five star hotel, 10 star service, beautiful, charming accommodation. It was a life experience. Arrived at hotel, received warm welcome by reception staff. Mannerism was of highest quality. Rooms were really beautiful. Beds, beddings, other furniture was impressive. Dining room and variety of food were exceptional.

Room Tip: All rooms are brilliant

Just returned from a week stay at sindbad hotel . A party of 4 , fab hotel with wonderful staff , beautiful bedrooms and surroundings . We were half board . Now I can tell you my honest review of what this hotel lacks , when I go on holiday I expect some form of entertainment , theirs was a guy singing songs from the 70s and after he finished they played a cd of rod Stuart every night . They have an amazing beach , beach bar and restaurant , way overpriced food and drinks . The local Tunisians come on sat and sun , only time I seen a bit of life in the hotel . Yes it was very relaxing and stress free but I think the management should take note that we the guests are keeping you in business and if you expect guests to return , inject some ambiance into the hotel . I could not fault this hotel in any other way other than above .

The hotel has impressive facilities, clean, modern and well proportioned rooms. The beautifully manicured gardens, lovely birdcage, lighting and infinity swimming pool and beach make it appear to be a 5 star hotel.
The BIG positives -
The Chiraz Restaurant - AWESOME - Great food, great wine, great service, great facilities and great value - FIRST CLASS and should not be missed - we had 2 meals here in our 7 night stay and it was on a par with high class London restaurants!
Room Sizes - Excellent
Staff on the beach and some of the waiters at the infinity pool
Quality of furnishings
Housekeeping service - flowers and sweets on the bed daily and rooms well cleaned
Constant provision of nibbles (Cheese / Olives and Almonds - lush)
Quality and variety of breakfast
Beautiful surroundings - the infitnity pool is breathtaking
The beach is great - talc sand, clear blue seas - lovely comfortable complimentary sunbeds (with mattresses) and towels

HUGE negatives -
The staff in the main restaurant Shehrazed SHOCKING - both at breakfast and dinner - they are rude, patronising and dismissive - they prefer to service the Tunisian locals than look after the holidaymakers - there was more than one occasion that my partner was ignored at breakfast service in favor of a Tunisian standing behind him
The evening food is disgusting with the exception of the BBQ - over heated and bland - thank goodness we didn't book half board! In this shoddy restaurant men have to wear long trousers - but nobody tells you this and it is not written anywhere in the literature (a bit of a problem when you've only packed shorts!) - you can't go in in smart shorts but you can go in with ripped jeans! Seriously it is like sitting in a cafeteria!! Ok to wear shorts in the other restaurants though :/
No tea / coffee or complimentary water in your room? How can this be right with 5 stars?
The hotel was dead most of the week with no life except a droning duo who sang (badly) the same terrible songs EVERY night - however Saturday night when the locals arrive a kicking disco in the pool bar - wouldn't mind but why isn't this provided for the tourists AND inexcusably the music pumped until 4.15am - meaning absolutely NO SLEEP in our room!!!
Day reception staff rude in places
The beach restaurant closed at 5.30pm so you couldn't eat an evening meal enjoying the beautiful surroundings - this was one of the draws that made us book this hotel

It could quite easily be 5 star if it sorted out the inexcusably, rude service from 2/3 of its staff - improved provision in the rooms and focused on it's tourist market not their local mates. Shame :(
Therefore this is an average rating - the high points were unfortunately overshadowed by the poor ones :(

Room Tip: Not near the pool on a Saturday night - or by the very noisy road

I love the ambiance at the beach. Great music, nice beach, good crowd, excellent service... An excellent place to chill and drink in the sun! The pool is amazing as well! Chic and beautifull view. I will return!

This is a good hotel with a private beach.. the rooms were modern and comfortable. It's close to the old Hammamet town so you get to mingle with the locals and eat real Tunisian food! We had a car, so we were able to drive around and found some authentic olive oil mills and bought some virgin olive oil.. I can still taste it! Driving to the touristic part of Hammamet is not that bad.. It was like 10 minutes and the traffic was not bad at all. If I'm going to the area again then I would go there for sure!

An oasis of luxury in a sea of scruffyness. The site is large and secure giving you a rather insular outlook on the local neighourhood. The facilities are extensive with indoor spa pool, outdoor spa pool, infinity pool by the beach and then of course the actual real live sea. A bit cool in May but still surpasses the English Channel. This place has everything, good food, good rooms, beautiful surroundings and a brilliant beach area. The staff are friendly, they smile and greet you at every opportunity. The walk to town (Hammamet) can be along the beach or via the road. Don't be lazy and take a taxi, unless its dark. The beach walk is not recommended by the Hotel staff but the worst that can happen is a wet foot at the narrow point. Thirty minutes sees you in town where the Medina is a proper one with homes and shop sharing the picturesque alleys. No serious hassle and it's small enough to allow you to roam at will. The Fort is worth a visit as is the food market where you will see live quail, chicken and rabbits but not for long.

Room Tip: Fast for a week before you go here.

A good spread-out beachside hotel with huge rooms and a good range of eateries and facilities. Bar service a bit slow and haphazard but that goes with the territory in countries where alcohol is haram. Perfect for a few days break in the sunshine.
