From the first moment of arrival we felt at home. Within the first few minutes as we were checking in , seated on a comfy sofa, enjoying a cooling drink, we were introduced to many members of staff and management. Leyla was lovely, she was so thorough in explaining everything to us, regarding restaurants and where everything was.A credit to the front desk.
This was our second visit to a Club Magic, they really have the formula right here.
Nothing is too much trouble.
The food was excellent, Magico buffet has a great choice of well prepared and presented food. Different themes each night, and a lot of trouble taken to dress the restaurant according to the theme of the evening. The executive chef very much in view at every meal.
The A la Carte restaurants were excellent, Lovely atmosphere and live music . A real treat to be waited upon and all part of the all inclusive package.
Each night the Assistant Manager Aymon, would visit each table in each restaurant to wish you an enjoyable meal. He was everywhere, on the beach, in the restaurants , at the entertainment shows.
The entertainment team were terrific and so friendly. Not a bit pushy to involve you in any sports or activities but there was always a good attendance for anything. Volleyball and football tournaments, tennis lessons, boules.
We didn't visit the gym or take part in the workouts , but they always looked to be well attended.
Every night there was live music in the Captains Bar, and all the Entertainment team would invite you to dance, so any singles were all well catered for .
Ivo is to be commended for the wonderful team here. All the dancers are terrific, and a pleasure to watch.
We danced every night, we love to dance and the music was a good mix for most people to enjoy.
One week was a pool party, the following week was a beach party, all very good, and snacks available also to keep you fuelled. We didn't visit the disco, but it always looked as though it would be busy, judging by the mass of guests going in that direction.
The beach was lovely and clean, the security guard was very attentive and would always find two loungers for you and bring cushions. Beach vendors were not allowed to approach guests, and so it made for a tranquil time. He was very watchful and only guests were allowed onto the property . We felt very safe.
The watersports were very well attended , waterskiing and banana boats included along with kayaks and windsurfing and catamarans. A good team here, and all very safe.
The room was kept beautifully clean by Sihem, our housemaid . Absolutely spotless. We had a view of the trees at the side of the hotel. It was lovely and cool and we had to turn off the Air-con occasionally at night as it was too cool . I slept here better than I have for years , even at home.
The Magic Angels in Guest services were all Magic, Mieke, Jacqueline and Hedi.
We didn't leave the hotel, except for walks along the beach. We just go on holiday to enjoy each others company and all that the hotel has to offer.
We were sorry to leave, but we will be back.

This hotel was fantastic! From the moment we got out of our taxi at the entrance we were mesmerized. I have never been anywhere where everyday, we are gobsmacked at the high standard and beautiful hotel.

I literally have no complaints...except leaving!

The staff are so fantastic and friendly (Especially Hamda and Samir in the restaurants), there are 2 pools, an louder pool with a bar where you can splash about and a relax pool which is very quite and chilled.

This holiday can be as relaxed or active as you like. I did Tai-Chi every morning with a crazy chinse guy who looked like he had stepped out of Karate Kid!
We actually picked this hotel for its watersports though, never have we visited anywhere that offers the range that MagicLife does, for free. Windsurfing, lasers, Catamarans, Waterski-ing, wakeboarding and banana boats. I must have looked like I was on holiday alone as I could not get my fiance out of the water!
The water by the way is so crystal clear, they have won awards for their strip of beach as it is so clean.

I felt so save at this hotel, there are security everywhere, even when you try to buy something on the beach a guard stands with you to make sure you are safe!

Food...all food is amazing! We ate and ate and ate. The cakes are out of this world! The cocktails are pretty good too. Ooh, and the paninis on the beach!

The rooms are fantastic too. I read somewhere that the rooms air con was poor...hell no.... our room was like walking into a freezer, lovely!! It was about 37-40 degrees every day so well worth it!

Anyway, this is definately worth every penny. We are returning for honeymoon it was that good.

Ideal for adults though rather than kids as there is no much for children!

This holiday was amazing!
I was slightly worried about this holiday because we have a shy 16 year old daughter, had booked for the teen club (among other considerations), and had recieved a letter from Thomson to say the club was no longer running.
There were so many young people there, the hotel opened up the clubs again. Daughter went to the teen club which unfortunately was too young for her. We mentioned this to one of the hotel 'Angels' who immediately introduced her to a group of English and German teenagers the same age. She had a fantastic holiday!

All the staff are cheerful, helpful, and make the effort to learn your names, remember favourite drinks etc. Any minor problem is taken seriously and resolved immediately.
My daughter was unlucky to be a lure to mosquitos, (no-one else in the hotel had bites like hers), one of the staff noticed, took us to the resident nurse, gave her some cream, no charge.
All areas are spotlessly clean and well maintained. In our room, the sheets and towels were changed daily .

