“Indian Holidays @ Millennium Phuket – Best place near the beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

I went on family trip to Phuket for 4 days. We had our Thailand bookings online through Antilog
Vacations – a known Thailand tourism holiday company ,after reading the reviews on trip advisor and we very happy that we choose Millennium hotel for stay. The hotel was unexpectedly good we like the look, location, service and rooms of the hotel very much.

Location:

The hotel is situated near to Patong beach on the Bangla road which is the most happening road in Phuket. Bangla road is famous for its night life and restaurants. All the shops, bars and restaurants were open till late night. Millennium resort is also connecting to Jungcylon Mall. This five stars hotel offers high quality with beautiful vision.

Rooms:

We stayed in Cabana rooms which offer private terrace and personal Jacuzzi with access to the pool. Rooms are beautifully furnished with personal safety deposit boxes, DVD player, internet access and mini bar. Room was facing towards the pool area and which was just gorgeous. Pool was very cleaned and lightly patronized.

Other facilities in hotel:

Hotel was having well equipped gym. Gym was well maintained and air conditioned overlooking the pool area which gives the fresh vibes while workout. There is also a luxurious Escentika Spa in the hotel to pamper you. All the male members of our family tried the spa.

Dinning:

Breakfast was complimentary with the fare of the room. They offered breakfast in the buffet style deliciously covering all dietary requirements like juices, milk, tea, coffee, toast, sandwiches, jams and much more. We didn’t tired lunch and dinner in the hotel as most the time we were outside the hotel enjoying the place.

Staff of the hotel was outstanding, they very attentive and was always there to help you. Housekeeping staff was also very good they regularly clean all the rooms. We just enjoyed our stay and will recommend this hotel as the best place for stay in Phuket near the beach.

Listen, it's nothing great. Split between two separate buildings it shares the premises with Jung Ceylon the largest shopping mall in Patong area and perhaps in Phuket. The hotel room was quite dated and overall services were slow. The lobby was always crowded and seemed that the hotel is quite popular. The hotel is just walking distance for the happening Patong area and that seems to be a big plus in its favor. Breakfast was decent but wifi was charged. I wouldn't like to stay here again but if I was younger, with friends and looking to party the hotel would be ok. It's definitely not five star!

Room Tip: Lakeside building is better

We stayed here in Nov 2012, with my family of 4. The location of this hotel is great, it is connected to the Juncelyon Shopping centre, which provided easy access to shops, restaurants, cafe and Bangla road and the beach, did not need to take tuk tuks or any form of other transport. This was our third year in a row in Patong so we had an idea where we wanted to stay.

Not greeted when arriving, as a 5 star hotel would, we just came from the Sofitel in Krabi and Le Meridein in Khoa Lak, and these resorts were the best i have ever been in. However the girl at the check in her name was Alisa and she was great and very helpful, throughout our stay.

The hotel has two wings, one is beachside , with a smaller swimming pool. The swimming pool in lakeside is much larger, surrounded by the cabana rooms. The rooms were large, we booked two rooms as we were 4 people with pool view in the Lakeside wing the beach road wing is seperate but and faces the noisey street. The pool was nice and plenty of room. Only problem that when the lady cleaned the room she would leave the door opened and the room would fill with mosquitos.

The only let down of this resort was that the breakfast was poor quality, not 5 star, maybe 2 star, but as per the other resorts we stayed in the breakfast was 10stars. In the end i had breakfast at a cafe in the shopping centre for the remainder of my trip even though i had payed for it in the hotel. The area/room they served breakfast in was full of mosquito.

I will stay here again, but will book without breakfast

Room Tip: Watch out for the mosquitos

Stayed there in Sep 2012 for 4 nights.
I just loved it.
Infact I picked this hotel only coz of trip advisor and it turned out to be very true!!!!
I got lucky coz with the price in the restaurents as they were on a 50% discount fare that whole month :D
Breakfast was included! and it was lovely.
Since the hotel is within the Jung Ceylon Mall , we had lots of other options to dine in too.
10 mins walk to the beach and the walking st!
My trip was best coz of this hotel.
Their spa is just too good but I was able to use it twice coz of their 50% discount :P
Their staff are v nice and their service made the stay even excellent.
Will definitely go there again.... infact i am insisting my husband we go here for a short trip.
Went with friends on a holiday.

