“Two Excellent courses”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

La foret is the most challenging. In excellent condition with superb greens. Suits golfers in the 1-15 handicap range.
The other course is much easier as most holes wide open so you can get away with aberrant drives!!

“2 funny golf courses”
Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

If you are going to play both courses (les oliviers and la foret)' start with les oliviers. It willi be a good practice for harder la foret.
Les oliviers features plan front nine and hilly and narrow back nine.
La foret requires accuracy on tee shots, most of holes present fairway surrounded by full forest with no rough.
Other OKs: staff, caddies competence, facilities

“Winter golf holiday without any regrets”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

On impulse we booked to go Tunisia after reading in one of the golf monthly magazines that Citrus Golf is the best in Tunisia. We played Le Foret 2x, Les Oliviers 3x, Executive course 2x and once at Jasmine which is just over the road. We never had a day of rest because we want to make the most of the good weather. I was a bit daunted after reading the reviews when people posted their comments that Le Foret is hard, hilly and tight. It's no more hillier than the typical golf courses around West Yorkshire (if you are familiar with the courses in this area). We decided that we will carry our bag (11 clubs, water proof gear, drinks and snacks) rather than pull/push trolleys because carrying is far less strenuous when playing on hilly terrain. Looking at the stroke saver (5 tnd) I thought there'll be some good water hazards but they were actually dry beds so a little bit disappointed (except on the 18th).The sand bunkers are huge but shallow; very manageable even for beginners. Some with sand and some compacted. The fairways are patchy but not too bad and the rough very playable. The greens although not in top condition still runs true and fast. Your one ball is likely to survive the 18 holes (if you can get it across the 18th from the tee). Les Oliviers front 9 is very flat, relaxing and a bit repetitive but the fun bit is from the 10th (my favourite) and the par 3 11th. I found Les Olivier's back 9 to be thrilling than La Foret. For fun, (and don't underestimate the greens' undulations on this par 3 course) make sure you play the Executive before or after playing 18 holes. We found it better and the courses quieter to tee off after 11:30. But if you like playing on busy hours there are course marshals patrolling the course making sure that groups are playing on reasonable pace. There is a cart going around selling hot and cold drinks. A locker is provided free and you can leave your golf gear until the last day of your holiday. Toilets and shower cubicles are kept to very good standard of cleanliness even the toilet rolls provided are of good quality. Very reliable Shuttles to and from hotels like Sindbad, Phenicia, Aziza and other partner hotels are provided free. Drop off and pick up is every hour on the hour. I booked our tee times directly to Citrus but paid our green fees at the hotel reception because they give 30% reduction. E-mail Moez Helali, the Club Manager for your personal requirements. He is brilliant and very helpful. I found all the staff at Citrus are very nice and friendly, I couldn't fault them. I cannot comment the same for Yasmine (although I liked that course very much, more challenging than Citrus) it seem the staff there, especially the woman at the reception desk, she's like battle ax, grumpy and miserable. I tried to give £2 coin tip to the locker room woman and she rejected it. She wanted bank note!!!

And here is something I found out that I don't really want to mention. They allow visitors without handicap and is obviously reflected by the number of shots they do, like 8 shots on par 3 holes!!! But we've all been there in the pasts as beginners so patience and understanding is needed. Don't get stressed. Just enjoy the views around and the good weather.

We enjoyed ourselves and we'll definitely come back.

“good club”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

recently played 3 rounds here, 1 on the forest course, 2 on the oliviers course. Both courses are very well constructed with the forest course more challenging but i did enjoy the oliviers course just as much. Both courses are in good condition with the greens being excellent with subtle breaks and quite diffulcult to judge pace. There are practice areas and driving ranges and the staff were excellent with access to hire trolleys and golf carts which were reasonable at around £20. I bought three green fees through my hotel which gave me a reduced fee and a shuttle to the course. V easy. A slight warning however that the club can get very busy, so be prepared to be flexible with start times and perhaps start on the 10th.