Food: breakfast, lunch, and paninnis at the beach cafe were great. The main restaurant in the evening provided quite an extensive menu so there was something for everyone. My only negative comment about the whole holiday is that we found the evening food selection, although extensive, almost the same every night which got a bit boring into the second week. The Mediterranean restaurant was a nice alternative in the evening.
Wine ok, drinkable. Spirits fine, VERY generous measures, some really nice cocktails.
Room fridge stocked with water, coke and fanta. Not a problem if you want wine in the room, go to the bar and the staff will give you a bottle and glasses. Note that in the evening most people dress up a bit, and beach wear is not allowed.

Activities: A huge range to choose from, the instruction is excellent and there was no need to reserve anything, my husband went sailing nearly every day and he would just walk down to the beach when he felt like it and there was always a boat available. We also had some golf tuition, salsa dancing lessons (ha ha) and archery lessons; and enjoyed the bananna boat and canoes.

Entertainment: The resident dancers are excellent. They have maybe 2 or 3 shows in a week, the rest are beach party, pool party, karaoki and belly dancing. There is live music until midnight, and a 'proper' disco from 11pm until 2am, which is supposed to be over 18 but is actually filled with 15-20's. We did go one evening, and if you can ignore feeling old it is actually very good.

Pool area is lovely with enough sunbeds and parasols. The first week we were there , there was a bit of an early 'grab your spot' thing going on, but in the second week some people were coming to the pool at 9am and were able to find a place. The hotel manager also goes round collecting towels off beds that have obviously not been used.

The beach has plenty of sunbeds and parasols, free at any time of the day. It is a private hotel beach which is very close to the hotel/pool areas. The sand is lovely soft white sand, and in the sea it shelves very gradually. The sea is really clear and WARM ! , some mornings with a narrow band of seaweed near the shore, other mornings no seaweed at all. There is a Lifeguard on duty at the beach and the pool.

Nice touches were surprise deliveries of ice lollies on some afternoons, the staff would walk round throwing them to anyone who raised a hand, even if you were in the pool at the time!

There is a mix of nationalities, and obviously the ratio of Brits to others changes depending on school holidays etc. Our first week, there were mainly German, Austrian, some French and Dutch and about 15% Brits. The second week there were more Brits.
Most of the German and Austrian guests speak English anyway so we really had no problems making 'friends'. Almost all the staff speak at least 4 languages. We find it interesting to talk to people from other countries, but if you like all British it may not be the hotel for you.

So, fantastic holiday, the staff really made it special (they even come to wave you off when you leave), wonderful weather, wonderful place.

I think that it is very difficult to give accurate views and opinions on this site, because so much depends on the reader's previous holidays and their expectations of this one. For example, the hotel shows that it is 5 star, it isn't, Possibly within Tunisa it is, but not worldwide. If you've taken other 5 star all inclusives around the world then you will know that is not the case here. Thompsons have it about right at three and a half to four star. If on the other hand you have not taken one of these holidays before, 5 star might be more accurate. Here are some pointers
Make sure that you can take the heat, 33 to 42 degrees while we were out there.
Trip to collisium etc fantastic, 5 hours on coach included, very exhausting day. Do not go on quadbikes, very dangerous, two fell off on our go. Somehow, Thompson's put their name to this?? Worried about Tunisean people? don't be. Inside hotel, from GM down, always smiling, greeting us and could never do enough for us, sensational. The idea of dodgy characters outside the hotel, not founded at all. Safer than GB by far. Keep hands down and say, "no", even if they say that they will give it to you for free, they won't. After one or two goes, they will have a pleasant joke with you and not pester you at all. There will be some young boys on the streets offering you flowers, they are harmless. Remember, many work on commission only basis for their boss. If they have a family to support on so little money, would'nt you do the same? We worked on basis that if you go in a shop and they pestered us, we walked out and went to next one where they did'nt, no problem at all. Local market, go to, it's brilliant. Hammermat, worth a visit on the pink train. Staggering amount of money being put into hotels etc by arabs. Walk along the front and see. Entertainers not west end but adequate. Water events great. Choice and amount of food is never ending. Get out of the hotel grounds and explore, otherwise you could be in Spain or anywhere in the world. Sand better than whole of the Med. Water crystal clear water except for 5 yard band of seaweed. As tide comes in plastic bags come down from waste beach 200 yards down the coast, not much problem though. Visit to Colliseum spectacular but watch, includes 5 hour coach journey, loads of walking and climbing in temperatures between 35 to 42 degrees, shattered when we got back. Take insect repelant. We had adjoining rooms, brilliant for us.

Unless you demand at least 4 star, go.
