“Clean and good value for the money”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Was pleasantly suprised by this hotel. Having used other hotels in Udon Thani this one gets the nod for the best value for the money. Easy check in, very spacious room, incredibly clean. Did not notice the loud music others talked about....perhaps had a more interior room on the second floor. Would definitely use this property again. Great food next door at the Irish Clock as well.

Room Tip: no lift so 2nd floor may be best....

If you can live with a bit of music from the adjecent Central Plaza Mall - this is great value. Nice big and clean rooms - and very friendly staff. Will come back next year. It's located close to bars, restaurants and a very big mall, Central Plaza. Its new and the room are spacious and very comfortable.

I lucked on the hotel as I was walking down the soi thinking I needed a cheaper but nice place in which to stay. The building is set back from the street and looked very modern. On checking with reception I was pleased with the rooms and the prices. it was about half the price of the very nice hotel I was staying in. The staff and owner are extremely helpful, the room are fastideously cleaned every day. Bathroom is great. With air con and free wifi and in a soi full of bars and restaurants what more could one want. gets my tick of approval.

Room Tip: No lift so choose a room to suit your fitness

I stayed in this hotel last year and it was fine except for some problems with the internet connection. However this year I booked it again for two weeks and really regret it. Right in the middle of my stay they told me I would have to check out for 1 day because the hotel was already fully booked for that day.

Since most of the nice hotels were already booked I had to stay with a friend for one night. Then they told me if I came back the only rooms available would be at a higher price or on the fourth floor with no elevator.

The other issue I had was the noise. There was loud rock music played all day and all evening from the property next door. I could hear it clearly even with the windows closed. To make matters worse, they played the same loop of songs over and over again.

The mattress in the room was terrible and so cheap it had broken down to the springs on one side and should have been replaced long ago.

Then there was a bug problem with tiny little ants crawling all over in the bathroom and in the clothes closet.

The internet speed tested at 1.5 megs with Speed Test making it useless for anything other than email.

I will never stay here again.

Room Tip: There was loud rock music played all day and night coming from the property next door. Rooms near t...

We stayed at @Home at Udon for a night enroute to Khon Kaen. It was a great location for us as it was only a short walk to the Central Plaza mall where there is regular van transport available to Khon Kaen (less than 2 hours trip for 100 baht). The staff were friendly and provided good advice. The room was clean and of a good size. However, as we were being put up on the fourth level, it was tiring to get all the suitcases up and down. If you are having lots of luggages, you may want to request for a room on a lower level. Wifi is free but quite unstable in the room. Overall, for the price, the location and the comfort level of the room, I would return to stay in the same hotel if I will to visit the city again.

@Home resides on a side street, walking distance from the downtown bus station and the central plaza mall. The hotel is perfectly acceptable though fairly nondescript. The rooms were clean and comfortable with good a/c. Hotel wifi was quite bad, welcome to 1990's speeds. The wifi signal was strong so the problem was with the hotels connection to the internet. The hotel does not have a restaurant nor do the rooms have coffee/tea making supplies but there are a number of restaurants close by.

The Central Plaza mall is large and modern if you want/need to do some shopping, plus it has a Starbucks, helps make up for the lack of coffee in the hotel.

I stayed this hotel for 3 night. Room very clean, soft bed, nice, wide and have balcony for take a sit. Good area near shopping mall or night market. I can walk to shopping and have a foot massage near hotel. Room rate is very good. I stayed at the third floor, don't have lift but not too far for walk up. Nice staff, friendly staff. I love to stay here and will come back to stay again.

Room Tip: If you stay long, you can contact directly with hotel to get good price.
