This was the third time I have eaten here and taxi drivers named it when I asked about good restaurants around the Movenpick Hotel where I was staying. Though the bill came out at DT 70 per head inc wine, £30 would be a lot of money to the average Tunisian. So on Saturday 16 June I would judge most other customers were European, Last year, when tourist numbers were down, majority of customers were wealthy locals.
I had golden red mullet (a sort of whitebait), followed by lightly seared tuna. Both were delicious though the tuna could have arrived rather hotter. The Magon Vieux wine was excellent. Service was attentive. A very enjoyable evening. It is short walk back across the sandy beach to the movenpick, though rather longer by road with a climb up and down a hill as well
