We got a great rate on our room so even though it was not perfect, it was fair for what we paid. A lot of reviewers talk about the difference between which building you are in, and they are very right. The nicer rooms are in the "Lakeside" building, which has the spa, gym, and a bigger and more luxurious pool. The other "beachside" building of the property has a smaller pool, and for our room we had the infamous concrete wall view that others have complained about. It was not lovely to look outside of course, but the room was big and well enough appointed with amenities so we didn't worry about trying to upgrade and set our minds to enjoy the trip, which we did very much. Th breakfast buffet was perfectly adequate, and we ate well each morning, but it was not exceptional in any particular way. Still, for the low rate we paid, there was nothing to complain about.

I walked to the other building every day to go to the gym, which has 2 ellipticals, treadmills, and stationary bikes. There were yoga mats, free weights, machines, and balance balls so you could really get a varied workout.

The best thing about staying here is the location. It was one block away from Bangla Street which leads to the beach, and there were lots of restaurants worth visiting in the Mall adjacent to the property. The mall also has a grocery store and 7 Eleven, Starbucks, Subway, etc., so anything you would want was very close at hand. If we stay at this hotel again we will upgrade to the Lakeside building, but if you check in and find yourself in the Beachside don't despair because you can stay there and still have a great time in Patong.

Room Tip: The spa is more than double in price even after the Hotel guest discount, and my husband and I were...

we stayed march 2014 , found the location absolutely excellent-you can walk through a door in the lobby straight into Jung Ceylon shopping centre.
A few minutes walk to Bangla Road and the beach , walk to everything .
Room was large , clean , comfortable , big balcony with pool view.
We had a bit of a hiccup when we first checked in , had to change rooms , but we found the staff professional ,courteous , throughout the mini ordeal!
Second room was better , and the breakfast buffet was great! - not just the food , but the staff absolutely fabulous, friendly , concerned with our comfort.
In short , would not hesitate to recommend.
Sure , the hotel room furnishings may seem a little tired _ we actually couldn't use the bathtub , the plug was broken , as was the sink plug , our first room had furniture that was very smelly because a liquid spill hadnt been dealt with-but "it`s what you make of it", and once we settled , we thouroughly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here early May 2014 and found not only the service fantastic, the quality of the facilities were also better then expected. This hotel has 2 sections, Beachside and Lakeside. Both sections are adjoined by the Jungceylon Shopping Complex that has everything you will ever need.

We stated in the Beachside wing and from the front of the hotel its a 200Mtr walk the Bangla Road and otherwise called "Party Central" where after 10pm you can let your hair down and party till your feet fall off.

A visit to the Tiger Bars is a must on Bangla Road.

The hotel has a tour representative who assists you in getting out and about in Phuket, from visits to Tiger Kingdom to Pi Pi Islands or Jams Bond Island tours. All well priced.

We will be going back to the Millennium. We loved it

Room Tip: All rooms appear to be doulbe glazed and external noise is minimal

This was my 3rd stay at the Millennium hotel.

Overall it's nice, though the hotel is starting to get old. Location is hard to beat (just above the Jungceylong shopping mall - which is nice to stroll around in very hot days).

Hotels normally confirm your credit card (deposit) cancellation at check-out immediately > Millennium hotel requires a two week period for the cancellation. Bit annoying as one has to double-check again at a later date to make sure.

Complaint: I am a repeat customer and it was my girlfriend's birthday on Monday. Despite having sent two emails to the hotel in order to arrange for a birthday cake (which is indeed possible since they did arrange on my previous stay) - I received no reply whatsoever. They simply ignored my emails and requests. A simple reply would have been appreciated. Not quite a 5 star standard, sorry. A proper 5 star hotel will arrange something for your birthday without having to request. Very disappointed.

Not the worst place to stay - but there's loads of other options in Patong area.

We had a bit of a hiccup when we first arrived as our room had a very unappealing outlook over a concrete roof & the balcony was on display to the patrons of Jungceylon. ( not the upgraded private balcony we had booked). Once this was rectified & we moved to room 515 over looking the pool we were much happier but the whole process left us a bit disgruntled. Not a good start, but we settled. The hotel is well positioned but needs a bit of a refresh. It looking a bit tired. Only one lift was working for the whole two weeks we were there & it took a bunch of workers abt a week to replace a small stage in the foyer which my husband could do on his own in a day! Also, we are not sure where the garbage bins are, but there is a pervading odour in the foyer & stairwells most days. Happy hour at the pool is good, but there is no atmosphere in the bar 98 or lounge area or happy hour or any entertainment at all. Breakfast is substantial but does not vary much from day to day. The rooms are well maintained (although they always forget the bottled water) & the staff lovely. In fact the staff make up for the little daggy bits that just need tidying up. We did enjoy our time here, but we have been to Patong three times before & in comparison to our other stays this hotel would be at the bottom of our list.

Room Tip: Rooms over looking the pool on floors 4 & up would be the best. Also rooms in the lagoon wing no...

We recently stayed for 7 days at the millennium, lakeside. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with friendly staff. We were taken to our room. My husband did not like the deluxe room of its position. We went back downstairs and spoke to Jennize. We explain to her that it was our 30th wedding anniversary and we would like a room with a swimming pool view. She was so helpful and went out of her way to relocate us to another deluxe room, which overlooked the swimming pool. She made sure that we were happy with our new room. The following day we went out and when we got back to,our room there was a beautiful cake waiting for us. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable. Breakfast was wonderful. Everything you could possible want. The only criticism is that it took a while for the chefs to replenish the food. However having said that there was plenty of other food on the buffet whilst the other dishes were being replenished. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and very helpful.
I would highly recommend the mellenium for its location, service and helpful and friendly staff and I would recommend to,stay on the lakeside as I believe the beachside is very noisy. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff for an enjoyable holiday.

Room Tip: Deluxe,,pool view, lakeside, much quiter.

The best location in the amazing Patong Beach area. The main feature is the connection with Jungcelon shopping mall. Nearby the famous Bangla road, many international restaurant options, exchange booths, diving centers and a short walking distance to the beach.

Friendly staff.

Reasonable breakfast options.

Nice rooms although the one we've got has a balcony that faces a wall!! it was described by the receptionist as a partial pool view.

Room Tip: I strongly recommend you to book the cabana rooms that have a direct access to the pool. It is a ver...
