I found the location very attractive since:
- The view is amazing: a beach with an island and the blue sea... no buildings in front hiding the nature.
- Have two good pools.
- I am the type of travelers who hate the places overcrowded of tourist where you have to fight for a table, here the noisy neighbors, pushy street sellers and travel hundreds of miles just to have an attractive western franchise as main attraction (which is what happens on Patong).
Anyway the hotel have some cons:
- The employees are very helpful but they low level on english makes them mix orders or just give up on help you.
- The beach in front is not for swimming (have no sand, just a weird hot mud very sticky)
- If you try to use taxis is very expensive: over 600 Baths
I read reviews about the distance saying that the location is not good but for me is a mixed feeling. If you behave as a simple tourist you will try to look for travel agencies all the time (which will charge you and additional price for pick you up from a "far distance", according to them. prices can be between 400 to 600 baths additionally to the booked tour or service... i'm including here some spas who offer to pick you up form the hotel) and use taxis... in both cases you will expend a fortune,...I found the location very attractive since:

Actually the hotel have a plus with this idea, the price is cheaper than even some car rental companies: 2.600 (aprox) Baths and you can negotiate with the driver if you need extra hours.
So at the end, the location of the hotel is not necessarily bad. Take also in count that in general terms, the transport is a major issue in Phuket (is hard to find taxis) so is super convenient to rent a car for a day, half day or even hours because is cheaper than taxis.More
