We spent august in Hammamet and as the start was ramadan we went for an italian restaurant... Franco's is just by the beach and on a windy evening you can hear the waves from the beautiful garden space where the tables are set out in the greenery and tender light. Jasmin and bouganville amongst the tree foliage. In this lovely setting a lovely italian family warms the place in typical romagna-style. Franco often offers advice to each table whilst Pietro (his uncle) keeps checking the service. The food is prime and the cuisine creative. My personal first choice is the sea bass tartare! The pasta is glorious and all made in-house. The meat and fish fresh and tasty. Also known for a (rare in Hammamet) good wine list. A definite great experience!
