Far too Manu stars!- Reminds of a refugee camp. Hundreds of North African extended families, noisy clans. We were booked for 4nights to a "connected" room, two Rooma adjoined by (locked) door. The noise level, the parying hours, families disputes, gatherings and baby crying added to the tv volumes even in the small hours were unnerving. - The dining room buffet food Washington good, only the manners of the masses were unappetizing - children running around wild, thumbing the buffet trays, people overpiling their plates unable to stuff it in their stomachs.-our flight Washington rescheduled. Instead of suggesting to pay a litteään extra and be able to stay comfortable a feedinä hours, the young lady in the reception brusqely reminded us to be sure to leave the room in good time. I used to work in tourist business in Tunisia years aho. I am surprised at the state of the affairs now. There is so much capacity. Sorry to see it going down the drain.

Stayed at this hotel in summer 2013. Upon arrival it was fantastic, lovely staff checking us in & very courteous. Due to a late arrival the staff allowed us to have a dinner in the restaurant after closing which was much appreciated.

Arrived in the room to find used cotton buds behind the bedroom door & pubic hair in the bathtub. My mother manages a branch of a very prestigious European hotel chain thus, I am constantly checking for cleanliness. This was absolutely vile but as it was late & we were tired after a long journey we left it.

The pools were great, and the animation team have left me with life long memories!

The beach was abysmal, dirty and a severe lack of sun beds. If you didn't go to the beach first thing in the morning, you would miss out.

The food was average. Just full of chips! As a British born North African, I expected some authentic food. Not English food every day!

I ordered room service, they said I would have to go downstairs to get it! Sorry, the clue is in the title 'ROOM service'. The person hung up the phone, but eventually the food was sent to the room.

The staff are so lazy. Constantly forgetting about us & our orders and serving the Russians before us even though they ordered after us!!

On one occasion, I ordered ice cream, after waiting 45 minutes I complained, it still didn't come. In the meantime, guests had been served COOKED food even though they had literally just ordered!

I went up to the room, as I gave up waiting. I called reception to complain & after that service significantly improved. Still slow but a massive improvement.

The bar staff in the lobby bar are absolutely fantastic. Always remembering our orders & making surprise cocktails for us!

The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to local amenities and shopping areas. Rooms need an upgrade but whilst on holiday I never spend too much time in the room anyway. Hotel areas are beautiful, & the specialised food nights they have are wonderful. Very romantic setting with absolutely superb food! I recommend the Turkish night.

All in all, a standard holiday. I will not be returning.

Hotel was ok, I wouldn't say five star, about four star, rooms nice, staff are polite, food wasn't great as they cater food dishes for more Eastern European mainly,
Well that's in my opinion, hammamet it's self has nothing special apart from one entertainment park where all the shops are.
Over all it was satisfactory stay. Wouldn't go back there

Just returned from a week holiday at this hotel from the 29th December, till 5th January 2014. Arrived late for check in due to a delay of our flight. However, we were offered a late buffet at 11.00pm. Very nice gesture. Excellent staff at the reception, very courteous.

Fantastic New Year's eve Gala dinner, excellent french cuisine. Lovely entertainment, the band played both European and Tunisian music which pleased one and all. Could not see the cabaret show, cause our table was at the far end of the restaurant and our vision was blocked by the concrete columns. No big deal, still enjoyed the evening to the full.

We were on half board and the food was to our liking.

Our room was very clean and the housekeeping personnel were excellent and attended gladly to our needs.

Overall, this hotel is excellent, except for the following negative points that we observed:

We have been going to Tunisia every year for the past 15yrs and have been to different hotels all over including the sister Hotel El Menzah, and have never seen the staff (kitchen, waiters security and other personnel) helping themselves to food , bread, fruits and coffee while the hotel guests are still in the restaurant.

I was charged different prices for bottle of water and no receipt. However, when I insisted for the receipt, i was charged the right price. Same for coffees at the bar, no receipts.

Well, ce le vie.

Overall a wonderful stay and will be back in future.

We were booked as two families of four and five respectively, at this Hotel for 5 nights.

I would like to share my experience at this hotel and I would like to start out by giving the cons first [to get it done and over with] before writing about the pros.

Cons:
1. No WiFi - their server was down - if desperate, had to cross across the swimming pool area into their adjacent sister [El Mouradi El Menzah] concern to use their WiFi. Sometimes, it is a boon not to have WiFi at all!
2. No water or tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
3. One is generally not allowed to bring drinks/water and food from outside into the hotel.
4. The large neon sign on top of the hotel does not work and consequently you can miss the hotel if arriving there during the night in a rental car [like we did] and go in circles to locate it. We initially went to their adjacent sister hotel [El Mouradi El Menzah] and then had to be redirected to this Hotel.
5. Use of heated indoor pool is free, but to use other services like the Gym/Sauna one has to pay extra.
6. Only two lifts for a large hotel of this size - can sometimes be very busy.

Pros:
1. Great location - sea facing hotel with a beautiful beach.
2. Fantastic staff - very helpful, hard-working & polite
3. Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner- a feast laid out every time. You get a chance to taste the Tunisian specialities and delicacies with some of the items being prepared in front of your own eyes.
4. We were invited as guests for the Christmas Eve Gala Dinner [only a few were invited]. The ambience was great with live music and we were served our meals at our tables. The presentation of the menu was simply extravagant and something that we had not seen before. Every detail was looked into and we had a great time. When we returned to our rooms, we were pleasantly surprised to see a beautifully decorated cake in each of our rooms.
5. Rooms cleaned daily, with beds made and clean towels provided - The sea-facing rooms are a bit dated but reasonably well-maintained, but they also have a few superior rooms facing the swimming pool area that have been recently re-furbished. We were initially put up in a superior room. though we had requested & paid a little extra for a sea-facing room, as the Hotel was going at full occupancy. We were moved to the sea-facing rooms the following day.
6. The 'Animation Team' did a good job overall.

Though this Hotel is being advertised as a' Five stars', I would give it at a maximum 'Four Stars, but I would like to add that I could rate the service provided by the ever-smiling, handsome, extremely efficient, Deputy Manager - Mr.Marouen Kilani - as nothing less than 'Seven stars'. Marouen worked tirelessly and led his staff from the front. He was eager to see all his guests comfortable and looked after their needs as far as possible. Led by his example, the other members of the reception staff were also helpful. Thank you Marouen for making our stay memorable.

To enjoy this exotic country I would recommend hiring a car from the airport along with a GPS navigation and exploring. The roads [especially the toll roads/motorways] are reasonably good. There are frequent police checks are check-points, but this does not take too much of the time as long as your documentation is in order [driving license/passport/contract of car rental].

For local shopping, I found 'Joys' department store that is at a walkable distance from the Hotel, extremely reasonable. For those who do not like to haggle at souks, this store has everything that you would like to buy at a fair fixed price. They also have few basic provisions like water, milk, eatables, etc. There is a fast-food restaurant next to this largish department store that even the locals frequent, that you can try.

We had a great time while staying at this hotel and hope that you do as well. Looking forward to visit Tunisia again in a few years time - Inshallah! [if God wills].

Room Tip: Ask for a sea-facing room on the 4th Floor. Alternatively ask for a superior room on the 4th Floor w...
