After spending 5 months in Tunisia this is one of the very few places where the whole dining experience really was nice. It is not a fancy place but the service and food is very good for Tunisian standards. The restaurant is cozy and the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. It is very popular among locals but if you are not from a Mediterranean country yourself, you will probably eat earlier than them, and therefore can normally get a table without a reservation and even finish eating before the local eating times. The cous cous is better than in Tunis, also had the very nice barbecued meet skewer (brochette) and prawns. Grand Patron was the best of the red wines.
Clean and safe to eat, toilets are also clean enough to use unlike in most places in Tunis.
Since it is not trying to be fancy or specifically cater for tourists it is not too overpriced if certainly also not the cheapest.
If you want to have the normal tourist food and experience, please do not go to this lovely local place and spoil the atmosphere. I have eaten here 3 times, every time I was in Hammamet, and the quality has been consistent always. Therefore I will again go there next time = )
