i saw children throwing stones at most of the animals no security present also cans bottles were been thrown into all animal enclosures the animals could choke ,a rule of no food or drink would iradicate that problem and a sign warning that anyone throwing stones or anything harmful.,would be thrown in the lion enclosure and ignored.

“Amazing Zoo!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

Me and my family have been to this zoo twice while we have been in Tunisia and it really is amazing. There is a great variety of animals here from Flamingos as soon as you walk through the gate to Zebras, Giraffes & Meercats!, The animals are really well looked after aswell. There are little shops dotted around the zoo where you can buy drinks, snacks and ice cream. The zoo is very hilly, from the highest point you can see the salt lake. They do sealion & dolphin shows at various times during the day most people go to the zoo during a trip called 'zulu safari' but we went with a taxi driver who picked us up from our hotel and waited outside the zoo untill we were ready to go back to the hotel

Went here while on holiday in tunisia and I loved it!! The trip we did was a couple of hours in the zoo and then a three course meal afterwards in the zoo, loved it, loved seeing all the animals and the meal and entertainment were really good! Thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend!

“Nice but hilly zoo”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2013

We went on a package trip (zulu soiree) and only had an hour and half to get round the actual zoo so we where rushing, could of done with another hour really. There was a good selection of animals...various apes, giraffes, elephants, 1 zebra, lions & other big cats, sea lions, various bison & antelope type creatures and also some rabbits & birds. The sea lion show is included in the zoo admission, however, if you want you photo with the sealion there is an extra fee for this (10 TND) and the if you want to see the dolphin, that is also payable seperately (20TND). As per the below, if staff are in the enclosures they will take close up photos for you but will most likely expect a tip. As per someone elses comment below, the sculptures along the path are nice.

The zulu show and meal was quite fun - a well set out room, nice food and red wine, coke & water where included. The central show (it's a round room) was a tour through african culture with singin and dancing/

Overall, quite a nice zoo really. Though worth noting that it is pretty hilly rather than flat so you will struggle if you have waling difficulties. Also, to view the big cats you have to go on an escalated wooden slat walkway which gives you a great view but was wobbly in places and not so good if you are afraid of heights.

Except the dolphinarium, the park is a rotting, dirt everywhere, bad food at the snack, poor animals, not well fed, very rude staff. if you want to take pictures for animals (lion, tiger, etc ...) you have to pay money. the travel agency must inform us that it is not allowed to film and take pictures at the park.
Our children were crying, some personal sleeping (4 peoples in the big cats kiosk) and refused to serve us ice cream.
Sorry, but we regret our visit to the park and we leave with a very very bad memories.
