4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

Have just returned from this hotel - fabulous weather.
Good - rooms and main areas very very clean.
Food as you would expect for AI but better. Lots of choice and plenty of it. Freshly cooked and very tasty.
Drinks very generous (at times too generous!)
Reception staff really helpful and knowlegeable and always with a smile.
Nice quiet bar if needed.
Helpful staff on gates when you venture out (rarely do these folk get a mention).
Lots of bottled water freely available (which was needed due to heat).
Not so good
Some fabulous waitors who really like to please (thank you to them)
But
Others really could not be bothered and one felt as if they were doing you a favour
Quiet pool area was not clean - lots of dog ends and I smoke and guests shiuld really look for an ashtray but even so a sweep of a brush would have helped.
Very loud musicin main pool but quiet pool very sound insulated.
Guest directory has lots of rules i.e no towels on beds, no inflatables, no swimsuits in restaurants - all sadly ignored by guests and staff (perhaps I am too British!).

Bad
Not enough sun beds - see above.
General manager Jermaine (french and only interrsted in french guests to the extent he ignored all other nationalities despite he was front of house).
Toilets in bar and recreational areas often ran out of soap and loo paper.
Entertainment repetative (but minor irritation).

Good things - taxis really cheap.
Little train costs more than taxis but good fun.

Bad things
Donot take trip to Carthage and Tunis including blue and white village with TTS. Guide terrible and coach trip awful and as for lunch!!! BUT a trip to Tunis souk worth doing (for anyone who has been to Maracech - very similar and fascinating without the tanneries.

Nice relaxing week in hot sunshine and only 2 hoours flight. Worth doing.

Room Tip: Make sure air con is working..

We went to Belisaire in September and found the whole holiday very very good !!!
The hotel was nice and clean with great food, drinks and choice. We paid a very nice old waiter just 10 dina (£4) and he was there regular making sure we had drinks and bottles of water all day, every day. The same goes for the beach life guard but he got my old England football shirt and cheers from everybody around. The entertainment and staff were very good all day and evening and very friendly. The beach was great and so was the pool although at times difficult getting a sun bed. Paragliding was ace and so was the quad bikes but the pirate ship is rubbish if you cannot get upstairs (depending on when you get there) and not worth the money with poor food too. The marina is a short walk or taxi ride away with nice shops and restaurants.
All in all it was brilliant !! Great hotel, food, drink, staff, beach & sea, things to do and to top it off we had fantastic weather too !!!

I travelled to bellisaire in may with my family, the hotel is really good and the animation team were amazing especially richardo. The resteraunt has lovely staff and your table is always set out for you when you come in. There is plenty to eat and its very tasty, the beach is lovely just down the road and theres lost of activities to do like pargliding, parasailing, canoeing, bannana boat ect.. also at the marina there is a pirate ship that takes you out into the sea and has a pirate show and a barbecue. The taxi fares is very cheap but this is a WARNING , make sure they have there meter on because they sometimes pretend is broke so they can get more money. During my stay at belisaire the staff were very friendly and welcomed you to the hotel. There was a few shops and resteraunts nearby and in the hotel there was a shop that sold lots of things also a shop with coverse, football tops ect.. if your looking for a hotel in hammamet , bellisaire is the one:) well theres not much more to say and i hoped my review helped.

Just come back from this hotel after travelling with Thomas Cook. The Staff were helpful, the Animation team work realy hard. i found the room very dark could do with better lighting. The food you had plenty of choice. The beach was about a 5 min walk I would say. The water in bootles from the beach were warm and fizzy. The room was kept nice and cleaned everyday.
The bar did not have the proper glasses for spirits and larger. They also, run out of glasses in the evening, then you ended up with white paper cups. This does make a lot of difference. In the afternoon, if you wanted a snack a couple of times was nothing to eat. But Staff were very helpful its a shame they have not got the other things right yet. Plus was plenty of flys.

