A truly marvelous and impressive hotel, boasting remarkable architectural design and luxury. Friendly and professional, yet unintrusive service by all members of staff. Pity for having stayed for less than 24 hours, but I was on a business trip rather than leisure. Its only downside is the fact that its not located directly on the beach. My room had a view overlooking the beautiful pool area amid landscaped gardens and palm trees. Room is spacious and pleasantly decorated with marbled floors and feature walls. Very clean. Some minor room maintenance intervention on furniture and bathroom would be commendable, but nothing serious.

To my surprise the hotel was almost deserted, I say no more than a dozen guests in total. Hammamet must be going through a difficult time as tourist numbers dropped drastically. Perhaps it was low season but I wonder how on earth they can survive unless visitors flock back in big numbers.

An amazing hotel with excellent facilities (large comfortable room complete with mod cons and super comfortable king size bed, spa, pool, private beach) , friendly staff and delicious food - the breakfast choice was extensive and by far the best I've had in any hotel.

Some may not like this hotel as it is a dry hotel not serving alcohol, however, it provided an excellent retreat for me and my partner with plenty to do and/or relax in an oasis with swing chairs, lush greenery and a relaxing spa.

Highly recommend for anyone looking to recharge their batteries and savour the company of loved ones.

It is a nice luxuagy hotel. Just it is not located on the sea side of the road. The room is perfectly clean and comfortable. The personnel are friendly. It offer a variety of nice food.
This hotel is god for organizing seminars.

We stayed at the Russellior for 8 days. We had a great and relaxing time. The staff are friendly but very busy. The food is repetitive and recycled but most resort hotels offer this service. I thought that the chef was quite clever in coming up with new dishes from last nights leftovers.
You can drink in the confines of your room and if you are discrete you can have an alcoholic drink with your meal by adding it to coke or fruit juice.
Avoid the Japanese restaurant. They have no idea how to cook Japanese food. Stick to local cuisine.
We are seasoned travellers and stay in some of the best resorts around the world. The Russellior was not our best but we had a great time and we will stay there again.

Room Tip: Bring your own alcohol. No corkage charges and hence you can drink really good wine and spirit at hi...

This is a very comfortable place to stay - with a great spa, lovely gardens and pool. I was a bit disappointed to find that the restaurant was only open for buffet service my first evening and that the only alternative was room service. But apart from this it is a comfortable classy hotel - more formal than personal.

Room Tip: I looked out over the car park - but there are also rooms that look out over the gardens that are pr...

The Russelior is a very elegant hotel with beautiful rooms and facilities. The spa is very nice and the pool, gym, sauna and hammam are included in your room fees. It is a pity that the hotel in not right on the beach. A golf kart will take you to the beach, few hundred meters down the road.
The decor is worth the five star mark. However the service and the food are not. We needed some headache pills and toothpaste, and noone could provide it. They told us to go to the pharmacy, when I think they should have (offered to) send somebody to the pharmacy for us. Also, we had let them know that we came to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but we didn't get any special treatment. None of the staff even mentionned it. So that was a bit disappointing.. In general, in a five star, they pay attention to every single detail to cater for guest satisfaction, they do EVERYTHING to make you feel comfortable and provide you with things you may need. That is what luxury is about: the impeccable service. At Russelior, we didn't feel that extra care.
Regarding the food, it was nice, but not outsdanding. We had a pizza and a pasta for lunch: both bland/boring. At night, we went to the Japonsese restaurant, it tasted fine but the food was quasi cold when we got it. So, not a real treat... Breakfast was your typical resort buffet breakfast : a variety of good quality products. However, the guys cannot make other types of eggs than omelettes, and it is only coffee or tea (forget about capuccino, cafe latte or the likes). All and all, a pleasant experience, but not worth a 5 star seal.

I have stayed there during company event for 3 nights, hotel is huge, so missing little a bit of individual approach and privacy.
Lobby, spa and garden with swimming pool are really nicely done with some traditional touch.
Rooms are fine; corresponding to mass tourism.
The breakfasts are really good, wide selection of things for all tastes, otherwise lunch / dinners not 5 stars at all.
Service is helpful; little a bit slow when there is too many people.

Surrounding of hotel - other hotels; shopping mall, small marina - well, if you're looking for nice weather, swimming pool and sea proximity it's fine, if you want to be little a bit "in" the local culture or out of thousands of other mainly european tourists that's to be avoided.
