We have ben here in 2001, probably things are changed meanwhile.
Good hotel with big room and good service.
Beach is close and quite, the weather in august was very wet.
We did not like the food that much , too repetitive.

Whole hotel, and the staff was terrible. I was there with my friend only, and it was not possible to move without any notes of the men / animators, or staff in the restaurant. It was very uncomfortable for us!!!! Especially the pool lifeguard...
I never come back!!! NEVER!!
Sea and the beach was very nice...this holiday was ruined by the men harrassment....

Room Tip: give them a money, and you will have a nice room!!!

The hotel offers many activities for everyone. I love it. There is the best animation team. I enjoy every day here.(gymnastic, aquagymnastic, beach volleyball, latina dance, water polo and the best show time at night) Thanks everyone in the hotel for amazing 7 days here. The food was delicious. The sandy beach was beautiful and the sea was clean ... The most visitors are Italian, Russian, Polish and Czech like me :) I think is the good hotel for families with children.
I RECOMMEND THE HOTEL TO EVERYONE WHO WANT TO ENJOY A LOT OF FUNNY!!!!

This is an excellent hotel for families.

The food was very good and of adequate variety within one week. The staff at all levels were extremely friendly and helpful. There is entertainment for children and parents alike throughout the day at the poolside, on the well-managed lawns and on the beautiful beach. Nightly entertainment is varied and fun. The pools are well maintained and all bars and the restaurant are well manned.

I cannot understand why more British people do not use this hotel (we were the only British people there). Most the clientelle are Italian (via Alpitour), Russian and Polish. It is great for FAMILIES with kids from about 4 to 17.

I recommend it to anyone with a family.

Room Tip: It appeared that all rooms have a sea view. Ground floor is obviously best.

I was sold this package holiday by an Italian agent operating on behalf of ALPITOUR.
As I was travelling alone with my 9 years old daughter, I specifically asked for a hotel with a kids activities/basic entertainment.
As we got there, I was told by a scornful "representative" of the tour operator that "kids shouldn't disturbe" and if I wanted that kind of service I should go to another hotel. It was a total nightmare, the place was CROWDED at the beginning of June and we had all sorts of lying insects in the room at night. It's not the hotel I blame for though but the

Indoor pool without door, not less than 5 minutes to get hot water, food is terrible, electricity and water shut down at the same time. I asked to speak to the manager, they told that manager is not available. The elevator is similar to the ones in scary movies. Bed uncomfortable, pillows Luke rocks. Safe box in room is chargeable and they charge full night for check out at 3 pm

This was our first holiday in Tunisia. We were already prepared for the cultural differences, but that is why we chose our holiday there , and not Europe.

The hotel is in the touristic area of Mahdia, along with several others hotels, and lies directly on the beach. We really liked the experience in the hotel. Although we made some field trips, we would feel fine to stay just in the hotel. The room we had was very simple, but honestly i didnt feel i need anything more. The beds are very spacious and the sleep is very good on them. Every day the housekeeping makes the beds, changes towels, leaves cosmetics(which was very good) , and they even made a special decoration on the beds(swans from towels, rose leaves etc). All in all, the cleaning of the room, and the whole hotel was spotless.
The hotel offers the all-inclusive formula for meals, which means very generous breakfast time from 7-10. then some pastry and cakes are left in the lobby like a snack with coffee from 10-11. Lunch starts at 12:30 till 14. Then there is the afternoon snack which had some sandwitches, cakes, and pancakes with coffee or tea. The main dinner is from 18:30-21.
The food was quite good. What i especially liked was couple of things : there was always so much fresh vegetables and salads. Then on every meal the chefs were making food in front of you : egg omelets , grilled sausages and pancakes at breakfast, at lunch or dinner there was pizza, grilled meat and fish etc. And one other thing i liked, is that they always changed the menu, there was never the same food at lunch and dinner(and even if it was, there was so much choice of meals, it wouldn't be a problem). All in all, the food was great and nothing to complain.
The drinks served at the bars are not really the adequate quality as the food, the drinks are suposed to be coke fanta sprite but they are some cheaper imitation. so we drank mostly water :) also the alcohol, it just felt like there was water added in the spirits. Although i really liked the beer at the restaurant, it wasnt the same one served at the bar. The wines were quite ok. Also i can say they served good coffee :)
The services at the hotel are very good. We could do for free water sports(windsurfing etc), play tennis, use the indoor and outside pool. The animators of the hotel are the best at entertaining! Starting with some morning gymnastic and streching with Smiley, then playing bocha or table-tennis, aqua-gym in the pool, water polo and many other sports or activities, its never boring with these guys. I must once more greet Majdi and Smiley, and Roki and the other guys(i dont remember all their names , sorry :). Also in the night they tried to make entertainment in the lobby area at the bar, then every night they made a show downstairs at the theater stage etc. Big big plus for the entertainer team!!
Also the staff at the restaurants/bar was very friendly and pleasant, amazingly these guys could speak French, Engish, German or Rusian. Very friendly and always smiling, and the receptionists, they helped us about several issues, like arranging rent a car etc.
Also the hotel offers their own spa, massages, hammam, fitness etc. Of course these services are extra and paid, but they were also top quality.
I really liked some other features - the afternoon bar which offered shisha(water-pipe) smoking - quite cheap. the hotel exchanges currency with no commission. The only down thing was not offering free internet( it was 5 dinar for 1 hour, or you could buy a pass-code for whole week for cheaper). Also the Tv in the room didnt have any channels, although i didnt need it, it would be nice to have it work, since it is there :)
the hotel has own beach, with own sunbeds and umbrellas, which was cleaned daily, although the wind was bringing a lot of sea weed on the shore, they tried to make it clean from the morning. Another thing - the sand on the beach and in the sea is spotless, pure white sand, no stones, plants or anything(except what the sea brought, but this was cleaned)..

As for the holiday, we went to see Mahdia(5 dinar taxi ride - really cheap and not worth experimenting). There are many conman on the streets or even at the beach, trying to sell you any rubbish you dont need. OR even worse , pretending they work in your hotel and trying to take you for a tour, or to a friends shop... Fortunatelly, we just smiled and said we dont need anything, dont be alarmed, the locals are still friendly and wont do any harm, just it is nececery to repeat couple of times that you dont need their services/products.
Ask about the camel riding tour which is near by. There are also pirate boats, motorcars driving and other interesting tours/activities. One day we went to the capital, tunis, although i think one day is very little(3 hours driving to there, then another hour looking for the center, parking). so we had little time to see much - we saw the old medina, the shops and bazar, then we went to Sidi bou said - a picturesque little town with beautiful streets and sea view. Very nice.
All in all, we had an interesting holiday. Definitely Tunisia is worth to do once in life. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a family holiday, spa , sports and activities, its really for everyone.
