“100% Pure Relaxation !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2011

If you are looking for a place to just be relaxed, Serenity is a right choice.

We just came back from one week staying at this hotel. Check-in was quick and there was chilled drink and iced towel which was so good after 8 hours flying.

Room:
Our room was Standard Room. (We wanted to upgrade room to sea view but there was not available). The bed and sleeping stuff was so good. The quality of shampoo, shower gel and moisturizer was excellent. There were also tea/coffee maker, complimentary water, loaded mini bar and a safe for valuable things. Our room was so comfortable and nothing to complain.

Location:
The location of this hotel as you see on the map is far from downtown but there is Taxi service by the local taxi syndicate in front of the hotel and shuttle bus by resort.
Taxi fare (in THB) from Serenity to RAWAI: 200 – NAIHARN: 300- CHALONG: 200 – KARON: 500 – PATONG: 600- PHUKET: 500 AIRPORT: 1000- KAMALA: 1000 –CAPE PANWA: 600- LAGUNA: 1000
There's a 7-11 store across the road and a Tesco-lotus a few minutes drive from the hotel.
Tip: for shuttle bus you should book one day in advance at front office. Seats are allocated on a first come first serves basis up to maximum of 10 guests per shuttle bus

Staff:
All the staffs were great and friendly and ready to help us with anything. They were always smiling, behaved politely and considered guest’s needs.

Food and restaurant:
The breakfast buffet was good but in comparison to other 5 star hotels it was very normal. We expected more than that.
The “88 EAST” restaurant is lovely place by the beach for lunch, Dinner and hangout. In menu you can find both western and Thai food. We had lunch for five days there and all of the meals were so delicious. Thanks to chef.

Spa:
Don’t miss massage at Spa. “Pure loving” and “Reiki” are amazing and really rejuvenating. Staffs are very friendly and helped us to choose right massage. Masseuses are professional. We got 3 times massages and really enjoyed it.

Beach, pool and balu’s bar:
We spend most of our time by the pool. The lovely area which you can’t get enough of it. You can drink, sunbathe, read, knap and access to the internet by WiFi for checking email and enjoy the sea view. There is also free usage of mountain bikes and kayaks but for kayaking you should beware of tides.

In one word Serenity is peace of heaven!
Thanks to all staffs.

We've just returned home from an amazing 7 days in Serenity Resort, Phuket. It was a delayed honeymoon (after the first one was cancelled due to snow fall in the UK in December) so we'd been looking forward to it for a long time. It lived up to every expectation and we'd head back tomorrow if we could!

Serenity is based on the East coast of the island, which is much quieter than the West coast. We took the free shuttle bus to Patong one evening, but were glad we didn't stay there - Serenity is exactly as the name suggests, so peaceful and beautiful. We stayed put after that, spending 6 full days and nights at the resort. That's no sacrifice, as the food in the restaurant is amazing - literally every dish (from the salads and sandwiches, to the Thai menu) impressed us - and we are real foodies, so not easily impressed! The staff were so friendly too and the service was brilliant.

We had booked a Grand Suite, but were upgraded to a Penthouse Suite, which was a lovely touch. It was so spacious and enjoyed lots of relaxing hours watching DVDs in the room and getting room service too. The views are absolutely breathtaking and I'd really recommend dragging yourself out of bed on at least one of the mornings to watch sunrise as it's spectacular - we did that on the first morning, while still jetlagged, which we're so glad we did as we were far too relaxed to get up early after that!

The pool is gorgeous, with lovely views in the morning (in the afternoon, the tide went out and it wasn't quite so pretty, but just being fussy now!) No need to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve sunbeds, as it's very relaxed and there are beds free all the time (a lot of the rooms have their own pools, so the benefit is that the main pool never gets too busy). The breakfast view is the best I've experienced anywhere in the world (what could beat the sun glinting off the sea and view of islands).

Also, a special mention to the spa - which I visited 4 times throughout our stay for 2 x massages and 2 x facials. I'm a beauty journalist and I am very fussy about my treatments - but I was so so impressed. I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant and they took such good care of me, tailoring the treatments so I could still enjoy them. I have never felt so relaxed - and I've been to a lot of spa resorts! - and the treatments are very, very reasonably priced too. It was a real treat to head there every other day throughout our stay.

Finally, one of the evenings we booked a private BBQ on our terrace - a really romantic way to spend an evening. The food was delicious, but the only thing I could fault the resort on is that we were a bit confused by the experience as noone explained what would be happening - should we pick our meat? or would they cook it all? could we leave some of the fish as I was pregnant and husband wasn't keen? when should we head outside to the table? In the end, it was a really lovely experience, but my one bit of advice to the resort would be to work on the communication, as for 500 baht you want to feel relaxed from the very beginning. The staff were really lovely though, I just don't think they'd been briefed to give us an explanation.