Just come back, hotel was lovely and clean room was nice and large. Bed comfy (very important). Hotel staff helpful but do like to ask you to come backin 15 mins or 1 hour. until you push it a little then you can get it done. The food wasnt good at all. The chicken was undercooked in fact most of the meat was undercooked. The bars where a disgrace hardly any glassess was given white plastic cheap cups to drink out off. The beer on draught hasnt been cleaned for a good few weeks. (i know this as its my job in bar!) I ended up buying bottles of the same drink which was on draught and it tasted completely different. So i went all inclusive and ended up buying drinks!!! I spent my all inclusive week away sober apart from 1 day the rest i just drunk water.
The thing that made it better was the pools were lovely you had a loud one and a quiet one. I close to the beach just a 2 min walk away.

But i wouldnt class this as a 4 star. Unless they sort out the issues!!

Plus we wasnt allowed our room for a late check out as they were painting, so we had 12 hours without a room!! we had asked all week and they told us to come back wednesday morning at 9. They knew if that room was booked before then!!!

Dear Karl,

Thank you for taking the time and effort to write your opinion on your recent stay in Tripadvisor. Your review helps us to know how we can still improve the experience of our guests and to us that is of prime importance.

We are very sorry that the all inclusive service did not meet your expectations; please allow us to express our sincerest apologies. We have read your remarks on the quality of food and drinks with a lot of attention and we are grateful that you shared your opinion as this will certainly help us to improve. As we speak, our responsible chef and maitre are revising the procedures to ensure that our demanding quality standards are encountered and to guarantee that all palates will be delighted with our culinary and beverage offers.

Further, we lament that despite our efforts to organize the existing bookings and planned painting job, in a way that you could have a late check out; the availability did not permit it. For coming occasions we would like to inform you that the only way to guarantee the use of your room after check out time is to book it until leaving. Nevertheless, we do our utmost to provide this service when it is required, therefore until the morning of departure we didn’t want to deny the possibility. It is a matter that is subject to availability, and sometimes at the last moment we become cancelations that give us the chance to fulfill petitions of late check out.

On the other hand, we would like to thank you for your kind words towards our staff that are the base to offer the close and personalized service Iberostar is famous for. They will surely celebrate that you wrote that they were helpful. As all of them work very hard, striving to surpass guest expectations, we will definitely pass on your satisfaction with their services.

Also, we find it enjoyable to read that your all over experience, was a good one, as our main strive is to offer fantastic accommodation and enjoyable holidays, it fills us with proud when you write that it is a lovely hotel, and that you enjoyed the comfort of your bed as also the cleanliness, beauty and size of the room.

It strengthens our determination to understand from your comments that you have enjoyed your stay at our hotel and we will take in consideration all your constructive comments to learn how we can still improve some of our services so we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in a not too distant future and surprise you positively by achieving your complete satisfaction.

Sunny regards,

thomas cook transferred us here after we complained about the terrible state of the rooms at the sahara beach hotel in skanes, we were delighted as we had stayed here 2 years previously and really enjoyed it. We arrived at the hotel and didnt really get off to a good start as our cab crashed into another right outside the front gates-only a few bruises so we were all ok but security staff were on hand straight away, they brought out a chair for my mum in law to rest on and water for us all whilst it was all sorted out. Check in was fairly quick and drinks were brought to us, staff were constantly asking if we were al ok and if we needed anything. My 2 elder children had a wander around the hotel and were pleased that the kids club and animation team remembered them from our visit 2 years before. The rooms here are lovely and spacious, always clean-only grumble really is that there are no drawers to put clothes in-only about 8 hangers in the wardrobe so we were pretty much living out of a suitcase but didnt really bother us too much. The drains smelt of dirty sewage-you get this in the bathroom when leaning over the sink to have a wash-a little off putting. However overall we had a fab time, staff go out of their way to help you and dont expect a tip, it was my sons birthday whilst we were here and mohammed our waiter made our table all lovely for him, brought him out a cake and had the whole restaurant singing-absolutely brilliant!!! The animation team are fab and there is always something to do-my hubby loved the water polo best and it got quite competitive!!!. There are plenty f things to do around yasmine, the medina is good for shopping, the marina is lovely for a stroll around and there is also a small theme park, i would defo come back to tunisia and if i did i would stay at the belisaire.
Oh and a special mention to sam our rep who visits the hotel most days-what a character!!! you must go see him in the cabaret night he is fab!!!
