The hotel itself was amazing. It may have been away from the town centres and shops however everything was just a short taxi ride away. Hotel has a lot going on to keep you busy and entertained. Staff were friendly and animation team were very funny. The weather at that time of year was just right. Will definitely be going back.

For one, we had to wait over an hour for our transfer to get everyone together and then it took roughly 2 hours to get to the hotel from Tunis.. (we were told it would take an hour). The hotel is lovely, but the rooms are not.

We asked for a sea view and got an alleyway view basically, showerhead fell off, the drains are blocked so you get a rancid smell in the bathroom, beds are rock hard etc.

The room was cleaned everyday though. The food is pretty repatative, rice, pasta, meat, bread, soup. The bar is all inclusive until 11 at night.. don't expect anything apart from lager and what we thought was vodka and probably wasn't.

Some people are very rude within Tunisia we found. Most of the hotel staff were helpful but we gave up if we had a problem in the end because it wasn't getting solved. DONT expect much from Tunis airport, flight was delayed for 2 and a half hours for an unknown problem and they were just plain rude about it.

The beaches are lovely as is the pool, the hotel itself was actually really nice and if it was in a different country I think we'd probably have liked it a lot more. The country isn't welcoming.

The only thing I will give 5 stars is the animation team that do the entertainment! They were absolute stars, so funny and constantly up for a laugh, they do all sorts of actvities, water polo, gym, darts and shows at night! If you're looking for a cheap holiday thats basic with the food and the rooms then heres your place!

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for a sea view room!

Just got back from this hotel 10/10/2012 went with my partner. Before goin to this hotel we had been looking at the reviews and was worried because of all the bad reviews but decided to stay with this hotel anyway. we arrived at enfidha airport 20mins early got our luggage and went to our bus after waiting 2hours for them to fill the bus with people that hadnt booked transport we was on our way the bus driver didnt no where half the hotels were and we eventually arrived at skanes serail at 5.30 in the morning wen we arrived ther was another couple and 2 girls that arrived with us we went into reception and the guy was askin if 4 of us were together we said no and with that he told us 2 of us had a choice of goin to the sister hotel (would have to pay for transport to get back to serail we later found this out) or share a room with a couple we had only just met. we decided we would share with the other couple it was only for a couple of hours. we eventually got our rooms at 11.30am and was perfect and we made good friends with the couple we had to share with so good outcome of that. we actually telephoned lowcost up and complained nearly changed hotels but we decided to give it a couple of days to see if it got better. we recieved a phone call later on and lowcost refunded us £43 for the trouble and after that we recieved a bottle of rose a bottle of water and a bowl of fruit from the hotel and the receptionist was very apologetic. now on to the good stuff after all that the holiday actually got better we dont no what all the fuss was about obviously if your a fussy eater dont go here but the food was great yeah i lived on rice chicken turkey potatos and bread but i can honestly say i ate well back in england i have 1 meal a day here at serail i was having 3 decent sized meals a day + pudding most evenings me and my partner loved it the hotel was stunning the view from our balcony was great the staff was great especially the entertainment staff one actually took a shine to my partner both makin jokes about each other and constantly havin a laugh. yes the alcohol was watered down but i didnt go to get drunk every night and yes there was alot of europeans there and not many english but we later found out that skanes and monastir was once actually a french colony and we actually spoke to most of them if your just goin to relax like me and my partner wanted then yes this hotel is great there was stuff to do that the entertainment staff provided throughout the day there was shows at night time and disco after the shows. all in all me and my partner had a great time and would recommend this hotel fab fab time if you book this hotel dont always go by the reviews its what you make it peoples tastes and views are completely different to your own and thats exactly wot me and my partner did and it turned out great

Room Tip: recommend havin a room away from the disco if you dont like loud music

We have just returned from a week at this hotel. We arrived at two in the morning but the hotel looked lovely on our arrival. We were given a room which was awful.. Two single beds put together and no balcony, just a small window. However we went down to reception first thing and for 10 Dinar per night upgraded to a sea view room which was much bigger and had a king size bed, very nice although the only English channels available was the BBC world news channel which was not ideal, but we did not go to watch TV! The room was clean and cleaning lady knocked every day and asked what we required.
The food. At first I was not worried about it as it was plentiful and same choice every day. However it was clearly not aimed at English people and by the end of the week I was sick of it. It was very repetitive and the meat dishes ect were poor grade meats and all tasted the same. Every morning we would also find that one dish or another was recycled as something else! . That said it was edible and fed us for the week. There's is also plenty of salad and fresh fruit to go at. The waiters In the dining area were very helpful and friendly as were the reception staff.,
The bar staff were often rude, and the drinks are watered down and tasteless. I had a straight vodka and it was more water than vodka! .. The beer was cold however!
I would recommend you speak to the loveholiday asked at the hotel who organises trips as he is brill! We went quad biking and on a pirate ship which were excellent value for money and a lot of fun... There is also a guy who will take you into Sousse as a free excursion.. Yes we had to visit the carpet factory but afterwards he took us around the medina and his presence kept away the street vendors.. Well worth the 20 dinar tip for him.
The pool is large and clean, and the beach is great with enough sunbeds and plenty of water activities on offer.
If you do not wish to mix with other nationalities of people don't go here. We were very much in the minority as English people and the hotel is widely known in the area as catering for eastern Europeans and German tourists. We had no problems but did find many of the other guests ignorant and rude, but I guess that is a different culture to ours.
The area has nothing for tourists. You will need to get yourselves to Monisitir or Sousse and remember that although very liberal, this is an Islamic country so don't expect a thriving night scene!
All in all it was ok. I won't rush back to this hotel, but all in all we had a lovely time. Big thanks also to the animation team worked tirelessly and were fantastic.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view and pay the extra!