I would recommend this resort to everyone - couples, families, travellers wanting a few nights luxury. We will DEFINITELY be heading back!

Room Tip: We had a sneak peek at the villas, which have their own pool - if you can afford it, I'd really...

Just returned from Phuket, where my friend and I spent a wonderful and totally relaxing week at Serenity. Amazing resort, where the staff are wonderful and only to happy to assist us. A bit out of the way, from the main hustle and bustle, but a great time was still had. Thank you to the ladies in the Resort Spa, we treated ourselves to the complete spa experience and was not disappointed. Would go back tomorrow!

A wonderful place to go for relaxation and to forget all your stress.

I had purchased a 3D2Ns voucher from Groupon website. However I had upgraded to a H2O Suite plus extended an additional night. I had also purchased the return airport return.

When reached airport, the weather is good. The airport return is easily to recognize once you come out of the airport. My name sign is printed clearly and I saw the driver immediately. During the journey to Serenity Resort, it rained a bit but stopped after a few minutes. Bottles of mineral water were provided in the car.

We are welcome by the receptionist counter. Iced cooling towels and iced tea were provided for you once you reached the resort. Check in procedures was fast. We were brought to our H20 Suite without much delay. H20 Suite (Room 878 is the centre out of 3 H20 Suite) is located at level 4, but no worries, there is a lift there. Near the receptionist counter, there is a traveling counter to check on any day trip. Although the tour price maybe a bit expensive than outside tour, the extra money is paid for reliability and trust on the resort. We booked a Day trip to James Bond Island for about $2900 baht per person (includes lunch, return airport transfer back, soft drinks and fruits are provided in the trip). It is a fun day trip, we feel safe with a tour guide. Everything is fine and excellent, lunch is good too. Tour Guide Andy is funny and friendly. Everybody enjoys his tour throughout. Outside tour charges about $1900 baht per person, but may not be secure & safe. [I ever booked outside tour when in Krabi in previous holiday, & it sucks cos we were quite lost when we were in islands hopping.]

Once I reached H20 Suite, we were too happy running around. A huge bed. A huge bathroom, with large bathtub, a large shower. A nice and comfortable sofa and TV in living room, also a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, stoves. There is a safe to lock your valuable things. The BEST is the roof top swimming pool, too wonderful. Big pool, with relaxing tables and chairs on roof top. U can have a hot drink after a swim.... hehe. No worries, there are beach towels in bathroom for swimming. Coffee and teas in the kitchen are complimentary. Btw, you can borrow up to 3 DVDs movies to watch in your room ya. The only negative point here is the bed and the aircon. Bed is not so comfortable but still managed to sleep. What is disturbing is the aircon which is quite noisy at night, when I switch to middle or large fans. Maybe the resort needs to maintain and see what the problem.

Yes, there is shuttle bus provided in Serenity to Jungceylon (Patong Beach), Festival Central, but take note shuttle bus starts from 5pm. Do remember to inform the counter to book your seat for the shuttle, prefer 1 day in advanced. Remember to check the pick up time as they will not wait for you if you are too late. Be in time on the pick up point. There is a taxi counter outside Serenity Resort, but is not under hotel care. It is quite expensive. As Serenity Resort is a quiet place, it is quite far from the city or town area. Opposite Serenity Resort has a 7-11 store, so is quite convenience for you. Turn right out of Serenity, walked down a few minutes, you will see a Thai restaurant, and a Halal Thai restaurant. The food there is about half of the resort. However, the resort food still taste better though.

Besides day tour, there is a Horse riding Club nearby. I didn't went, but did a check out on prices. Abt $1500 baht for a 1 -1.5 hours ride on house (walk in forest to beach side). If you take lunch or early dinner, you will see tourists riding house across 88 restaurant. I believe is a fun experience. For the breakfast, is may need to change their choices. 4D3Ns stay have the same breakfast. Choices has a varieties from Chinese porridge, western cereals, sausages, red beans, sushi (not that tasty), salads, eggs (with a staff to cook for you), fruits and juices.

I went there for my birthday. Serenity resort actually gives us a complimentary birthday cake for celebrations. Thank you Serenity resort.

