We have just come back from a week at this hotel our first time in Tunisia,we would highly recommend, especially the animation team as they made this such an enjoyable week, nothing was too much trouble and although we went when it was quieter they still kept us entertained, give the waiters and the bar staff small tips and they will look after you very well, very clean hotel the food was of a high standard.Mark our rep was extremely helpful and the information given and tips on out and about were appreciated. All in all a great week and planning next trip in 2012.

My wife and I came here on our honeymoon.
Weather great for October. Location was awful, my wife and I felt unsafe.
The service was terrible! Bad experience
I personally got salmonella poisoning when I got home, probably from the breakfast. We drank bottled water, so they have no excuse. Horrible place, smelt of seywers.

Drinks included tasted of powder?!

Going outside the complex be very very careful.
Shops will lock you in until you buy loads of things!
Taxi's don't use!
Overall a horrible experience!
Never again

The only good thing about the honeymoon was that I was with my wife.

We were fortunate to of spent a well needed week away with dear friends at the beginning of November. We were all made to feel extremely welcomed by all of the hotel staff, who gave a competant and superb service you could not fault.
Our accomodation exceeded all expectations providing us with a comfortable and spacious base while enjoying the hotel facilities and excursions.
Our dining experiences were always special and delicious with a wide range of foods for all paletts and an attentive chef and waiting team of staff.
The entertainment team, 'The Animation Team', provided us with a tremendous wealth of showcases and daytime activities without obligation to join in;constantly striving to improve their service.
Our only concern and dissapointment was that the beach which was in need of a good clear up,especially after the storms they incurred a few days previous. In fairness we did see tractors part clearing the immediate area to the hotel the day after our arrival-but I do think that this area needs to be regularly managed to enhance the hotel and enviroment.
I would recommend this Tunisian Haven to all and hope you have as lovely a stay as we had :)

2 weeks in sept we had a great time the food was good plenty of choice a good room overlooking the amazing pool the staff were always helpfull u just have to realise that this is a culture that lives off tips the managers were always around asking if things were good.the only draw back to a great hotel was the early mornlng booked breakfast don;t bother it was in a darken resturant with no staff and leftovers from the last nights meal . a shame the only fault in a good hotel.

Room Tip: west facing rooms sunny afternoons and evenings

just spent last 2 weeks of october here. i would not reccomend this time of year to anyone if you want guarunteed sun as we were very lucky to get 11 days.
The only faults with the hotel itself would be the outdoor pool is not heated but this wouldnt matter in september.
the bar staff were next to useless unless you gave them £2.50 every night.
the evening entertainment was mostly poor but they tried very hard sometimes too hard.
The biggest problem in the hotel was the touts selling day trips. and the shop keeper was a rude miserable git.
But food and all other staff were great.
the rooms were very good and cleaned daily.
there were 3 resteraunts all exellent.
the beech was great except for the man and his camel (stay clear as he will try to rip you off).
if you have to go to tunisia then i would reccomend this hotel.

Just had a week in October here - the staff are brill could not do enough for you travelled with first choice and mark the rep was lovely our welcome meeting was informative as we had never been to Tunisia before. Hotel food was excellent at all times we never had a bad meal the whole time . A nice stroll around the harbour after lunch then back to the sun lounger. The annimation team a bit annoying but some people liked it. Would recommend this hotel and the quick flight over was a bonus only 2 hrs 40 mins ideal for a quick week away highly recommend this hotel .

We have just returned from a short stay at the Riu Marco Polo hotel and I can only sing the praises of the quality of the hotel , rooms, service, food and entertainment. The whole experience from check in to check out was flawless and all the staff just could not do enough to ensure our stay was great.
I have read critical comments from others about silly things like the size of the glasses......the answer to those people is get two glasses !.....its worth it because the beer is great. Other people are moaning about the entertainment team but we felt thay do a great job....there is no pressure to participate and if you just want to soak up the sun and not get involved it is no problem.
All in all we had a great few days and I would hope to return in the future and we have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
