We found this little coffee bar by chance but went several times during our stay in Nai harn. The cakes are to die for and the ambience wonderful.

Thank MoldJohn

This is a cute cafe with good coffee and yummy sweets. Staff are welcoming and there is free wifi. The noise from main road traffic is the only downside.

Read a lot on this café and finally went there during my months stay in Phuket. the menu is rather limited but the quaint and cute environment made up for everything. The décor is very retroish and rustic and the outdoor seating made you feel like your visiting a friend's house.

Free wifi was a plus and in totality, i went there about 10 times during my Phuket stay. everyone should check out this place for sure.

When I travel, I like to find places to dine that are unique, high in quality, and come with a sense of 'community' already established. It's not enough to be 'slick' -- you need to make your foreign clients feel WELCOME -- and Spoonful was the first place to achieve all of this in Rawai. It's a perfect central location, but unlike most other Thai cafes and eateries it is a lovely converted house (not a typical concrete box) set off the road a little in a shady jungle canopy. As soon as you arrive, you see all of the unique touches: rope swing, huge balcony, hand-painted signs, and lots of wood and glass.
But it is the PEOPLE and the FOOD that make 'Spoonful' shine. Owner Ploy is also the chef, and she's a smiling whirlwind who creates a delicious variety of cakes and confections for any dessert lover. (the 'Banoffee Pie' - a banana coffee fusion - is one of my favs). Meanwhile, her friendly staff make an extensive menu of hot, iced, and blended coffee drinks infused with high-quality beans from Northern Thailand, and often topped with real whipped cream!
In closing, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to anyone visiting for the first time (and reminding those who are thinking of returning) -- you'll feel like you found your little oasis island in a sea of Thai craziness, and your tastebuds will thank you for it.