Oh yes, you can rent a scooter or bicycles or even canoeing from the breakfast places. Is quite convenience. Overall, is a fun experience. Yes definitely a nice to come back again. FYI, the beach in front is not suitable for swim, but there is a pool at the breakfast place, so not a problem. The place is quite windy so is great as Phuket sun is hot ya. Suitable for friends, couples or family.

Room Tip: H20 Suite has a own private roof top pool. Excited Suite.

We recently returned from a week stay at serenity. We stayed in the two bedroom pool villa which was amazing, as the ocean was 5 steps from our deck. All the staff were great and ready to help with anything you needed. The only thing that was not perfect with this resort was the food. The breakfast is typical and you can't go wrong but any other meal, thai or western, was not great. If you are looking for good food The Pier is nice and reasonably priced. Hotel is about 5 minutes from nai harn beach, a public area with food vendors and a nice beach, chalong bay and the phuket horse riding club. Although the hotel has a shuttle service to nai harn beach and patong/jungceylon, it runs once daily. We found it more convenient to use a taxi, especially because of Arlee pronounced "Ali." His fare prices were negotiable as we used him the entire week, compared to the other drivers who used the listed prices. The resort is in a quiet area, not in an area to party. Overall we would stay here again but it can be tiring to leave the resort for food.

We (4 persons) have stayed here for 3 nights, 2 night in penhouse and 1 night in pool residence, as we want to have private pool so we send email to the hotel and upgrade our last night at a subcharge. The hotel is great and staff are nice, but the location is not near to downtown, I advise to book a car or drive yourself when you want to stay in this hotel, but it is worth, we enjoy much in the hotel, really can relax. Hotel parking is good, you can park your car near the area you live and don't need to walk far away to get back the car! Penhouse view is good, pool residence has the private pool (only too small to swim) but all in all, it is a good hotel, would like to stay there again in the future!

We stumbled upon this hotel on an offer with Groupon..and boy were we glad we did!

Already living in asia and travelling quite abit we have been spoilt, but this hotel did not let us down! it also helps that the flight distance is only 3hrs so by 1.30pm on the same day we were sat by our own private pool! But to be honest guys if you are coming from UK its still worth the travel!

We upgraded from the orginal offer which was for a garden view..but saying that they were also very nice. But as it was our anniversairy we upgraded to the H20 suite for really not too much money.

Also in the deal was a 90min massage each and a free evening meal. But if you have missed the Groupon deal you can actually buy this deal on arrival for around 1,300THB which is well worth it.

We arranged with them for airport transport 1,300THB each way, I would recommend this as it was very comfortable and takes around 45mins.

The staff are very welcoming on arrival. The roof top with pool was amazing and we never actually left it!! The fridge is stocked up well with a selection of wines, beers and soft drinks plus ice creams! Ok wine is expensive in Thailand but as a treat we did have the white wine.

We also had room service for lunch every day which was so nice. The selection of the menu beats your normal 'hotel' choices.

Do not expect nightlife here..it is for relaxing and it does the job. But they do provide a free shuttle every evening to Patong if you do wish to break your blissful quiet time... we avoided this option like the plague! who needs that! been there! done it!

The breakfast was very nice, lots of healthy choices but also bacon and beans if you wanted it!

Evening meal was always very nice, great food, but I will say it was quite quiet so don't expect it buzzing with atmosphere.

The only downfall is the bar! The staff were not as attentive as in the other areas. The choices of wines not that great.....but thats if they understand what you are saying as in this area they also spoke less English we felt. They did get our order wrong on all occasions. We also felt as we are experienced in travelling in Asia that nuts or nipples were missing..this is always a nice touch plus a coaster to catch the dripping drinks but its only a minor issue. So this area they do need some training in serving drinks...but on a whole they were pleasant the same as all the staff are.

The Spa was very nice and we did treat ourselves to an additional session. Massage is another area we are well travelled in and did feel that we have had better at home in Hong Kong...this is the basic Thai massage my hubby is referring too! I had the detox lymphatic and that was brillant! I felt very detoxed after, and no bruises!

We had the head massage on once occasion but I did not rate that and did not feel any better and plus I had so much coconut oil on my head I smelt like a pina colada haha! and for 2 days I could not wash it out..so bad hair day after that treatment! So guys easy on the coconut yeah??

So to sum it up though we loved it! Our room was lovely! So peaceful and managed to finally finish our novels we had started 2mnths prior! To have your own pool to plunge into is lovely!

The products in the bathrooms are gorgeous! especially the bath salts! The shower was big enough to hold ten people!

Great break! Thank you Serenity :0

Room Tip: The pool rooms with sea view are better if you can get one. Becareful of the upper garden rooms as...
