“Good value, nice pool, kids loved it”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2012

Great place for a couple of days. We atayed two days after arriving to thailand. Booked a deluxw family room on agoda for around 4300 bath. The room was 65 sqm and VERY nice.

We travelled with to children of two and ffour and they loved the pool with many canals, waterfalls, sculptures ets. And of cause the pool beach in front of the restaurant was a hit allowing us to finish breakfast while the kids played by the pool.

Went to bon island on our first day and can only recommend this as the hoteel has no direct beach acces. The trop is coordonated by the hotel free of charge. The beaches around the hotel are dirty amd filled with longtail boats for the europeans and speedboats for the japanese crowd

Breakfast was ok but not fantastic and the restaurant lacks charm. The staff are quite slow when it comes to removing plates and refilling coffee, but very friendly - and relaxed. All other meal we had at the restaurants along the beach

The personnel were all very friedly but we found the reception quite useless as theor english and maybe experience was poor. I.e couldent find timetables for the ferry to phi phi although available on internet.

Wifi is available but the signal is weak and most of the time non existing which combined with the lack of experience in the reception was a bit annoying, as we wanted to do a bit of planning.

We stay for two nights and wanted to head on to ko Lanta Rawi Warin after that. But for a couple of days and as a start out the place was perfect.

Hotel facilities are good. But I didnt enjoy much my stay in Rawai Palm Resort. I celebrated my bday there and I would say I had a sad birthday because of poor service. They should hire more staff and I think the manager should brush up a little more her management skills. I will not come back to that resort again because of poor service. The money I paid for was not worth it.

still here! Arrived in11th Feb and put into the room we requested overlooking the pools. we did have a problem with the air con and within twenty minutes or so, we were moved into the room next door. we have breakfast every morning and personally I enjoy it, enough choice for me, more than I have at home anyway! We hired a scooter and drove around and found some lovely places. we visisted the elephants today and they were just fab! This is a new hotel and everything is pristine. I certainly would recommend this place, Rawai is not a rowdy resort so if you are looking for a buzzing nightlife, try Patong. However if you want plenty of bars, eating places, then this is the place for you. There is a bar called Sugar and they have DJs playing good music and is open til about 5am or so.
I certainly rate this hotel and resort highly,

Room Tip: chose a high floor, views of both pool and the sea possible from at least 2 blocks

Stayed here for three nights. Rooms are brand new and huge .We had a pool room with our own little pool area which was wonderful. Bed was comfy Pool area was beautiful, fountains and landscaped and a pool bar. Very quiet hotel. A five minute walk to a few bars and restaurants . Ate at the hotel restaurant one night service was very slow and the music almost put us to sleep however the food was very good. Not a lot of night life here but very relaxing.
The staff are very nice however since it is a newer hotel they are a little slow in responding to requests and not a lot of English is spoken. Breakfast was O.K, eggs cooked how you like them but not a lot of selection to go with them.
Decided to take a speed tour to phi phi island which is beautiful with unforgettable snorkeling. Booked the boat that morning and had to wait allmost an hour for the guy to get fuel for his boat .It was a great day though ,but when we returned the tide was out and we had to walk in quite a ways. If you go down the night before and make arrangments he will fuel up then save a little time.
Overall a beautiful hotel and very relaxing. If you are looking for night life your outa luck.

Pool access rooms were very nice. Good private little pool area. Soft bed, nice pillows and towels. Huge bathtub. Breakfast was just standard. The swimming pool is huge and the hotel is very kid friendly (not great for couples wanting a more quiet place). Be very cautious about the location of your room if you're wanting sunshine on your patio. Walking distance to some restaurants.

Room Tip: If choosing a non pool access room, choose one on the east side and the southern most room, this way...

Stayed at Rawai Palm Beach Resort for 6 nights during January with my mother and teenager sister. We were overall happy with the resort considering they have only been operating for a few months.

STAFF:
The staff were quite friendly and tried to help with any matters, however quite alot of them spoke very poor English which made things difficult at times (for example we tried to order room service one night, the man on the phone had no idea what we wanted to order even thought we had to repeat ourself numerous times. Eventually after about 20 minutes on the phone they sumhow understood what we wanted and the correct food turned up) It wasnt that much of a big deal to us, but to some people it might have been. Overall they would be able to have better serice if they employed people with better English skills.

ROOMS:
The rooms are brand new so are quite nice and clean, the beds were abit hard but we were still able to sleep quite well on them. There were always alot of mosquitos in the room which was abit annoying, considering we made sure we kept the door shut at all times.

POOLS/BEACH:
Pools were nice and you could really tell that they were brand new! Same with deck chairs. Never many people at the pool. We didnt spend that much time at the pools, we would get the free shuttle that was included to a near by beach (5 minutes) and the lontail boat to Bon Island (10 minutes away)

RESTAURANTS/BAR:
Buffet breakfast was quite good most mornings, quite a good selection for all nationalities preferences. Dinner at the restaurant had excellent food! They make very good pad thai! There was one pool bar in the pool which was good but at night time if you want to have a drink or any sort of action, dont stay in the resort! Have to walk/ride a bike down the street of Rawai along the beach where there are lots of little local restaurants and bars.

Stayed here for 2 weeks and found it very good.
Nice service with bus and/or longtail boat to close by beaches.
Perfect for not staying at the same beach all the time.

The rooms were big and the free wiifi were top standard.