Very good location hotel

It is best situated on the busiest street in Patong, linked to the largest shopping mall - Juncelyon; where you can find everything. Over twenties restaurants, shops selling all kind of souveniors, large super market, many spa and massages. You need at least half day to go through all the shops there. And it is just 2 minutes away from the beach or the bars, pubs.

There is a fresh market named Banzaan which is just 3 minutes away behind the Juncelyon shopping mall. In day time up to 5PM, it is a fresh market selling fruits, vegetables and sea food, the price is cheaper than the restaurants. You can buy the sea food and take it to the 3rd floor, there are food stalls there can help you to cook the sea food for a cheap price. At night time, the area outside the market will become a night market with many food cars. We tried some of the food and they are really tasteful. The price is cheap for around 20B or 40B for a portion, satay, fried chicken, meats, desserts, fish ball noodles, many different variety on a cheap price. You can try many different things at one time. But you have to prepare to sweat a lot, it is really hot.

The hotel has two wings, one is beachside where all the superior rooms are, with a relatively smaller swimming pool. The swimming pool in lakeside is much larger, surrounded by the cabana rooms. You have to go outside the hotel and across the street to go to the lakeside, only 2 minutes but worth to use the larger and nicer swimming pool there.

The superior room is large, clean and modern, same as you saw on the hotel's website. Wifi is quick in the room. Breakfast is no surprise and do not miss anything that normally have, and it has a fresh juice corner that is a bnous.

At first, we have think of those large villa up to the hill or in Kata or Karon beach, away from the crowded. But we don't want to limit our choice of eating, spa, shopping in the hotel only, or we have to deal with the tuk tuk drivers and waste time to travel to other area like Patong. So at last, we chose Millennium because of it's location. We can easily back to the room for a nap or shower after a few hours shopping, massage, etc. It's so hot to be ouside for the whole day. Although it situated in the most crowded area, it is very relax and quiet in the hotel, you can happily spend a few hours sun bathing in the swimming pool.

I definitely will stay in this hotel again next time.

Booked a stay 3, pay for 2 deal-buffet breakfast inclusive. Stayed in the Lakeside wing. Initially given a twin room but requested a change to a king which happened immediately. Location is good if you are looking to frequent the many bars found in Patong and partake in haggling at the multiple shopping stalls. Resort is connected to Jung Ceylon shopping mall. Buffet breakfast was lovely and there was a wide variety of foods. Room was clean but I felt was only just standard but we didn't spend much time in there so was adequate for what we needed. Bed was very comfy. The airconditioning smell was very musty and was difficult to ignore and the night club was just across a courtyard so music could be heard until closing(5am). Our room was located on the 4th floor which was pool and spa level. The pool (although we didn't use it) looked very inviting as was always in use. Should have asked for an upgrade to the Jacuzzi/pool access room in hindsight. Had a beautiful margaraita pizza at the pool bar-made and cooked at the bar. Lunch and dinner at the Bistro was superb. The excellent service from all staff made this stay very good instead of average

Room Tip: Request a room not near the nightclub and go for the upgrade to a Jacuzzi/pool access room if within...

The hotel is really on the normal side. If you are just looking for a place to crash and nothing more, this is really the place for you. This kinda the place where usually tour guide/groups will book for their customers. The lobby is usually really busy with tour groups and the room is really on the very very normal side. The only benefit is that the Hotel is connected to a shopping mall but honestly you are in phuket, don't think a shopping mall is all that important.

It's roughly 10 mins walk over to patong beach. Not really my ideal place and beach unless you are really into the night scene cause patong really wakes up at night.
