The resort has too few sun beds, so unless you are up at 6 am to reserve them, or you pay the lifeguards to reserve for you forget having a sun lounger, beach is very small and very crowded too. The rooms are ok, but despite booking for four we only ever got either 2 or 3 towels, despite asking some days 6 times a day for more. Toilet rolls constantly run out, as do soap dispensers, so strongly recommend you carry toilet paper and wipes for hands. The glasses in rooms weren't cleaned in 2 weeks either. Personally think there 4 star rating is seriously misguided.
Food is monotonous, and serious issues with flies everywhere too, particularly the pool bar.
Only positives were we had great rep Marina(Thomas cook) who finally intervened and got our room swapped for one with working air con after 2 days, reception staff are awful, and unhelpful with exception of Wissam khdraoui who was not only pleasant was only one who ever sorted anything. The waiters in restaurant Karim and Yosri made the whole experience so much more bearable as despite the mediocre, repetitive food they were a real pleasure. Also couldn't fault entertainment team they were great, whether you wanted to participate or just chill, although Sonia does love the sound of her own voice and perhaps needs to realise you only need announce things once in each language as opposed to over and over again. We also had a wonderful view over a waste land full of rubbish, so suggest you request sea or pool view as a must too.

Room Tip: Definitely sea or pool view, and carry toilet rolls and wipes everywhere as you will need them

Just returned from a great 10 days at the Rosa Beach. After battling to get through customs, which took an hour and a half, the 10 of us aged between 14 – 48 were greeted with fruit cocktails and cold flannels which was much appreciated. We were then allocated our 4 rooms and given instruction on how to get there and the facilities that were still all open. We found our rooms that were very clean with a modern decor that over looked the pool. (Rooms 2125, 2129, 2135, 2137). Large restaurant with large choice of good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a tip to our very nice waiter on the first night meant we had a table for 10 reserved ready for us every day. The pool and beach area were lovely with loads of activities running all day if you wanted to participate (They are not pushy) these were provided by the fantastic, very hardworking entertainment team who made our stay very memorable. The evening entertainment was mainly provided by the in-house entertainment team outside in the theatre area which was good especially their dancing. One of the only problems we found with this hotel was getting a sun bed, saw people out at 4.45am putting towels out ready for the morning as there were not enough beds for everyone, there was also a shortage of parasols which I think added to the urgency of getting the best spot! The only other downfall of the hotel although it was not a problem was the bar, there was not a great choice of drinks compared to other all inclusive resorts that we have been to and the staff, although lovely, seemed to favour the men when it came to serving alcoholic drinks as they seemed a little reluctant to serve the women and this often meant a smaller plastic cup in comparison to the men’s nice large glasses. All in all, we had a brilliant stay at the Sentido Rosa Beach and would return in the future.

Room Tip: Our rooms 2125, 2129, 2135, 2137 were very clean with a modern decor and over looked the pool, very...

Currently here on holiday and its fantastic, staff excellent, food great, entertainment if you want it, very nice clean comfy rooms, beach great, don't want to leave. Plenty to keep you active or not, can highly recommend a back massage well worth the 20 dinars. Loads of water based activities, jet ski, paragliding, water skiing, inflatables and our favourite the inflatable sofa an adrenaline filled skim over the waves!!

Room Tip: Travelling with kids, book adjoining rooms, spacious and if like ours, a fantastic sea view at no ex...

We spend 19 nights here. The rooms were very clean and modern. The food was ok for Tunesian standards. Although the hotel was very crowdy. 800 a 900 people...
The swimming-pool is to small for this amount off people. Accomodation around the pool and in the garden was very nice. We had a very good service at the pool bar during the day!!!!
Those guys work realy hard to give you an optimum service, with a smile.
Thanks to Buba, he knows how to manage them.
Only the animation in the evening until midnight is to loud... The music is to loud , so if you want to have an early sleep , please bring your eardops with you... This is a reason , that maybe next year we wont return...

Upon reading reviews I was very apprehensive about travelling to the hotel. As a travel agent I'm normally pretty easy going when it comes to our holidays but I even thought about changing it. However, our thoughts were deterred as soon as we got to the hotel & we VERY HAPPY that we hadn't changed to another accommodation.

The hotel has a very modern feel to it & most areas are pristine! The cleaners are always cleaning so noone can complain that they do not try their absolute best at keeping the hotel in a clean state.

The rooms were lovely! Very modern decor. Very sizeable that you could probably swing a donkey in it! My only pain was that the pillows were in a bit of a poor state. Rather than it being a full pillow it felt like it was really bobbly inside so I ended up using cushions off the sofa. My other qualm was that the air con got turned on half way through our holiday (15th June). I can't complain as it does state this in the brochure but it is VERY hot in Tunisia in June and I think they should turn it on earlier. You find people kept their patio/balcony doors open on a night to keep the air circulating which from a safety aspect isn't great! From the balcony we had a partial sea view which was lovely on an evening to sit & watch the sunset.

The food at the hotel was superb! So much fresh & vast choices. I personally preferred the lunch time offerings. The tunisian rice & pasta dishes were delicious. There was always something even for the fussiest eaters & for those Brits who expect British food in a foreign country?! The deserts were always plentiful. Our favourite being the chocolate ones. We did not try the a la carte restaraunts, but by all accounts they were not great & service was slow. The staff work extra hard & a small tip will go a long way, so you will never have an empty glass. Drinks were always available round the pool as well. One of the waiters was fab to us! People even asked us "if we had to pay for our cocktails" because he always did fancy things with our drinks. We just made sure we tipped them as a Tunisian wage is not a lot & they rely heavily on tips.

