“Too much male hassel”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

As 2 women travelling around Hammamet we felt quite hassled by the male shop keepers here. If they're not trying to get you to buy from them they can be a little intimidating walking along the narrow walk ways. It becomes quite annoying after awhile hearing the same old lines coming from the sellers. If women travelling alone I would advise caution on entering these places.

“Great deals if you haggle”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

The traders are very lighthearted but fairly pushy. They enjoy a haggle so don't take the first price. The stalls and shops are very colourful and tempting. The prices are on the whole very reasonable and it is a great place to pick up souvenirs.

“Tourist trap.”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

We enjoy looking at local lifestyles, this didn't fit the bill. It seemed to be purely for tourists. The hassle at the edge to get in was very offputting.

“medina”

expect to be fleeced in this market. Do not believe anything
as the locals look at the colour of your bracelet and try to convince you that they work in the hotel, to trap you.

“Too restored, but nice”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

nice kasbah with good views of Hammamet. Too restired, but still has an authentic feel. Nice with all the trees growing in the courtyard,
