Having been in Thailand for a couple of weeks we fancied a change of cuisine and this place came well recommended.
The venue was very nice and had a pleasant ambience, it was full, so having not booked we got a table inside which turned out well as it was air conditioned but you still felt like you were outside. The staff dealt with our initial order quickly and efficiently however from that point onwards it went downhill. We were a party of 8, four adults, two teens and two babies so were keen to get them fed first so we could enjoy our dinner. This didn't happen, despite the two teens both ordering carbonara there was a 25 minute gap between their 2 plates being delivered, surely it was cooked in the same batch? There was a 45 minute gap between the first main being delivered and the last main so none of us actually ate together and to make it worse the last main to be delivered was the 2 year olds which made the whole dinner harder to manage as he was desperate to eat. All the way through dinner the staff were inattentive and slightly grumpy, very unlike the Thai service we have become accustomed to.
After finishing our mains we were keen to just go but the kids really wanted ice cream which we ordered. After taking our initial order they then returned 10 minutes later to tell us they didn't have the flavours we ordered, we re-ordered and they returned 5 minutes later with one order of ice cream and then told us they didn't have the new order either so we canceled the order. When the bill turned up they had left the canceled orders on there. We thought the meal was quite expensive for what would have been an average Italian meal in London.
It's a real shame, this place could be a real gem but they've really let themselves down with the service and the quality of the food which doesn't command the price tag they ask.
