We booked this place 5 months in advance. a few days before our arrival we were contacted and told that they were overbooked and we had to look elsewhere. We were contacted again after a complaint to booking.com. This time they were assuring us we could stay with them they have a room.
We arrived at 3pm, staff was very unfriendly, they do not like taking cards( they only want cash!!!).We were charged 3percent bank charge and had to show the receptionist how to swipe a card. We were then informed that the room was not ready we had to wait 30minutes. We sat in the heat waiting.once ready we were taken to the street carrying all our luggage and marched 200 metres up the street. While walking we were told this was another room of Kata View guesthouse. This was a lie!!!! We had no Wi-Fi. To get to the room you had to walk up flights of stairs.
This whole experience was enough too taint a holiday.
We never got an apology , we were lied too , we were walked further up the street ... The walk to the beach was really far.
I would like to encourage everyone to not book here. There are many cheaper and better places too stay and closer too the beach. Do not trust a place that can blatantly lie!!!!More
