Reading reviews and talking to locals made me leary of eating here. Surprisingly...it was quite good! Steamed clams were delicious. Salads very good with varied ingredients. Had the 1,000 Island dressing...of course....and it was delicious. Broiled scallops were good...not the best I've had but good! Pasta with chicken, broccoli and carrots in Alfredo Sauce was also very good. Best Bloody Caesar drink I'd had in the region as well. We would go back. Staff were friendly and attentive!

Our server was a very enthusiastic and sweet, but that was as good as it got. We took my inlaws there for dinner as it was their first time in A bay, and not a good first impression.we got sucked in by the outdoor seating and the nautical theme. But...the pre-dinner wine was flat and old tasting. Our salads were brown and drowning in dressing, mine had the entire iceberg core in it. We all had seafood, and for the price we expected something far better. The seafood was obviously pre frozen and watery inside of the crusts the way a fried mushroom is. My father in law ordered the seared, blackened swordfish. What came out was not only supersmall and didnt have any sides, but it was swimming n a half inch of clear liquid. It was gray and looked as though it had been steamed and sprinkled with paprika or something else orange. When we questioned the lack of blackening or searing, we were told that blackened just meant cajun flavored. Well now. dont go.

We went into this restaurant on a whim as we decided after a Boldt Castle tour we were quite hungry. We were a group of 6 and had 3 separate checks that the staff accommodated. As the day was hot, we opted to eat inside and had our pick of the seats. We were surprised on a Saturday at about 5PM to not find a bigger crowd. But as the day was nice, the crowd may have been still playing outside in the beautiful day.
In our group we had drinks, appetizers and a mix of entrees.
The service was a bit slow given that the restaurant was not packed. However our server was pleasant and polite. She also accommodated a few questions where she had to come back with answers to. That was nice of her.
On the drinks, there was no issue with the wine or wine cocktail specials. However the two of us, that got the margarita special both felt the margarita seemed quite watered down. Not just the tequila, but also for the tart flavor. Additionally the salt on the glasses was more than we would expect with a ¼ to ½ inch band around the outside of the glass rather than the typical ⅛ inch on the rim only. Mind you, it was nice that the waitress asked if we wanted salt or not.

The appetizers were great, no complaints. We had clam chowder and crab cakes.

The entrees were not universally enjoyed however. Of the two salads, the ones that had chicken felt, the chicken was cooked too long, such that it was hard and inedible. Mom’s homemade turkey was clearly deli cuts. However the salad with shrimp and a crab cake was great and the fish entree was thoroughly enjoyed.

Now the big question. Would we go back? Yes, the food was not such that it was poor. It was just hit and miss. The dining room inside was big and comfortable and clean. The staff friendly. Was it special. No.

As others have stated the service was fast, friendly, and helpful.
My wife recommended the prime rib; on our previous stop I had ordered a steak( it was not good ), while she ate what she described as the best prime rib she has ever had. This time we both had the prime rib and I have to agree with my wife ; the prime rib was excellent, and very reasonably priced. My recommendation is to go and order the prime rib, you will not be disappointed.
