Eden Club Skanes
Ranked #18 of 43 Hotels in Monastir
Reviewed April 13, 2013

We visited the hotel for one week on 04/04/13 as a party of 10 celebrating my parents retirement. We were welcomed at the hotel with an Eden club cocktail and lots of friendly staff. We did have an initial problem that our four bed family room only had three beds! The staff were very helpful and this was soon sorted. The room was basic but lovely and very clean. We were the only party in the hotel apart from another family of 4 so service was very personal!
The animators were really friendly and did there best to get the children involved especially Sam who organised activities for our family every afternoon. All restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Our rep was useless and we had to find information out ourselves and wouldnt recommend booking trips through reps as far more expensive. We booked our trips from the man on site by the pool and he was really helpful and gave a more competitive price for all the trips. We went on the pirate ship, camels and quad biking all i would recommend although camel riding is very uncomfortable! Quad biking was all of our favourites and the children loved it! The pirate ship was great fun and the crew were very entertaining!
Top tips of the holiday - dont shop at the hotel shop a 5 minute walk to the left of the hotel entrance is a shopping centre thats half the price of the on site shop and a lot more choice! Use the beach facilities as the boats, kayaks, pedalos are all free but they do not advertise the fact!

Me 25 my partner 24 and our little boy 2 went in the first week.of october...on arrival at the hotel we had to fill in some forms as this was two.in the morning with an asleep 2 yr old perhaps they could have waited until the morning so be prepared for that....the hotel was.very clean with.lots of entertainment for children an the food was good....the waterpark is brilliant and i.cant fault the bae staff.... There are no snacks so take your own or visit the nearby shopping centre... Overall we had a good holiday until the last day when my shorts were stolen out of my half packed case which was obv the maid so lock everythin away all the time other than that little incident great.

We were on a budget so went through Lowcostholidays.com we were supposed to be staying at the Saadia hotel which closed early. So we were moved to Eden club which after reading some of the reviews on here we were slightly concerned about but not as much as we had been when we were staying at the Saadia. Transfer from Tunis airport took approx 3 hours and when we finally arrived at the hotel (in the early hours of Sunday morning) we were met by a very friendly and helpful male receptionist who when looking through our confirmation said that he did not have a room available that was the same as what we had been allocated at the saadia but he showed us to a room where we could get some sleep and to pop back to reception after midday. (this was mainly to do with low cost holidays not the hotel) So when we got into our room for the night we were greeted with 2 single beds pushed together and a set of children's bunk-beds for a party of 4 adults !! Not the best sleeping solution but again not Eden clubs fault. We went to reception at midday and spoke to very friendly receptionist called Aida she sorted it all out for us and the housekeeper took us to a new room and asked if this would be ok the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us. The room was sufficient for what we needed always had fresh towels and room was cleaned daily. The main hotel reception was lovely the pool was nice and clean gardens very well kept. The food was very repetitive my 19 year old niece lived on pizza and chips but we always found something to eat not the best selection of alcohol but we didn't go for a boozy holiday so not a major problem. Lots of flys about everywhere at some points in the week. The animation team were absolutely amazing we had such a laugh with them especially Omar , Momo and Manga the people who were selling the excursions were very pushy especially on the first day. The shop in the hotel is very expensive but if you walk out of the hotel turn left and walk approx 200yds you will come to the fallo shopping centre 3 storeys of food, gifts ,jewellery, bags etc all priced up and nobody bothers you. There are a few little shops next door which are very nice and a lovely cafe that is reasonably priced (nice lattes) then a bit further on up the road is safari shopping centre which is slightly more expensive but again all priced up and nobody bothers you. Around the back of the safari is Ali's bar where the food is slightly more English with free wifi. I would say over all it was a cheap and cheerful holiday not many English but some of the other nationalities were very pleasant and some VERY rude !!! If your on a budget give it a try.

Room Tip: Ask for a family room as you get more room.

just got back from a week all inclusive , ok arrivel not the best , but could also be due to transfer delays , as on arrival directions to room was ' straight ahead ' ok it was 12.45am , but reception during the day was always very helpful and polite , room always kept clean and tidy , bed and bath towels changed or made daily . breakfast a bit of the same each day , but lunch and evening meal had a wide range of food choices available , plus all meals they have the grill providing fresh food , staff very friendly , yes there is quite a diverse amount of peolpe from various countries present but everyone made to feel welcome , seems ideal for both couple and families as the Animation team provided various entertainment for all tastes , upto you if want to join in or go to another area , both pool area , bar , reception seemed to be contantly kept clean by the staff.
WARNING : salesman , the best way to describe them, first morning 5 minutes after breakfast we get approached for a free trip to Sousse to see carpet making and leather , all it is is a hard sell shop ,
Although half day trip on pirate ship good value but remember to haggle we paid £25 a head others paid more
TIP; hotel will change most currencies if not all into Tunisian Dinar at current rate ( which is shown at reception)

Room Tip: all rooms a very like for like , compact , depending on group size

The public spaces in this hotel are really lovely, pool kept spotless, right on the beachfront (the sea's pretty vile but that's hardly the hotel's fault), main lobby looks recently done out and gardens are nice. The food is lovely, a couple of Tunisian dishes and a selection of stews, rice, chips etc. The bars were fine, it's the only all-inclusive cheap break I've ever taken where the wine was actually pretty good. The bus stops right outside the door and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The water park was great for kids, there is everything from a super-warm indoor pool to 4-story grown up water slides, so if you want to chill by the pool it's a great resort. Yes, most of the guests were non-Brits but really, I don't understand why this is bad. Everyone speaks English in any case, if you're stuck.

The downside is the bedrooms, which are small and in desperate need of an overhaul (bathroom filthy, aircon not working, everything slightly damp from the humidity). I think they would have moved us if we'd made a point of it but honestly, how much time do you spend in the room? We would have liked a decent sized balcony (ours just about fit one chair) so that when baby was sleeping we could play cards and have a glass of wine - but we were ground floor so we just sat next to the comedy balcony.

For what we paid, i.e. peanuts, this was a very good hotel, but given that about fifty quid a week extra would have put us in a 5-star resort that's what we'll do next time.

Room Tip: If you don't like your room, tell them. They will change it if they can

We had really good time in this hotel. Eden club is nice, clean hotel with great location between Monastir and Sousse. Near of the hotel is bus stop, so you can travel to the cities for 1 dinar. Some rooms are just so small and dark, but it s no problem to ask for better room on the reception. Only thing what we didnt like it was really small offer of alcoholic drinks.
