“A hidden treasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2012

What a wonderful little surprise this was, perhaps enhanced by the fact that we we quite literally the only visitors on the island for most of the day. Nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff here who went to the extent of setting up a table on the beach and delivering our food and drinks down to the water's edge. The food was fresh, tasty and cheap but our lasting impression will always be of the friendly, obliging staff and what they did to make our day on Bon Island truly magical.

“Location, location, location.”

Need I say anymore. Oh, food okay too. Prices okay, but just sitting on chairs where the water is lapping at your feet is amazing.

“Food for everyone”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2012

Had dinner on our wedding night here which was beautiful and set up on the beach. This particular holiday we all enjoyed the food. Enough spicy options for hubby and a kids menu for our son. And great because you can charge to the room.

“The Whole Deal”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2012

So titled because you have to get there entailing a long tail boat [altho speedboats are available] wade ashore, eat swim and then get back to Rawai. There is no doubt the food is great, cheap and reasonable. BUT the beach is littered with broken coral and rocks and
at low tide a hazard to toes and feet when trying to swim, improving slightly as the tide makes. The toilets andchange room are pretty average and the island has no fresh water so no fresh showers. Dining can be delightful, but don't expect the Ritz, a plateful of prawns, a shady spot and a drink can make it special
Being of a greater age I had great difficulty with the longtails, getting on or off was quite difficult and even dangerous and I would suggest that the more mature evaluate this method of transport no matter where unless its from a jetty.
Living in Queensland I can find beaches of better quality within a very short distance of my home, but would not like to detract from the enjoyment a visitor, lessluckier than I, would have of visiting a true tropical island.
So please enjoy Bon, and watch out for sunburn, especially the soles of your feet

“romantic private dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2012

After watching the sunset we had a romantic private candlelight dinner all alone on the beach of bon island. though there were a lot of mosquitos it was amazing to sit at the beach at night, see the stars and the moon and nobody else. almost too romantic ;) the steak was excellent an unforgetable night!!