The pool area was always clean! We always managed to get a sunbed as well, much to other people criticisms. The pool was clean. The animation team are the life & souls of this hotel. They keep everyone entertained, they make such an effort with you even if you don't get involved! They remember your name & chat to you! My partner played volleyball everyday & I joined in with water aerobics etc. they don't pressurise you to join in so you can have a relaxing holiday if that's what you've come for. I do hope that they keep looking after this team as they are great. The entertainment is largely by the animation team which wasn't too flash? In earlier months they hold it in the conference room which doesn't set a good atmosphere. It would have been much better had they sorted the outdoors auditorium out sooner & it taken place there. The best night was the live music on the terrace! It was a lovely atmosphere. Everyone was dancing & enjoying themselves.

We didn't really have much to do with the rep, Marina but when we did speak to her she was pleasant & helpful. If you are wanting to change money to Tunisian dinar go early afternoon as they always seem to be waiting for a delivery in the morning. Whatever you do download Skype before you go on holiday and use the wifi in the lobby to contact your friends & family as they rip you off. They supposedly "time" you off the clock on their personal phones. On our 2nd phone call we were a bit dubious how they accounted for the time so we set our stop watch on our phones. We totted up just under two minutes. They wanted to charge us for 5 or 6 minutes resulting in much more than expected. So eventually when they realised they weren't fooling us (after showing them our time!) they only charged us for our ACTUAL length of call.

The length of the transfer should & could have been quicker had we not dropped off at about 6 or 7 other hotels! Next year they are flying into the old airport so it will be about five minutes transfer.

Overall we had a fantastic, relaxing & fun break and met some lovely people! Ignore the reviews that state there are "prostitutes" operating at the hotel, that there is poo in the sea, that its dirty, that the staff are rubbish BECAUSE you will find that this hotel is a little gem! You can't please everyone but I know I'm glad we came to this hotel!

My friend and I travelled early June and stayed 14 nights. The weather was amazing although we had 2 quite windy days at the beginning, it only got better ( and hotter) as the days went by. Hotel was lovely, very clean and all the staff were exceptionally hard working. Nothing was too much trouble from housekeeping to waiters and chefs.

The animations team deserve a special mention as they were brilliant, they work LONG hours but always have a smile for you, they are not in the slightest bit pushy when it comes to taking part in the organised activities and are still happy to spend 5-10 minutes chatting. A special mention has to go to Pedro for his aqua aerobics sessions the man has boundless energy.

The restaurant was lovely, a wide variety of food to suit all tastes even the fussy eaters like myself. the staff in the restaurant work really long hours, the pizza chef was there for start of lunch service and was still there at 2am the next morning !! The waiters too work exceptionally hard, small tips help but the majority of them were falling over themselves to be helpful and pleasant just because they could. We tried all 3 a la carte restaurants and I will be honest and say that the Tunisian night was horrendous but I am an EXCEPTIONALLY fussy eater so please don't be put off by me, the international nights was brilliant not a crumb left on either of our plates.

The watersport's on the beach were varied but their health and safety left a lot to be desired so maybe wouldn't let kids be taking part, we had a bad experience with the paragliding and didn't really take part in anything after that which was a shame because they all looked great fun.

I wouldn't change a lot of money at one time as the hotel has a near constant supply of Tunisian dinar and with the exchange rate being so good £20 lasted both of us for about 3 or 4 days unless we were taking part in watersports or trips into the surrounding areas. on that note I should point out that we found the hotel quite secluded but we did go to Monastir which was beautiful, but take a taxi as it took us nearly 2 hours to walk there. We also visited Skanes but found this quite scary and wouldn't recommend it. We were there for 14 nights and found it quite long but think this was just because of the secludedness, if you are looking for somewhere for a poolside or beach holiday then this is definitely the place for you.

The rooms were immaculate although the bathrooms could be doing with some upgrading.

Definitely looking at returning in September 2013 and possibly again for 10 nights next summer.

On a final note if you have ANY problems please seek the help of the Thomas cook rep Marina, she was exceptionally helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and she again works really long hours.

Had a great relaxing week at the Rosa Beach. Modern facilities compared to some hotels in Tunisia - the best thing about this place is the staff and how they look after you - the guys at the pool bar were great - thanks again. the worst thing is the flies at the restaurant - the hotel seriously needs to get this under control - not difficult - get some fly zappers switched on during the day.

The hotel rooms are spacious and clean as is the communal areas around the pool. Beach is clean and accessed easily straight off the grounds - plenty sunbeds - just the pool and beach guys are reserving them for people as other people here have commented on. they are easily spotted - they are the sunbeds usually with a parasol reserved from early on with dirty scabby old towel spread out over the pair off sunbeds - just throw them off that sorts the problem out !!

Hotel would also benefit from clocks around the place - there is not one clock anywhere to be seen - I know time doesn't matter when you are on holiday but it would be handy to see the time now and again.

One other moan - the hotel lobby male toilets absolutely stink all the time.

Although there are a few negatives it is a really good hotel, just a bit out of the way but there are plenty cheap taxis outside the gates.

Entertainment team never stop - what an energy these guys have - well impressed with there efforts and ability to keep going during Ramadan.

If you take you holiday here- you will enjoy it, just have an open mind about Tunisia and their culture - there is a lot to see and do but it is a different way of life to ours on many things.

Room Tip: away from the entertainment amphitheatre or you will get no sleep
