some really good information at the welcome meeting for when we were out and about and I have to say everything she said was absolutely right, Thank you Gemma you are a credit to Thomsons.
Finally, the transport to and from the airport in Tunisia was really good, the only drawback was having only one queue for all destinations to the UK which seemed to take forever to book in. Even going through Passport control at Enfidha airport on the way home was very efficient, the man who checked my passport even wished me happy birthday for the day before. How nice was that ! We will certainly go back to Tunisia again but probably a little later in the year when the weather is a bit warmer as it can be a bit hit and miss during February. All in all we had a truly wonderful week.

Room Tip: Choose a higher room, most rooms have a sea view.

We have just come back from staying at the belle vue for 1 week and I can honestly say it was the best hotel and service ever. The staff their were amazing and really genuinely couldn't do enough for you. They welcome feedback continually about your stay and of you are not happy with anything at all they will fix it for you. No sooner have you checked in than your bags appear at your room. Offered extra pillows and called within five mins to see if our room was ok for us.
I can recommend a trip to the spa, I had a half an hour body massage and have had them in uk and this was definitely the best I have ever had.
So much food to choose from and you are not rushed out of the dinning room, the Tunisian themed evening food was especially nice.
The weather was not the best but no one can do anything about that. Port el kantauoi is quiet at this time of year so I would not recommend going out in the evening their after dark as their really isn't much to do, but if you get a cab into spouses their are more bars and restaurants open their.
Their are plenty of organised trips to go on which you can arrange with your rep once you arrive or through your travel agent before you go.
Evening entertainment is about an hour a night but it is out of season and to be fair most hotels don't offer any entertainment at all until the season starts so you can't really grumble at that, take a packet of cards, make some friends and enjoy the banter with the staff and the riu entertainment team who are very lively and good at getting you involved.
So all in all I would recommend this holiday at this time of year if you want a wonderful hotel stay with possibly a few trips and lots of relaxing if you are looking for something livelier then its probably not going to be for you.

Room Tip: Rooms on the right hand side of the hotel get the most sun

Bellevue Park Hotel.

Where to start, 3 weeks in February. Sunny but cold wind most days. Hotel Room a little sparse very cleaned every day room service excellent. Reception staff top class first time we have ever been given a briefing by the hotel duty manager on arrival with drinks. Food, Chef’s and Waiters top class. Menu mixed Tunisian and European every day theme days with lots of choice. The hotel in its general areas were very clean and waiters available all day and evening for drinks and local advice. Animation Team made the holiday for me. The Team Mamado, Dora, Spider and Ema encouraged activity every day and produced a live show every day. Pool staff on hand at all times to provide chairs and towels.
Three things to be aware of The Thompson rep when asked did not promote the Hotel as having Football on TV and advised to go to an Irish Bar in Port El Kantaoui . When in fact they have Sky and a drop down screen also Aljazeera Sports. The rep did not advise to keep money exchange receipts as at the Airport they will not exchange Tunisian Dinar without. Although the Hotel has no smoking areas the Tunisian and European guests ignore the signs . All considered a great holiday !!!

Room Tip: South Side for Morning Sun

Arriving at the hotel after a long delay we were greated by a friendly smile, drink and told a snack was available for us in the restaurant. The first impressions of the hotel were the large and relaxing lounge area, which was divided into smoking / non smoking areas. Our room was comfortable and facing the swimming pool. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and management team, who were always available. The staff were all friendly especially Mohammid, at the bar who remembered your drink and could serve four people at once. The hotel was spotless and the staff worked hard to ensure your stay was enjoyable. The indoor pool was heated and a restful area. The standard of food was good and you could obtain pancakes and cakes in the afternoon.

The only drawbacks were that the hotel was a forty minute walk to the harbour and the entertainment was of a poor quality.

Whilst in the hotel we had a fantastic time but regret we would not return for the following reasons.

As soon as you left the hotel the locals were out to swindle you and were just after your money. Beware if a local talks to you and asks to help you, especially if they try and get in a taxi with you. They pretent to be of assistance but just want to take you to their brothers shop. We were conned, which as I am usually cereful would not have thought possible. Always carry small denominations of dinar with you as taxi drivers will say they have no change and ENSURE you agree a price before entering a taxi. For your help here are a few price guides. A taxi to the harbour should be no more than 5 dinar and Sousse 8 dinar. You can use the *Louage * local eight seater white minibuses which run between major towns. The prices for this are 1 dinar each to the harbour and 2 to Sousse. We caught a connecting louage to El Jem for 4 dinar. The best value was a train from Sousse to Monastir which charged 1 dinar.

The country is very poor but is not helping itself. I did not mind tipping but did object to being fleeced.

Everything first class from top to bottom. Management on the "shop floor" all the time. Food excellent (too much) Entertainment not always my cup of tea but the entertainers worked very hard and very talented. Will go again particularly at this time of year Feb/March, cool mornings and evenings.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking pools on left get morning sun.
