We stayed here while on a motorcycle trip. Beautiful rooms and great view of Hart Castle, especially at night!!!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the river & castle give you a wonderful view!!

It is a great place to stay. Our room had a view of the castle right from our balcony. At night we sat and looked at the castle which was all lite up.
The quaint town was nice to walk around and look in all the nice little shops. There were very nice restaurants and we took the twilight cruise at night. It was a beautiful night and the ride was so relaxing while we heard all about the 1,000 islands.
We played golf one day and even saw a deer run across the fairway. What fun!!
It is one of our favorite places to vacation and we'll be going back this year too!!

Room Tip: A balcony overlooking the St. Lawrence River and looking at the castle.

Enroute to a wedding in early September, we decided to visit the 1000 Islands and stay at Capt. Thomson's Resort. Spent two nights here in our poolside room. Much to our surprise, we also had a balcony that overlooked the waterway behind us that had a great view! It was much quieter than the rooms adjacent to the very busy dockside. The staff was pleasant and gave us great recommendations where to eat and things to see and do. The town was somewhat quiet but that was just fine with us. We highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: corner poolside room quiet and with balcony that overlooks the waterway.

Spent one night, Oct 7th, at Captain Thomson's Resort on our way to Ottawa and wish I had allowed for 2 or 3 so I could have taken a boat tour or two. The resort closed at the end of the weekend and wont open again until May. We had a room, a very clean and comfortable room, with a balcony facing a beautiful, very beautiful, water view to include an island or two with some impressive homes and even a castle. If you decide to stay there make reservations to be sure and try Riley's restaurant adjacent to the resort, we had a very good dinner there.

Room Tip: We were in room 109 which faced north, but most rooms faced the aware.
