“Very large and very good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2012

This hotel is very large - i thik there are more than 500 rooms.
Everything is very well organized, they can handle the many guests.
The staff is helpful and friendly. The service in the bar in the evening was excellent: Plenty of beer and boukha.
Every meal is a buffet, we allways found good dishes.
It is a very fine beach here, better than the one I saw in Yasmine Hammamet.
We went on the camel ride ( dromedars), 3 hours ride in the neighborhood. It was fun to try.
We rented at car at the airport and had nice trips to Hammamet, El Jem, Zaghouan, Oudna, Friguia Park and Tunis. It is easy to drive in Tunisia.

Room Tip: Rooms in the hotel has a prober seperate bathroom. We enjoyed thar our room was near beach, pools, t...

We have just come home after spending a pleasant week in Tunisia at Le Paradis. Overall the service was excellent, quick and easy check in by friendly reception staff. On arriving in our room (at midnight), we found the shower was not actually fixed to the wall, so we went to reception to report it, and it was fixed by the time we got back!
The room was a little dated and the beds missing boards leading to an uncomfortable night. We went to reception in the morning and were moved to another room, with no problems.
The room was clean and comfortable, but very strange to have the bath/shower actually in the bedroom, only separated by a shower curtain and no door, with a big step into and out of the bath. As a result, the room did smell pretty bad, and the aircon was not great!
The food was nice enough, and plenty of it, only one problem was that we noticed at the bars the men were always served first, despite the women having been waiting longer.
The staff were very friendly, the beach and gardens beautiful, and all in all a lovely place to stay great value for money.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool are disturbed by the entertainment until 2230, which is fine as long as y...

Dear Guest

The smell in the room was not from the shower, but we had 95% humidity in October and some rooms had a bad smell. Thank you very much for you review. We do hope that you will come back next year to spend another nice holiday with us.

After 2 brilliant weeks in Egypt this summer,we decided to take a weeks break here. Cant be to bad we thought, hotel got pretty good reviews and the weather is still pretty good in October.
Arrived around mid-day and then spent the next hour trying to book in, this involved going back and forward to reception 4(!!!!) times, not much fun with 2 tired small kids.
Dont expect a welcome drink on arrival, in fact, dont expect a welcome smile.
Eventually got sent to the beach restaraunt for lunch. Lucky us, we got the left overs.
When we finally got to our room we found that when we turned on the a/c the place absolutley stank, was quickley turned off (must be fun in high summer).
Getting food in the main restaurant is a nightmare, huge queues everywhere. Even gave up waiting for a fried egg one day, was that bad. Pity really, because food quality (when you get it) was not bad.
The waiters were ok, but if you dont tip them you find that your ordered drink arrives when you've finished eating (strange).
There is a pool bar, but for whatever reason was not in use. The beach bar only serves beer, wine, water and soft drinks. If you want anything else (and some people on holiday do) off you go to the bar in the hotel building (but not wearing beach wear).Have never ever experienced that anywhere else in the world!!!!!.
The pools were ok, but far to cold, even saw some people taking there kids out because there lips had turned blue!!
The beach was also ok if you enjoy walking through camel s**t to get to the water and then swim with the camel s**t.
Towards the end of our week the cleaning girls gave up changing our beds, they just left us the sheets so we could do it ourselves, really 4* service.
No doubt the customer relations officer (ha ha) will try to play these viewpoints down. She would be lying!!
This is the first negative tripadvisor report i've ever written (and i've written loads).
Would we go back?
No, there are much better places, sorry

Room Tip: Dont get a bungalow

I do not lye, I try to explain ! In October we had until 95% humidity and for this reason some rooms had a smell of humidity. At the barbecue or in the restaurant I like to stand approx. 5 - 10 minutes in a queue to get fresh fish and meat with the high temperatures we had. The pool bar is no more a real pool bar because people took the glasses from the bar with them and two accidents with glass, not plastik, forced us to close it. The camel s...... you are talking about is not camel s....... These balls are algae, coming up and down on the beach in the sand by the waves, beginning to grow with sand ans salt and look like camel s...... but is not. For the next season we will put photos on the big information board concerning algaes to show what is nature and what is the so called camel s........

I would like to thank the entire management for their competence in handling complains. We were accommodated in a standard double room as a family of four by mistake ( Two adults and two children) contrary to what we originally booked (Family standard room, HB). As soon as the head waiter got to know about the situation, he went to the reception desk and spoke to the Reservation Manager on our behalf. The Reservation Manager responded immediately by moving us to a family standard room. Later on in the day, the General Manager rewarded us generously by converting our last four nights from "Half Board" to "All inclusive" Well done!

The dining hall is dated, no clean tables when you get there at 9am for breakfast, the 'chefs' (if you can even call them that) don't care at all for yor food or the cleanliness of their surroundings. The egg man dropped the spatula on the floor one day and picked it up and carried on serving! Lunch isn't much better, although it's outside near the BBQ area, the amount of flies puts you off and then they served us raw chicken from the BBQ and had to give it back to them to cook for longer. None of the service is with a smile- this could have been because we were English and pretty much the only English couple there! Dinner is awful, we ended up going out every night for dinner as it was that bad. The food was tasteless and like breakfast, there are no clean tables! Beach is nice and the pool is good! Recommend you sit on the beach as sun goes away v quickly round the pool! Our room was good enough, air con wasn't great and there were long black hairs from the people before us on the walls of the shower! It's an alright cheapy holiday but if your expecting anything 4* (which hotel paradis is meant to be) then this is not the place for you!

Sorry, have you spent your holidays in the Paradis Palace ? Our food is very good, we have theme evenings with mediterranean buffet, asiatic buffet, italian buffet with live music, fisherman's evenings, international buffet, tunisian and oriental buffets. All with the same taste ? Did you not see our unique beach, the magnificent garden with 150 different flowers and 1000 palm trees ? Our guests can take lunch on the barbecue on the beach with a great view on the center of Hammamet or the marina of Hammamet Yasmine ! Our staff is cleaning the whole day and all the personnel is friendly with all people who are friendly with them !
