“"Happy times"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013

Just returned from "Palm Azure" after spending a week there with my daughter, and everything
there came up to, and exceeded all our expectations! From arriving to leaving everything was great. Apart from finding a most comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean room with a lovely view, and beautiful pools, good food, and exceptionaly likeable and hard working animation team, there was Neil!! our Thomson rep, "Thankyou Neil" for adding that extra touch and being such a brilliant rep with your "on tap" info and great sense of fun, you felt like a good friend! So with all that being said, a last thankyou to "Palm Azur" and its "work force" for a much needed fantastic break, especialy for my daughter,(who realy needed this) hope to be back! . Carole and Michelle.
May 2013.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 4143. lovely sea view and very quiet

We have just returned from an excellent week in the club Riu Palm Azur.Excellent service throughout from the cleaners to reception everyone very helpful. The pool master helped with the elder and less mobile people so they could use the pool and always with a smile.A great hotel, very clean with an excellent selection of food for all tastes. They even provide beach towels so no need take up suitcase space and weight.Highly recommended for a break in the sun.As for the trip advisor Neil,he made everyone feel welcome and was always on hand for a chat or to give handy tips.A real joy

Having travelled to the main land Tunisia several times before this was the first time to Djerba.
The hotel rooms are superb, immaculately clean, 1st class. The hotel and it's grounds were probably one of the best hotels that I have stayed in, in a very long time. The majority of the staff at the hotel were 1st class except the 'grumpy/slow' waiter that we had in the evenings - he was the exception!
The lay out of the hotel grounds is very well thought out as there are quiet areas to sunbathe and swim, a seperate child's pool with playground and of course the beach. The hotel had a refurb 24 months ago and it shows.
The food was plentiful and varied and no matter what your taste is, something for everyone; you certainly won't go hungry.
The only disappointment was the island it's self. Half constructed buildings and lots of rubbish everywhere - you will see this on route to the hotel from the airport. The main land has alot more to offer if you want to leave the hotel.
With that said, for a week in a quality hotel for complete R & R, this would be the perfect place.
I would return to this hotel and recommend the hotel to other travellers - it's quality.
DON'T forget when all inclusive DON'T change large amounts of money up as there really isn't anything to spend it on and you will get clobbered changing back at the airport (only place you can) as it's a closed currency.

Room Tip: The hotel is a low rise and it's worth the small supplement for a seaview on the 2nd floor. We...

I would recommend this hotel to all. Fantastic service, food, cleanliness and all staff are friendly, polite and welcoming. We travelled with Thomson and was our first time to Djerba. Our rep Neil Elliott was an absolute star. He went out of his way to make sure our holiday was special. You are guaranteed 24/7 entertainment catered to all ages. We usually travel long haul but will definitely be making a return to this hotel. I could not fault anything. I'm a fussy eat but the food was out of this world. Catering to all tastes with showing cooking and themed evenings. For what we paid I could not say a bad thing about this holiday. They say you get what you pay for but with the Riu palm Azur you will get more than what you pay for.

A lovely Hotel which all the Staff from Check in to Check out we're exceptional nothing too much trouble every member of staff went out of there way to make the holiday memorable the food is good something for everyone the Asian speciality was fantastic well worth a visit or two! Beach has been cleaned and a pier for launching watersports has been erected Animation Team try very hard to entertain all day from 10 am there is a Language barrier but eventually got there so funny. Our Thomsons Holiday Advisor Neil also works hard and is such a lovely person nothing too much trouble the best we have ever had.

An incredible hotel!

We were with Thomson and our Holiday Advisor Neil was the best, efficient in his work and very friendly. All staff are very helpful and friendly. Cleaners were always very good too.
There is a range of reliable food and drink, vegetarians will also have a variety to choose from.
The hotel is very beautiful and rooms are spacious and well presented.
Taxi's are always waiting so it is easy to venture away from the hotel into Houmt Souk the capital or the town Midoun.

I would strongly recommend this hotel you are treated very well and you have plenty of choice on how to spend your holiday with Spa treatments, swimming and plenty more.

Thank you Palm Azur for a very special holiday :)
Thank you Neil for all your hard work !

Room Tip: Paying just a little extra for a sea-view room is worth every penny; otherwise you could be overlook...

Very, very good hotel. The room are comfortable and clean. Bathroom very original design - with a transparent window connecting bathroom with bedroom (you can hide it, of course if you want). Hotel is located on the beach and offers many free attractions: water kayaks, pedal boats, golf, tennis, etc... - you just can not get bored there!!! The beach is sandy, but after entering the water are the stones, so you have to have water shoes. The animations are quite good. The main pool is large, but a little too shallow. Food (as in Tunisia) are very tasty and plenty of choice - something for everyone. I recommend this hotel!!!
